I started following you last year and just now this came up in my feed. It's really cool to see just how far the channel and the maker have come along. Much respect.
I bought the plans for this table last year from you and then life went crazy. I'm looking to finally making this table next month. GREAT plans by the way. Thanks for all the details and sharing the small but helpful tips as you went through the video. Blessings to you! ♥️🙏💪
Thanks again for your easy to follow build on the farm table. I just finished the table for thanksgiving. My wife loves the look and we went with a black stained base and a gray stained top made from 2x12's. My table is counter height and 72 inches long and 44 inches wide. Best part is I made it for half of what it would cost and built benches for it for that price.

Hello Matt. I made a table and bench’s from your design for my daughter. To say she loved it would be an understatement. Then her best friends (a adopted daughter) from grade school now wants one. I want to a furniture store to try to price something like that and they did not have anything like that but now the sales person there wants one.
Howdy Mr. 731.. Dug up this gem of a video from your early days.. Father's day is coming up and my wife wants me to build her dad (I call him Pops) a patio table for the porch umbrella we just bought him for his birthday a month ago. Little did we know or even think about...those umbrellas, even with the 50lb base we got, is NOT a stand alone umbrella. The slightest breeze knocks it over. Soo...It needs a table to be inserted into. Quick search on TH-cam and found your video...AGAIN (I've watched it several times before. But now, I'm looking for ideas. So, I'm gonna incorporate aspects of your build along with some other tables I've seen...tweak them a bit and build my Pops an umbrella table.

This is AWESOME! I’m going to make an attempt on this with my dad! Super excited to do this project with him! Can you put a list of materials needed to make this table and 2 benches? Thanks!
First of all…your channel is awesome man. Lots of great info. I’ve been doing woodworking for a good while and I’ve learned some new techniques that work great alongside my current techniques. I’m new to furniture builds though. My question, is it possible to use 4x3’s instead of 4x4’s? I’ve got some kiln dried white oak that’s 4x3’s and old barnwood that I reclaimed myself. I’m sure it’s possible to do this same project with the 4x3’s however, if it’s a much more tedious approach then I’ll break down and purchase some 4x4’s. Appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thanks again.
Looks incredible, awesome work! How do you like the planer? Do you get a lot of use out of it? I’ve been searching Craigslist for one, hopefully success soon! Cheers for posting, inspiring to watch!
Love this table! I have 2 quick questions. 1. Would it hurt to move the bottom spreader up 16-18 inches? My wife is disabled and had to be able to strech out her feet. and 2 I do not have access to a table saw or a joiner, how would I go about making the table top? It is so uplifting to hear someone who is willing to help others and not afraid to mention Jesus on U tube
@@731Woodworks this table cant be built without s4s wood? I was thinking about picking up wood thats probably not squared off. I could go to a lumber yard where they have s4s wood
Hey Matt, let start off by saying that your channel and the builds you do and provide have kick started my business. I am now running a successful woodworking business and it is because of you providing plans and guidance on your channel. So I want to say thank you. I do have a question. I am currently building this table and my wife asked the question about moving the table. I am using Zclamps to secure the top to the base. I know it is not recommended to lift the table by the top to move it. So when you move your table how are to carrying it? Should a customer remove the top to get it into their home?
If you use the tiny screws that come with the z clips don't lift with the top. With a tuba8 top you can use longer screws and the top will be secure for lifting.
I have built the square coffee table and end tables. They turned out great thanks to your videos. I am working on the farmhouse dinning Table with 2 benches now. All for my daughters new house. I built the base for the table 5 ft for a 6 ft table. she ask if i can make it longer after i built the base. How far do you think i can get away with hanging the ends off the table.
What size and type of screw did you use to join the 2 stretchers to the legs? Also, great video. I’m getting into woodworking for the first time and this video really helps. Subscribing for sure.
When trimming the edges, your straight edge should be on top of the table, if the edges aren’t perfect the guide will follow the imperfections thus creating another uneven edge.
Great build! I was starting this project today. I purchased your master plan package. I was starting the dining table and bench today. I needed to build it for 8 persons.....going 96 inches long on top and bench. Question: Do I need to add any extra supports? Your plans are only for 60 inches. TIA
just an idea but if you use a 1/4 " spade bit to a depth of 1/2 " on the top and bottom ends that would give the screw more bite into the upright, and then plug the holes with 1/4" dowel
