  • This week we are out in Nessa, our self-built campervan, exploring Warwickshire. We’ve just left The National Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC and we’re looking for a park up. There’s lots of mud and lots of flooding along the way.

Morning. Art is definitely in the eye of the beholder, so if you like it then that's all that matters.

How to easily remove coffee and tea stains in mugs, but some Bar Keepers Friend Stain Remover. Use a sponge washup with a little water to moisten the powder and voila.

Or hold it over the kettle spout & wipe before it dries.
Or fill with fizzypop-soaked kitchen roll (carbonic acid from the CO₂), a cola with phosphoric acid is best except it can leave purple or black marks on steel (even stainless).
The ultimate is oxalic acid but it needs the hazchem gear to use it.

Surely, when one washes up, you rinse them before you put them on the draining board, before you dry them, otherwise you’re just drying off dirty water, it’s a bit like several people using the same bathwater over and over again. 😊

In all our years, we've never done that. Still alive and not wasting water. Tea towels always clean. 🙂

      I rinse though many don't.
      Professional restaurants rinse.

the maxxair fan can be set on temp mode where it will open and close on its own to regulate the temp

It seems a bit bonkers for it to be that. It was even opening at night at 0°C!

1:32 the worry is subsidance - huge sinkholes open occasionally, holes plenty big enough to trap a van with no clue on the surface unless there's flow.
Of course you could try the gung-ho boy-racer technique - hit the water at over 90mph & aquaplane to the other side, praying all the way that you're facing the right way when you find grip 😅 You'll go straight over the sinkholes though you'll probably flip the van over 😂

Hey 👍🏼have you thought about using a bit of 12mm ply with a piano hinge attached to one of the seat bases and when you want to use as a bed just flip the board over and rest on a lip on the other seat?
    Hope that makes sense 😊

Hi my max fan used to close if i lost power. I realised the fuse breaker was faulty. I replaced it and its been all good since.

Thank you. We think we've ruled that out as a problem. Hope to find a solution soon!

    Good morning to you both,
Nice to see you are getting things how you like them in the van, as for the table could you not make a little flip up table on the bulk head or create a slide out table from under the bed just a couple of idea's 😊.
Pub stop what a shame 😂.
Wall art is a nice feature 👌.
Take care and enjoy your travels.
    Paul and Joanne 👍
I have the fitville trainers v comfy, nice discount on the walking shoes 👍

We thought about the slide out option initially but it would mean taking everything off if the person in the single seat wanted to get up. Pub stops are such hard work 😂😂😂

The wood effect to hide the conduit gets 👍 from me. I would hang some miniatures onto it to make a feature.

At my private school in the grounds there was a haha pit, like dried up dyke. Did not know the real meaning as just explained. We all thought it was called this because it was overgrown with stinging nettles and to be pushed into it meant lots of the boys would be laughing. Avoided it like the plague.

I bought fitville trainers and they were so comfy.
Unfortunately something went wrong on the inside heal and was like a spike poking in my heal.
Fitville customer service, if you can call it that basically said tuff.
So ok when there free, not when you pay £60 and now can't wear them. So beware.
And by the way. Yes I think I like your wall art 👍

Is your steering wheel a standard fitment as it looks quite small, I personally like small wheels. At NEC you discovered a folding table, would not that fit into your plans.

    • @pitched_up_wanderers
      @pitched_up_wanderers  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

We think it's standard. Certainly feels like a car to drive. Very comfortable.

I once had a power steering belt break, I was really glad I had a large steering wheel. Steering took both arms & a lot of effort, with a small wheel I would have had no steering...
