There are a lot that do. But some don’t fully understand the actual value of his music. Flawless, expressive, nuanced, creative, experimental. When you really get the kind of talent Randy had and exactly how innovative and creative the stuff he was doing was, from an actual music theory standpoint… it’s absurd. The guy was a musical powerhouse way ahead of his time. He was so much more than a metal guitarist. He was a full blown composer.
When the bassist picks this song next for the setlist...

2:20 is intense. That's actually my favorite part of the solo. Randy just shredded pentatonic lightning fast and it's just badass. Need to work on my picking hand though, for sure.

Even as a no guitar player. Watching the tabs and keeping up with all of its nuances and symbols you’ve never seen was absolutely fun. I’m a music lover with a little bit of music theory knowledge.

Randy’s solos and runs showcase his classical training. I’ve chipped away at this song for years but never got some of the complexities that your post very clearly illustrates. Thank you!
