I said Attack Down (Small) reduces your damage by 10, but it's actually 5, not that it's terribly useful information anyways since you're going to get rid of it, but eh. For the part at 13:53, this is the part in my Barioth Video where I talk about what happened, if you're curious: th-cam.com/video/HEXbmP9qjgA/w-d-xo.html
I said it once and I will say it again: Nargacuga is my all time favorite monster, fighting him for the first time in World was the main reason why I wanted to play the Portable series and get a feel for the older games. Not to mention it always gave me an excuse to dodge better, along with his weapons being good for builds and his armor just being some nice evade stuff (from either old or new gen games). I hope well in the future he makes his return in Wilds.
I was a bit late when it comes to Nargacuga, my main experience with him was in MHGen and World, and even then it wasn't terribly in depth. Making these guide videos has been fantastic for me, because I get a chance to *really* look into these fights and figure them out. Something that I don't normally do in my own casual play. It's a lot of fun 😄 I hope I covered Narga sufficiently here for you 😁 I really like the fight in p3rd, with a Switch axe at least. It feels so good to roll through every attack and just smack the crap out of him 😅😅
I've always wondered how in every video game ever with bosses there's some sort of boss guide for each except the game that would benefit the most shown here >:/, but then you showed up :D
At least when it comes to being recorded with a microphone, you have the EXACT same voice as me, it is the weirdest thing. I used to record training videos when I was a TA in college and a consultant as my first job, and watching your videos feels exactly like when I used to listen to my own recordings.

Ah marrow and medulla :') So so so many cuga and green cuga have fallen before me because I just was having the WORST luck, and I really do like his gear--both as is and in mixsets. A lot of the weapons are really solid in this game too! At least he's a fun fight Glad you introduce the idea of trying to roll through attacks here, too. It's a really handy skill to have--p3rd cuga definitely is the one who taught it to me best also sick finish
@Felixicity Thanks! 😁 Yeah, rolling through attacks isn't too bad if you know what to look for, I feel like it can be pretty daunting, but I think it's super useful against Narga 😌 Thanks for watching 🙂
I was thinking, I saw another channel that used on-screen messages, they had a little like, those Stamina bar things when you climb in Zelda the Switch games, that stamina bar would indicate how long a message is on display for, that helps a lot when reading the messages, as you can gauge how fast you want to read them to get everything. Maybe you could figure out something similar. Usually they are in the middle of the screen just above where the message is. Oh I just noticed you do have one of those on one of the frames.
@NoraNoita Maybe, I know what you mean, I could probably figure that out, wouldn't hurt. I do something similar if I have text on screen, like during the evasion part, to give time to pause and read. The way I'm doing it now is just reading it out in my head, in the way I would say it out loud. So far I think it's been working. We'll see.
am i the only one that thinks it makes more sense for narga to be weakest to fire than thunder? great video regardless, i never even knew about the whole sonic bomb thing and ive been playing these games for a while, i wonder if this also works in later games like World and Rise
@@nikoliza1010 Yep, the sonic bomb thing is part of Nargacuga's original design, same with how pitfall traps work (or dont) against him, so it should be the case for almost every version of him. Maybe Lucent is different but I'm not sure.

Heey, thanks for the comment! Y'know, some of my viewers share stuff every now and then in my discord server, other people's videos and stuff like that. It's nice being made aware of all what's going on lol This is kinda funny, but I came across your channel by searching for the word "pierce" because I remembered someone mentioned that pierce shots in p3rd got nerfed and I wanted to find the specifics for my upcoming Uragaan video, since the uragaan gunner set gives Pierce Up. That's when I came across someone sharing your video towards the end of December, of you fighting Deviljho with a pierce bowgun, it wasn't what I was looking for but I figured I'd watch it. It was this one: th-cam.com/video/K2UIwnbLuQA/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared I really liked it! and "Tri-tips" is an awesome name for that series haha. I also appreciate you not using talismans for your sets. I personally won't be recommending any talismans for my p3rd series because of the RNG involved, but I'll try and cover them eventually. I think making sure that anyone watching can practically take your items and equipment and follow your advice to have a good time is important, too many times I've seen guides be like "You need a talisman with at least +4 expert, but that shouldn't be too hard to get" etc. The most I'd say is using talismans for decoration slots, as that's at least a little easier to get, but I digress. I think you've got a lot of great knowledge about Tri, and, while I haven't looked for that type of content in particular just yet, I think there's a space for that kind of content not really being filled. I got to where I am now, with the pacing, the video structure, editing tricks, voice over, all of that over the course of maybe like 8 years or so, and I got a lot of other miscellaneous/audio skills that probably help over the course of maybe 12 or so years lol, it all takes time, and if you have the time and the interest/desire, maybe consider planning out a video series and trying to iterate on each new upload, you know? That's how I got here. I subscribed to you because I wanted to keep an eye on your channel 😉 and if I ever cover tri or 3u in any way, I'd likely go to your channel for advice on things that I don't know about, which is a lot 😅 and I'd probably share your stuff to anyone asking for Tri advice in particular. Consistency is key, I've found the most success in just following the planned out series that I've made, helping people get through the key and urgent quests. In that deviljho video you made, doing post-commentary like that with drawing on the screen and such is honestly a pretty good way to present it, I hadn't watched the whole thing, but the way you explained avoiding the "World Sweeper" was excellent, and if that works for other iterations of him I'll probably keep it in mind when I get to him in p3rd. I might recommend you write a script or at least bullet points on things to talk about as you do post-commentary if you do it all live, just so you don't forget anything, but yeah. That video kind of made me want to give Tri another... Try 😁 because I'll be honest, I had a very very rough time in the village quests, and, well, if there was some sort of progression guide or somesuch I could follow, similar to what I do, for Tri, maybe I'd consider trying it again, though I feel like playing in multiplayer would be a much more enjoyable experience in general 🤧 tl;dr keep up the good work! 😄 sorry for the wall of text 😅💦
