Thanks for an honest review of the show, I think the problem is that they’ve over flooded the market, too many shows and festivals competing for the crowds and trying to outdo each other. The bigger channels are getting really clicky and bitchey too, you can easily tell who’s fallen out with who from the videos. Glad you two are just being yourselves and keeping it real. 👍
There are so many festivals out there that we lose track of their unique selling points. We've got too many to choose from that inevitably some will miss the mark for us. We've heard good things from like minded folk about a couple we could try next year.
Nice of you guys to be honest. Unfortunately, so much of the campervan industry and lifestyle has been diluted over the past few years with so many people wanting a piece of the pie. Loads of new converters, loads of new 'festivals' ....Perhaps festival is over used in many instances.😉.
But certainly a festival needs a certain amount of momentum behind it for it to not fall on its arse before its even begun. Having traded at lots of the vw festivals over the years, honestly only the big ones like CamperJam and Busfest were really worth the bother. Some of the others were nice to attend just because the venue was nice and the experience good.
But can you imagine paying for a day ticket for some of these events...20 minutes and you have walked around twice and are ready to go home.
But I suppose like most things the good ones will still be here in 10 years and we will have wasted a few weekends weeding out the ones that are not worth it.
At least you are both out using your van now😁.
Ed
Thanks Ed. There are alot to choose from which makes it really difficult to know which ones to attend. Thanks for your recommendations. We will have a look at those for next year. But, like you said, we had a nice weekend in our van.
Well this made my day, getting a shout out😊. Brilliant to meet you both and really enjoyed the talk.
I agree the show was very quite 👍
It was great to meet you, Tom 😊
Try vanlife festival next year it’s really good been going 3 years now recommend it if you like a busy but friendly festival
If you like smaller vanlife vibes or big picnic are good
Thank you. We'll have a look at them. Always good to get a recommendation. Do you go to any others?
Someone asked a few weeks ago what is a youtuber. My comment of a bunch of people who think they are importand because they have a few people who watch their videos they put on you tube. Please dont turn into the type of people you disliked at that show.
I think that applies to some TH-camrs. Others are simply video creators who like to share their experiences. We've met some really lovely people who create TH-cam videos. There will be no changing for us, don't you worry 😊
Morning
Morning. How is the van coming along?
@@pitched_up_wanderers rear windows went in yesterday so it now looks like a speed camera van too😂.
That's the best look 😉
Well done, nice, honest review. This is why the Vanlife Festival doesn't have a TH-cam Area.
That was one factor, but also, the rest was a bit flat and lacking the festival vibe.
Hi we were not far from you. Did say “hi” as you passed a couple times 😂
👋 hope you had a good weekend.
Lovely to meet you both. Shame you weren't in our field, you could have joined us.
I'm sure we'll see you again at another festival.😊
We're subscribed now, so we'll see you on your next outing😊
So good to meet you too. It would have been great to have joined you. Hopefully we will bump into you again soon....just need to find a different festival to try.
The last time I went to a camping gathering my stove disappeared….
Don’t think this is for me, but each to their own as they say.
Certainly at the money they charge, I wouldn’t even contemplate going to one of these events
They are definitely costly. Sorry to hear about your stove 😔
Hi first time ive seen one of your video's thank you for being honest about it i will be subbing
George
Welcome aboard, George. Thanks for joining us.
It was lovely to meet you both too 😊
Thanks for the shout-out 👍
Great to meet you 😀
Well done tell it like it is 👍👍
Cheers 👍
