- Join us as we leave our house, move into our van and begin our van life adventures! Not travelling far and wide but staying local, in and around Somerset and Wiltshire, working as normal just doing it differently. So far so good. Staying at Chew Valley lake, Wells and Maiden Bradley.

loved your vlog, happy I found your channel. Some beautiful park up areas. Subbed for sure. We daily vlog too, so loving this.
Aww, thank you! That's a lovely comment. And thanks for following, have done likewise and will certainly look forward to having a rummage through your vids, feet up, cuppa and a bag of Wotsits later😊
What a great vlog. Wishing you both well in your van life together xx
Thanks so much! 😊
Started full time vanlifw three months ago and absolutely love it. Enjoy every minute
Thankyou, you too 👍👍😃
First time watching your channel and just subscribed. Wishing you lots of happiness in your new life and looking forward to watching more.
Thank you so much!! 🚐😁❤️
Thanks for sharing your experience of starting van life with us and your memories too. BTW my BIL also keeps bees here in France. Occasionally we get free honey. 🙂
I'm guessing we're around the same age, so could identify with the childhood things and also the way our generation was brought up. In my case my Mum had mental health problems, so a lot of the time it was me and my Dad against the world. He was lovely too, but sadly died young.
I'm funny about things being tidy and clean and seeing how my Mum ended up (when she became ill she was no longer house proud), it has made me want things to be tidy. Now I have two kids of my own (teenagers) I often grumble about things being left on the floor etc... If they went out with their mates and left a mess everywhere I'd hit the roof!
Good luck with your ongoing adventures and look forward to seeing future video content...
Cheers,
John & Isa.
Hi John & Isa,
We're so glad you're enjoying watching 😊 Keeping the van clean is definitely a lot quicker than our house. Hopefully Will will still get enough of a 'cleaning fix'! Funny what shapes us growing up isn't it? Now things are settling down after our first week away we can start planning future trips, France being top of the list! 😁
@@gonkandmoody Yes cleaning a house with 4 human beings and a dog living in it can be a pain. LOL
Plus I work from home (lucky me).
Hope you make it to France. I'm no expert, but having seen a few other van life channels on here and from what I've seen on holidays, they are more camper van/camping friendly than over in the UK. Plus the Park for the Night app works here too!
Hi both, loving the content. We didn’t realise the d55 layout existed until you popped up on our recommended feed! We like it so much we’ve put a deposit on the v55 (Rapido) at Highbridge and collect it later this month. Very excited 😊
That's great! It's the perfect van (in our opinion). Hope you enjoy it as much as we do 😁🚐
We started 8 months of full time van life in October 2023 not knowing if we would like it. We are going to extend indefinitely now as we love it so much. 80% of our belongings were sold or given away and the remainder went into storage. You will love the freedom of going anywhere you want, and if you don't like where you are you can move relatively easily. We try not to let anything get us worried or down, and so far, life is better! Enjoy your new life, I am sure you will!!
Thanks very much for that positivity. I think we would both agree totally, albeit only being 2 weeks in ourselves. But so far, so brilliant! 👍 Thanks again and you too, enjoy 👍👍
Used our oven today in our new d55 seemed ok but did not notice the draw above getting warm. It could be you just need it looking at see if it needs something between the draw and oven.
Hi fellow D55er! Thanks for the comment 👍 I'll see if I can get the top drawer out, take a look and do some research on insulation materials. That would certainly be the simplest way forward before ripping everything out! 😄
Thanks for the frank convo on the loo solution. The earphones are a great idea
They really are reassuringly brilliant! 🙉😄
Is it Tyning Wood? xx
I remembered straight after that chat, pretty sure it's Penny's Wood. Where we were was just up the lane from our near death experience, on our 125's going either side of a Morris Minor. Summer of... 83?
Mate i can barely remember yesterday! But saying that. I was previously informed in the mists of time by a Gunter after crashing ( sliding randomly) on that bend it was Tynwood bend. But as you do i have Google mapped it and it may be a bit of both!!
I know what you mean Dan, some bits are clear as a bell and other times it's a hazy muddle. Age eh!? 😁 I think we were warned that it was just around the corner, but I just thought 'silly old buggers' and smiled politely..... Now who's the silly old bugger 😃
