Straight to the point and simple. You might’ve just saved me a few buckaroos trying to diagnose the issue with my power steering, thank you so so much.
You are very welcome!
Super helpful. My 2007 is at 269k miles and nothing ever goes wrong, but I'm having this issue now. It helps to know, even if we don't fix it ourselves, what needs to happen and what the cost ought to be. Good on you, man. Thankfully my local Honda shop doesn't give me the runaround or overcharge but it's great to have this knowledge for small repairs.
Dude, thank you for the information, the entire fix cost me $15 including buying a new wrench
Glad I could help and thank you for watching the video
Good information...Good Video! Thank You!!! 2007 Honda Accord rocks!!! Owner of 4 cyl. here!
I appreciate the support thank you!!!
Honda accord owner myself (same generation as yours). TY for solving the same problem i had. Very detailed and straight to the point
I appreciate that man I really do thank you for the support!!!!
Man in the morning I’m going to follow this video and fix my2004 honda accord the steering wheel just became hard to turn when I arrived in my parking lot..and my Honda also is my beater that gets me to and from workwwwthanks for making this video …very very very helpful
The reason I watched this video is because my CR-V is making the same noise. I got the parts I need and I'm going to replace them now, hoping that fix it. Thank you for the video.
Thank you for this vid and it solved my prob with my 05Accord. Foaming and the noise gone!!
Thank yooouuuuu!!!!! This is exactly what my '04 Accord v6 was doing. Now I know.
Appreciate ya bro!! this helps for my 06 Accord! Literally under $ 15 at a local auto store
Thanks man! Worked like a charm, steerings back to normal
Thank you Sir your video is most informative, I have that stif feeling on cool mornings. I have never checked for bubbling, to know that there maybe a higher amount or air in the system. I still want to replace the full part!
Yes, AI worked in my favor. Exactly what I needed to see. Thanks for the video.
No worries I’m glad this helped you in the time of need!!!!
Good video brother. Enjoyed it. 2003 here. Same issues. But where is your leak? Even if it has a vacuum leak and you fixed that it doesn’t explain your fluid loss. I’ve been looking for my issue for years. I think I’ve finally found it. They have a pressure switch on the high pressure line behind the motor. Mine is leaking. Just like an oil pressure switch can do. I seen the buildup behind your motor when you looked down there. Might check that if you’re still low on fluid.
Thx for the video. Exactly whats going on with my 03 Honda and I got to fix this soon using your video. Peace Peace ✌
ty for video....well. at 945 if it NO leaking from the O rings why change them out?? yes i can see replacing them when you change out the pump or disconnect the lines for any reason, but why are they being replaced but no leaks, what hails? please give me some input ty sir
I’m having the same issues with the power steering system as well! But I am gonna fix it soon I hv the same OEM radio set up but what really caught my eye is that u also hv a touchscreen radio too wanted to see what brand u purchased cuz I definitely don’t wanna mess with the stock radio I wanna add something like urs !
Hey so thank you for watching the video! The radio I actually did make a separate video on this which is in this link right here. It will show you the headunit and how I installed it.

The BLACK o-ring is for the OUTLET side of the power steering pump. This o-ring replaces the one on the top part of the pump. That part is held in by two 10mm screws, at least on my 2001 Honda Accord 2.3L engine size. The *RED* o-ring is for the INLET side of power steering pump, which frankly I don't see the original pump has it, at least for my 2001 Honda Accord 2.3L engine. They always sell as a pair TO CHARGE YOU MORE.
I just ordered o rings. I checked on my way to work and saw lots of bubbling.
Last week when it was freeezing, I could barely turn my wheel one morning. I had to pull over and wait until it worked again.
Good job bro, Stay safe & healthy
Thank you bro. I appreciate the support!
That alternate full vertical hood option is often welcomed and may owners are unaware of the second notch/ position
Thank you very much!!!! Oh man, this helped me huuuuuge.
Glad it helped!
Niceeee...my son have a 08 accord... n same noise too...definitely gonna do tat soon thanks...awesome video👍👍👍
On a 2003 Honda Inspire the eps light comes on and stays on. The steering is very hard, what is the issue here? Is it the steering rack that needs to be changed?
I replaced the orings on my accord 2008 , saw before a lot of bubbles in the wheel oil thingy and now its clear but my wheel is still stiff on low speed, any idea what can be the issue?
Coolant... brake fluid? Huh?
Imagine his problem was actually him putting coolant instead. 😂
I’m having 1 problem with my 06 accord and it’s when I try to start my car for the first time in the day it takes 3 tries to turn on and once I drive it it’s fine have no problems and if I let the car sit for like 3-4 hours without driving it. It takes another 3 tries to turn it back on but if I leave it for 1 o2 hours parked without driving it turns on right away. I replaced the spark plugs and battery thinking it was that but didn’t fix the problem so my next thought is the alternator. But I’m go to get my car diagnosed just in case.
If no crank and only a few lights are coming on, ignition switch.
Is it OK to add power steering fluid to the Brake reservoir?
DO NOT do that! Those fluids are extremely different! If you do that, then you are looking at major repair costs
We’re can u buy the seals at ? Went to auto zone and they don’t sell them separately
I replaced the o rings and bled out the air, no bubbles anymore but my pump still whines so loud despite new o rings and no bubbles.
So that means you didn’t catch it in time and as a result you need a new steering pump.
Question: mine is leaking from the front End by the return hose like a dripping faucet. Could old rings be the main issue??
Yes replace both o rings on the steering pump and flush your power steering system. Replace with new genuine Honda power steering fluid and you’re good to go! 💯👍🏽
Man I have the same car almost mine is just the vp accord so the rear has drum breaks do you know of guys to ever do a disc break swap in the rear
It's easy bro just get the full disc brake kit from rockauto
I've had to twice. It's a pain in the ass but doable.
My car have same problem will try...any way how will get the parts...any way thanks keep it up 🎉.. my car is v6..
Hey
I chang my power steering pump and is whining and i chang the O rings , and is stil whine qhen i turn the steeeing wheel ....what can cause whine?
If the power steering pump is still whining after changing the O rings and replacing the fluid, that means that the power steering pump itself is permanently damaged and it would need to be replaced.
Hi was that the problem did the noise come back cause that is what is exactly going on with mine just been 5 days the noise an steering it gets tough sometimes but then whinny noise
thank you for video, I will going to try on my 03 Acura, thank you
I need to do the other side kuz fluid is esaping not statin in
Comment & Q? For these models and year of accords does anyone know if they are known to burn motor oil? Thank you!!
thought the orange seal was supposed to go on the high pressure send line not the return ?
Nope this is the way it suppose to go but no leaks or issues from the power steering reservoir or the pump
Muchos thank yous brotha!!!
I have this same problem, however the liquid is on upper level, it is flowing nicely inside the reservoir, not a single bubble anywhere. Still, this same noise is coming from the power steering pump. Maybe the pump itself is going bad?
Thank you soooo much for this video.
Thank you for watching and I’m glad that it helped out with the issue on your accord!!!
3:02 Definitely running low on coolant. ???
3:15 Low on brake fluid. ???
15:39 We are gonna change this line
really quick. ???
I have right hand drive but it came with eps and that giving me problem I don't where the module location if anyone kno plzz. Tell me
It should be in the same location just the opposite side at the left hand drive ones
Did the bubbles go away?
Sure did after pressurizing the system
this the same with the v6 models ?
Yes it’s the same but the pump is a little difference but in theory it’s the same concept.
Good video
Thank you and I appreciate the support!!!
Was it leaking and making a whining noises
No leaks just making whining noises for the most part
Did that fix it or you still had to replace the pump? I have the same issue on my 2011 Accord. Also is the serpentine belt color a sign that it’s worn? Thanks
Look for cracks
I appreciate it. I actually watched it for a while and fluid leaked right from the seam. Thanks so much.
My Honda accord 2004 comfort has EPS.
Thankssss!!!
Happy to help
Whats the name of the intro song?
So I’m not sure the name of it because my friend produced it.
Thank you
Hell yeah 👍
You should have everything you need at the ready, not walking around finding what you need. Time is of the essence, dude!
Thanks for the feedback
This guy...
You should never, ever, turn the steering wheel if the vehicle is not moving.
Coolant / break fluid . O ring's changed for nothing , they leak or they don't. TH-camrs knowing nothing what they talking about .
Maybe use a funnel and torque the bolts to spec instead of the cheap electric driver. Then bleed the system. Total rookie 👎
