Nice and helpful intro and demonstration of a new type of hardware. I wonder whether it's any less easy to nick or slice yourself as it might be with a straight razor. Is the razorine any less aggressive or "forgiving"? Thanks, Geo (or is that Gio?).
It is definitely more forgiving than a traditional straight razor. It has safety bars on the sides of the blade so its comparable to shaving with a safety razor.

4 years late to the party, just started using straight razors and love it. Question though, do they make one with a smaller screw or possibly a screw on each side (yes separate holes because thread patterns wouldn't work the same, or would it be possible to just tighten with a counter clockwise twist??) I ask because I simply can not use my left hand for steady shaving of my left side, so I use my right and have to go against the grain in spots, and with that big screw it would be in the way for my use.
@geofatboy the way it's set up now is you can only tighten from one side, so the bolt you twist will always be on the "top" side. For my use I would need one that would have a bolt that could tighten from the bottom side as well. Not both sides at the same time, just the ability to switch which side is being tightened

Hello, would this be a good candidate for a first entry into the DE / Safety Razor world ? Whatever I get, I will also be using it for touching up the back of the neck (Nape hair) Thanks!
I've been shaving with a DE Safety Razor for almost 20 years. I recently tried a straight razor and gave up after 3 tries and a dozen (sometimes deep) cuts on my face. I wonder if the Razorine would be a good intermediate step in terms of shaving with a straight razor? I shave both sides of my face right-handed with my safety razor. Would that be a problem with the Razorine? I just can't make the switch to the left-hand method. BTW, love these videos. I send links to them to my 90 Y/O father who has used shaving soap his entire life and his face skin is still very healthy.
The Razorine is an excellent precursor to a straight razor. Best part is you can practice without the blade, then insert the blade and Get your shave on! I use both hands but you can alter my method any way that suits you.
@@mayurpatel2901 what do you mean by hollow ground? I've just bought a shavette to try since it's cheaper than investing in a straight razor and the gear.
The blade on a straight razor is usually very flexible, which makes it comfortable. The amount of flex has to do with how the blade has been made. On one extreme, you have a "wedge" and on the other extreme you have a "hollow ground." A hollow ground blade is very thin from the face of the blade all the way to the edge so it has a lot of flex. A shavette reinforces the blade, so it is not flexible at all.

Yo . Dont use wallpapers in back . Use bathroom backround . Makes it look like real shave . As its always done in a bathroom and not at some bridge. Btw your vidoes are good !
This razorine thing is for us, the beard community. It's for shaving off the unwanted cheek hairs which just crawl up to your eye area, shaping the mustache and making cheek & neck lines. No offence bro, but I don't see any thing in this for the clean-shaven gentlemen.
So you didn't just watch me shave off a pretty heavy beard growth from my entire face? You are correct about the beard and mustache shaping. Great for bearded and non-bearded Gentlemen.
Needs a more manly grip. Kind of girly...that's why they don't sell pink HD. "Perception"..most will see no reason to give up their more manly DE Razors...I would stick it in a block of carved wood for a handle..."The making of the girly man"...if you showed that razor to a hundred men. 99.9 would say it was a product designed for their wife or girlfriend...check with me next time..If you want the obvious stated..nice picture...lol
We wet-shavers are an industrious group. I'm sure you'll see alterations to the handle design before too long. Just an FYI-If it you think it looks girly, it shaves manly.
geofatboy men with large hands and large egos will reject this razor but I applaud your efforts to bring new products to the public....Here's a thought. Make it in pink. And it won't sit on the shelf for long. It defiantly has a female flavor...And you know how women hate hairy legs...lol
geofatboy make it. In pink or light blue...and have a female demo it in a video. Needs a matching case too. You'll sell a million of them...you can thank me later...lol...The truth is you may get some men to buy it..but they won't admit to using it...their just collectors of new stuff...or they may buy as gifts for their lady friends....exploit every angle...Side burns...arm pits. Under nose ..legs..even pets need a trim...great for barbers to trim after they cut your hair...I think you can sell the product but let the people decide how to use it...don't limit them to a face shave only

Shavette is a registered trademark of Dovo, no?
James Christensen I believe it is, but the ten is widely used and accepted as a generally descriptive term.
Don't think that would be enforceable. I think it is now a sweeping term for replaceable blade straight razors...
I can't believe you shave with that razor without pulling your skin. That's some high-risk shit ! looks scary
Hi Kahveh - Watch closely, I stretch my skin by making various facial contortions. Chin down, bullfrog, etc.
Interesting!💈👀💈
Absolutely!
Your straights always look like they struggle but that razorine blew through the goat. Interesting.
Yo . Dont use wallpapers in back . Use bathroom backround . Makes it look like real shave . As its always done in a bathroom and not at some bridge. Btw your vidoes are good !
Thnaks for your input Sikander. Wait-you never shaved in front of a bridge before?
geofatboy lmfao . I dont think that would be a good idea xD
second time should not have shaving sound
I have a very sensitive recording device that picks up the good stuff!
Keep calm and clear the runways. LOL

Brother that's not a heavy beard. :)
It's really helpful in styling a full beard
Needs a more manly grip. Kind of girly...that's why they don't sell pink HD. "Perception"..most will see no reason to give up their more manly DE Razors...I would stick it in a block of carved wood for a handle..."The making of the girly man"...if you showed that razor to a hundred men. 99.9 would say it was a product designed for their wife or girlfriend...check with me next time..If you want the obvious stated..nice picture...lol
but gripping it like that you don't have as much risk cutting yourself...
Under nose ..legs..even pets need a trim...great for barbers to trim after they cut your hair...I think you can sell the product but let the people decide how to use it...don't limit them to a face shave only
It's not a razor...it is a "Hair sculpture accessory"....put it in a alligator case...and every man and women will buy one for travel...
