All of them are brilliant lol. If I had to pick 3..Revelation M.E. solo (Tribute). Tonight solo/outro solo. Randy's solo on Tribute after Suicide Solution.
Hey Dave that's one wicked tasty solo and you played it was some real attitude. I really love the rythmic attacks in the solo. I love the eerie mystical bark at the moon background. Very professional. Great job Cheaf.
I listened to the "isolated track" on YT and that ascending lick where you showed how people often use the shortcut version is definitely done the way you tabbed it out here on the studio recording. Can hear it clearly. And just fyi on the chorus part of that isolated track its totally mind boggling, totally not what I expected to hear. If you can translate that you're my hero...
Finally got this solo down...now just trying to get a take with no mistakes hahaha.. That descending to ascending love cl is much freaking fun to play. Like it feels so good when you land it fully...It feels like falling down and then up the stairs, then landing on all fours like my 🐈! Great lesson as always Dave, I hope you and your family have been doing good man, cheers!
Hello, I live in Portland and am interested in finding a guitar instructor. I wanted to know what you charge and your availability? Do you teach in person? I couldn't seem to get any of the other contact information to work so I thought that I would leave you a message here.
Yes!! Awesome Labor Day treat to dig our fingers into thanks PDX!! Hey may I make a REQUEST: 'One of These Nights', by The Eagles. Super melodic solo with clever string-skipping sequences. Rock on!
Oh yeah, that's a great one! I remember seeing the Eagles live on the second reunion tour and that was one of the guitar solo highlights - the crowd went nuts for it! :) I'll see if I can add it to the long queue of pending solos :)
Thanks bro, what you are hearing is actually a chorus effect with the "chorus out" set for a slight delay (~29ms). Therefore it acts kind of like a slap-back delay, but only the slap-back is chorused. I hope that makes sense. I usually double track the Randy solos, but wanted to do something different this time to try and recreate his solo :)
I feel you did a great job... My question would be... The isolated track you listen to was one of three more or less.. each of them are different... So really know right and wrongs on the variations.. I thought you did a great job
When you hit like before you've even watched the video with complete confidence because you know it will be spot on!
My kinda rocker! A Charvel shirt-wearin, Martini-guitar-playin, Randy Rhoads fan! Awesome playing and thanks for the lesson!!!!
Let me know what your favorite Randy Rhoads solo is! :)
Hard to choose, but I love his live Children of the Grave solo off of Tribute

Over the mountain or flying high again
Both solos in QR's Killer Girls
Mr Crowley definitely
Great lesson. I need to learn this for friendly jam and your approach is spot on

What a great guitar
Dude, you are the best! I love your lessons. I'd suggest Good enough and i"ll wait by van halen for solo lessons. Thank you 🤘🇧🇷
Dave that was excellent. Btw do I hear a slapback echo on the lead tone of your performance? Or did you doubletrack?

Could you revisit the song "Bang Your Head" and show us the main and outro solos? Such a great tune. Thanks
You’re the man !
Great video bro! Can U tell.me how U add this amazing background?
Estoy aprendiendo este solo👍
Gracias por poner la tab
I’ve been scouring TH-cam for a good lesson on how to play the solo to Van Halen’s 5150. No joy. Could you please show us this one?
