Wow this hit hard. When I was about 13 (I’m 71 now) I stopped going to Church. Stopped believing in God. And my life went to pieces from that moment. It never occurred to me that rejecting God had anything to do with it. I’ll spare you the details but I was a terrible sinner. It was only a few months ago that I heard God knocking at my door & my mind opened up the door a tiny crack … and the grace of God was like a tsunami! I was overwhelmed and overcome and deeply sorry for all my sins. I went to confession (whew, a long confession) and then Communion. I’ve never been happier. All the things I wanted in life (and searched for in all the wrong places, as the song goes) are now mine. These are the important things: deep contentment & peace. The superficial things I thought were so important no longer matter. Praise be to God and I pray for anyone reading this to know that no matter how evil your sins or how long you’ve rejected God, He still loves you so much and wants you to let Him in. So let Him in.
Bishop Robert Baron. You are so loved, Gods love is evident in you. You are bringing His light and love into the darkness of an upside down world. God bless YOU!
I love this Gospel reading and this sermon. This Sunday when this Gospel was read, a person who I love showed up at church. I’ve been praying for his salvation for a few months and it was emotional seeing him there, knowing God answered my prayers.
Thank you for all you do, Bishop Barron. May your, and Pope Francis's message of love reverberate through our entire Catholic Church, and through all of mankind. Ora pro nobis🙏
Jesus said he did not come to judge but to seek and save what is lost. It is so easy to judge one another. But in the Kingdom of God the one who is appointed to judge FIRST AND FOREMOST died for sinners.
Will the good of the other. If ever there is a phrase that can get us back on track, it is this one. And forgive often. You don't have to get on someone else's crazy train but we can will the good of the other and we can forgive often.
❤️🙏🏼 I’m praying for you, so you trust that you’re going to ask for forgiveness to Jesus, who’s waiting for you, who has been waiting for this moment when you come back into relationship with Him I’m praying that you make an honest and humble confession full of confidence in God’s love for you and that you may experience God’s redeeming love, liberating mercy, and the grace of hope for a fresh new start, with Him.
Thank you for the word beautiful and inspiring; All Glory and Honor to Our Lord Jesus Christ & and to Our Lady the beautiful example of Love ; Come Holy Spirit Dwell in my Heart and come into to my house all the day of my life FIAT🩸
All he needs is a little spark of interest. Well I can testify that is true. Because of my mother’s illness and death from COVID I went to find him with all my hearth, trying to understand that she would be fine with him. And the lord showed up. Picked me up. I’m a renewed man because of him. The Holy Spirit came to me and I made me realise how much I had sinned and glorified myself. I was making like if he would not exist or like if he was a God in his retirement who once created and was now out of our lives…How wrong I was. He is continuously there and I can hear him when I have a good question to make to him. I’m not joking. He is truly there. Happy to share more if anybody is interested.
It reminds me of a passage from St. Faustina's diary: "Let no soul, even the most miserable, fall prey to doubt; for as long as one is alive, each one can become a great saint, so great is the power of God's grace." Keep praying for the lost because as long as they are alive, God's grace can find them and create a great saint out of them! All it takes is a spark, and God will do the rest!
Wow Bishop you killed me with that remark: ‘check out catholic social media comment boxes’. You’re so right, the logic of the world, not the biblical logic. We all need to keep on watching our hearts and minds.
Bishop, Likely we will never meet on this side of eternity. But I have always appreciated your teaching even though I am not Catholic. In fact, I have even used your teaching on the Lord's Prayer in a confirmation class. But Bishop, life has been hard for me recently. But in the difficulty, I see the work of God's hand. And God is working through you. I have never felt loved. I wrestle and struggle with being loved, with knowing or thinking I could be loved. But I am finally starting to get it. God actually loves us. He loves us freely and not just as a constraint of His nature. He was not constrained to love us into being, and yet here we are and we continue. Because of His continual willed love. Thank you Bishop!

Extraordinary! I’ll never forget the day I had my first real spark of interest as an adult. Christ fully entered my house and took over. Sadly, there were many times when I attempted to take my life back (as we sinners do) and re-enter the world, but with age comes wisdom and it’s happening less and less, thank God. God willed the truck driver who drove the table to the store into being out of love. God willed for all the people working at the factory that manufactured the truck that drove the table to the store into being out of love. God created all the materials all the natural resources of the world that led to something as mundane as a table. Bishop Barron is the LIVING SAINT of our times. Absolutely Brilliant interpretations of Scripture. I could listen to you for hours and never feel tired
Thank you, Bishop Barron. IMHO, you walk the talk every Sunday with your sermon. I've seen you on videos, after agreeing to debate athiests. You not only submit yourself to the pushback, you respond with the very love you preach. That, in my book, is walking the talk. And that walk the talk is a message which reverberates in a sinner to humble tears. Stumble and rise. The stumbling is the flesh. The rise is the grace of God's love which you preach each Sunday. Gratitude. Be well, Bishop Barron.

You give me hope. We are beginning a process in our Diocese called "Set Ablaze." I, along with my small men's group are taking the "Missionary Discipleship" part of it seriously. This message is exactly what is needed to heal the broken hearts and bring them back to the Faith. Thank you for this gift of insight.
Oh, thank GOD for this message…my heart is broken for my son, who’s been chasing everything but GOD! My foster daughters, who I poured my heart and soul out to give them the opportunity to see GOD! They’re both seemingly trapped by their family legacy of brokenness and addiction…thank you, Bishop for reminding me HIS love is greater…and has NO QUIT!!
CS Lewis wrote about this spark of goodness in his beautifully written allegorical work, The Great Divorce. The Angels work tirelessly in trying to save souls from eternal death . If there’s one wee spark under all those ashes, we’ll blow it till the whole pile is red and clear…. “Is there hope for her , Sir?" “Aye, there’s some. What she calls her love for her son has turned into a poor, prickly, astringent sort of thing. But there’s still a wee spark of something that’s not just herself in it. That might be blown into a flame.”
One of the best sermons from Bishop Barron, and I have heard most of them (and they are all great). What he says in this video can be taken into the world as we interact with those that God has put in our paths, perhaps for this very reason.

This message is exactly what is needed to heal the broken hearts and bring them back to the Faith. Thank you for this gift of insight.
Masterful! Thank you Bishop!
So powerful and inspiring homily, Bp. Barron. Glory and Praise to God!♥
Awesome and powerful homily, Thank You!
Love that basic truth!❣️
Hahaha basic yes but truth hahahahaha
Thank Bishop Barron!!!
I want God's grace to always flood into my house.
Thank you , Bishop Barron. I am only in existence because HE loves me. Come Lord Jesus come. Have mercy on me and flood my soul with your grace.
Beautiful!
No words to say how much I value these sermons. God bless you Your Lordship.
CS Lewis wrote about this spark of goodness in his beautifully written allegorical work, The Great Divorce. The Angels work tirelessly in trying to save souls from eternal death .
If there’s one wee spark under all those ashes, we’ll blow it till the whole pile is red and clear….
“Is there hope for her , Sir?"
“Aye, there’s some.
I love learning from you. 💖☘️☕👌
This is incredible. It reminds me of the prodigal son too. God bless you Bishop Barron. Please never stop teaching us ❤
