You awesome bruh !! It really makes a difference when you’re looking at a tab from looking at the tab but you’re explaining each note and how to do it. Thats why I’ve suscribed to your channel
First! Effects are a science and an art in and of themselves. I've been getting back into pedals after having the same 4 for 23 years and have doubled my collection in the last 6 months.
You know you made us happy with every video you share. What I'm thinking is that you might be happy as well, since you are doing something that clearly you enjoy and I'm sure you are proud of.
Love the guitar, Dave! Rainbow had planned on re-opening their showroom sometime this summer, but with the Covid variant, not sure if that will be pushed out. Can't wait for them to re-open as I want to visit them. Those custom Suhr's they have are nice! There is a metallic green one that I've had my eye on.
Hey Bill! I came SO CLOSE to buying that green one instead, but then decided that since I already have a few green guitars, I should go for the yellow. I did make one modification to it... I changed the pickup. They come with the Suhr DSH pickup (not the DSH+, but the regular DSH), which is a much more moderate output pickup. I was talking to Scott over there and he said that when he ordered the guitars, he was inspired by George Lynch, since Lynch doesn't use high output pickups. However, I wasn't a big fan of the standard DSH for what I was going for. I don't think the standard DSH is a bad pickup by any means, but I wanted something louder so I went all the way and replaced it with the Suhr Aldrich (their hottest). I also went with pure white (instead of zebra) because I think it just pops out more on these guitars. One more note... I could have gone with the SSH+ as another alternative, as I think those are fantastic pickups too.. but again, I decided to go with the highest output for this one. I hope all of that makes sense :)
Dave you are a bad ass player, I pretty much played it like this but with all the effects and over dubs was still wondering and always over played the low notes. Awesome bro god bless. By the way I think this sounds as good if not cleaner than the album. Dude that's not fair. Lol
I recall you mentioned in one of your videos you had to sell one of your guitars to get another one is this it? If so beautiful yellow Suhr . Another awesome solo lesson. ROCK ON BRO! 🎸
@@PDXguitarfreak I just replaced the neck on my Strat with a Roasted maple neck with jumbo frets from Fender made in Mexico. Wish I could send u a picture to see it. I'm really digging it.
I found you from your Kid Charlemagne video. Now I'm spoiled because I can't stand anyone else: they're playing stuff wrong, multiple ways in the same video, blazing through it, not using the band's tuning, hard-to-read or no tabs, etc. Which is to say 1) THANK YOU and 2) please do November Rain's 3 solos next :)
Hey thank you very much for the kinds words. I greatly appreciate it and glad you enjoy my stuff :) It's funny you bring up GNR because I saw them in concert last night! I will take it under consideration, but the list is looong :)
Omg your pinkie in the intro. It's like parnell to the guitar. It's like when you point your pinkie when a rich English Princess drinks their tea, except your pinkie is completely broken and dislocated
Please please please can you do Queen of the deep by UFO? Youre the best at tabbing solos on youtube and there is absolutely no kind of lessons and or tabs on that song at all
Great lesson as always Dave, but dude that guitar!! Which one did the wifey make you sell this time? Lol jk, our wives have that in common for sure! Shred on brother and thank you!
LOL hey Andy thanks! I have been playing quite a bit of musical chairs lately with it all.. sell... buy... sell... buy... I'm losing track LOL. I think I'm going to stick with what I have now... for now.. :)
Nobody ever talks about the obvious effects in this song thank you
Shot through the heart and you’re to blame! You got some rad solo game!
LOL thanks Mark 😁🎸
