gigginox is one of my top most frustrating monsters, glad you made a guide for it, lot of great tips. probably going to try some other weapons, fighting it with lance sucks lmao
I take time today to thank you for all your guides, you helped so many hunters, including myself (quite a lot xd) ! Please continue to make videos, we're waiting for your content mate !!
Hey, thanks, I appreciate it 🙂 This one took a while because I kept getting held up by a few things, so, hopefully the next one gets finished sooner lol
Hey! Thank you I really appreciate that. I do kinda hope my videos have some appeal even with some people who have never played and may never play the games 😄 Thanks for watching 🙂
you're so cool bruh I've been subscribing you since pandemic that time i was playing mhfu and you really help me in it especially with that last vq with the rajang and now im playing mhp3rd and this will help me again thank you so much
😊😊 Yeah I was finishing it up and I'm like "Oh, this is 30 whole minutes..." lmao I think it's kinda neat that I can make videos this long that I feel like are still full of useful stuff and/or entertaining things. Going into more depth about material acquisition and armor skills definitely makes things a bit longer, but I'm pretty happy with how it's going 🙂 I'm glad you liked it, thanks for watching!
@@HeadHunter455 i defeated my first jhen mohran today! I just looked for its elemental weakness and hope for the best. Tbh it's kinda easy compared to lao shan and shen gaoren.
Hey, great job! Keep it up 🙂 Yeah, Lao and Shen were, like, prototypes for the ideas that would go on to make much better encounters with the Mohran's and some others.
3U was my first MH game, and when I played the others, I was confused that Khezu was the staple, not this guy. As much as I suffered fighting this guy in G-rank (and oh boy suffer I did) I hope he comes back someday even though it's unlikely.
Nice video , glad to see you post content. Question, should i pick wild hearts on 2024,or is it not worth it(i was looking to get like a dragon ishin , but isaw they were the same price and i was wondering what to do)
Hey, thanks! Wild Hearts is a good game honestly, but... it has some really awful Optimization issues. Now that I have a better computer I'm considering streaming a playthrough, but if you do pick it up, be prepared to refund it if your pc isn't really good tbh. It's the worst part of the game, but otherwise it's a really cool concept and a fun spin on the MH formula. They also priced it at $70 which is absolutely absurd given how much is on offer compared to other games like it, but, that's a discussion for another time lol I can't speak for Ishin, but Wild Hearts is $25 (usd) right now on steam, for what it's worth. Like A Dragon: Ishin is ~$24 (usd) at humble bundle (redeems on steam) So, it's really up to you. I'd say give Wild Hearts a shot if you want an interesting MH-like game, but be prepared for performance issues, and to refund it if it's not managable. It wasn't for me, given what kind of game it is, but yeah.
Well, I'm not far enough to know for sure, but if you want a quick and easy answer, just use the baggi set. As for greatswords, I have a spreadsheet and there is a chart on gamefaqs that details the weapons that are available throughout the game. Here's mine, the link to where I got the info is there as well: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1V0XJT9B8cBbApcbom6ImRamK7XVy8ZDAlXlTwDpOtn4/htmlview#gid=1658126760
I've streamed and played through rise and sunbreak. The old games are my niche at the moment. Less people are covering this game than the newer ones. I'll be moving on to them later, and ideally other games eventually.
great video! really thorough coverage of all the nuances and features that make this my favourite monster. sns and bow are my preferred weapons to use against it, but actually I don't find lance or greatsword to be too bad (provided you're using guard up with the former-I'm not sure if it's available at a point before the first gigginox encounter, though)
Gigginox was the first time I felt walled in P3rd. Tough monster, but I like it more than Khezu; it's more interesting. I actually think Lance and Gunlance work well against it, but you gotta move more than usual.
Yeah! Gigginox surprised me going through this for the video, he is no slouch that's for damn sure. I didn't try lance or gunlance very much but my initial vibe was that I'd much rather just be using anything else. I'm not in it to force something to work, I'm trying to find something that's a good match up and reasonable to recommend to someone.
@@HeadHunter455 Makes sense from a tuorial perspectiv, yep! I just tend to think in reverse and try to figure out how to optimize the weapons I like towards the matchup haha.
Hey you should've seen me when I was first figuring this fight out. I tried lance (or maybe it was gunlance can't remember) first and it didn't feel good at all Then I went to switch axe on a suggestion, and it still felt awful until I tried the crazy strat of just focusing entirely on his weak spot 😅😅 Sometimes the simple answer is the right one 😌
Haha, well Monster Hunter is designed as a co-operative game, it can be more enjoyable that way 🙂 I hope you have a good time with it 😄 Just practice a bit, try and do what I'm doing here, try and look for the things I'm looking for. Hopefully the advice in my video makes sense 😅 Good luck!
Gigginox is much easier with ranged weapons, although not necessarily faster. Use fire bullets (or water for subspecies) on the head and tail, doesn't matter which is which because elemental hitzones don't change when enraged
HECK giggi!!!! This guy always gives me a lot of trouble with the slower weapons and he was absolutely miserable with long sword the first time i fought him. Excellent guide as always! Seeing you switch axe against him made me realize just how little i understood how to get to his belly safely. That double bite attack is brutal ETA: that baggi sleep spam sure was monster hunter 🫠
Yeah I really feel that, I think switch axe in particular does a pretty great job against gigginox, but anything faster than the lances and greatsword is probably a good idea 🤧 This fight really did give me some trouble, but I'm glad I figured it out eventually. I definitely understand how it can be frustrating, hopefully this video helps! I've seen a lot or people have trouble with gigginox and nibbelsnarf, so I hope I can help. Lmao yeah the baggi part was pretty funny 😅😅
Well, Switch Axe works really well, if you can follow what I'm doing in the video. If you can do more or less what I'm doing with another weapon it should work fine too, SNS and DBs should be okay. Maybe LS too.
Hunter: who's putting all this pink slime shit all over this place??

Jhen Mohran will be interesting, it's more or less a scripted fight, so, hopefully I can explain it well enough 😅

Hypnocatrice too, among others.
Last supper got me like💀

I still haven't covered "Monster Hunter" in MHFU, but I'd like to eventually, along with The Last Supper.
