DA2 lacked in level design and variety in gameplay, but the humour and dialogue was probably the best in the series, which says a lot since DA1 also had stellar dialogue and humour.
DA2 was carried by its characters and story(until act 3 anyway). Its astounding DAV somehow was a worse game. The party banter alone here is on such a higher level its insane. So was isabela in general...

I'd personally argue not, but this is not like Dark Souls where the second game is genuinely just bad. DA2 is damn close to DA1.
Flemeths character design in this game was SO good.
The one good thing that came out of Veilguard is making people appreciate DA2 and DAI.
