    I went threw the same thing , started at the bottom with a degree... But ! It really helped me by doing that and did not take me long to get to were I wanted to be In Canada, something I could not do In my old Country, I have no regrets at all, even when I worked at low paying jobs I survived just fine , In fact I met some of my best friends at these low paying jobs that I have to day, great people, a Great Country...I know now why Canadians are so proud... and they should be , we are all equal which I love, your not were I came from...God Bless Canada. This Is were I will Die , and I would die to defend this Great Country any time I had to..Thx for the vid...And YES it was worth the struggle. I struggled for 25 year's In my old Country and got no were, I struggled for 4 year's In Canada and I have everything I have ever wanted...It's not perfect..No Country Is, But I have come as close to It...and that Is fine by me.

    Igor is as truthful as one gets. I first landed in Canada back in 2008 after having spent 4 yrs prior to waiting for my PR application approval. I have a BSc Business from the UK and over 15 solid years of corporate experience back in SE Asia. My last job was a Senior Manager position but I had to literally start from ground zero when I began to search for my first job(one can't really apply for jobs while you are back in your home country). It wasn't pretty but I took it to the chin. I once had a Director in my previous workplace only had Grade 12 and was a wash bay attendant...you go figure lol! To cut long story short, it is not what you know but who you know. One has to lower(go rock-bottom) your expectations and keep grinding and eventually you will make it...on your own merit. I may be a Canadian citizen now but life is bittersweet. And remember this, being a visible-minority is a disadvantage like it or not - but don't let that deter you! All the best!

      There is also this thing called "Canadian Experience" that companies in canada have which is just one more excuse that they've been using for years now to exploit people as cheap semi-slavery labor force and to isolate people even more, to increase even more the division among immigrants. What they do not realize is that by doing this they only increase the incentive for people to becoming illegal immigrants even more, since this whole system makes it way harder for people to follow the rules "legally". I feel so sad that talented and good-willed immigrants have to deal with stuff like this. Canada is not so "open and friendly" as they say. They should learn a lesson or two from their bigger neighbor USA. USA is still the most open and friendly place on earth, they really have a good spirit there, and that spirit attracts people of the same kind to their country. Canada loses with all of this.
      Authorities, take notes. Ruling by force will never work. Exactly because of this we also see lots of native born and raised canadians migrating down to USA, they feel isolated by the bureaucracy of their own country. This serves no one.

    • @FeelingShred
      @FeelingShred 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your report, it's very important because it teaches us that canadians - even when you follow all the rules and do everything within the limits of the "law" - they are still complaining about you. One of the most racist and xenophobic countries on earth right now. Very different mindset than USA, that's why USA is still number 1.

    You asked what our stories are. My story, Although I am not in Canada yet, is about emigrating from South Africa to Canada starting as an international student, getting Canadian work experience, drivers license, friends, cars, and eventually a couple of houses or apartments and rent them out. I'll work as hard as required of me to achieve this. I'll be escaping the corruption, poverty, racial inequality and low quality of life that's prevalent in South Africa. It's not that each of these things happened to me personally, but it's the effects of all of it adding up over 19 years that makes me want to leave here with a desperate heart. Your story is very motivational and I'm so glad I found your channel to make my move and the adjustment much easier. Your positive attitude is contagious! Keep doing what you're doing Igor ❤️👍🏻

    I'm Canadian, I don't actually agree about being fake when you say "sorry" when bumping into someone, I think most of us actually are concerned about bumping into another person and are genuine when saying "sorry." I guess people just assume it's being fake because they find it different than what they are used to and think it must be fake because it's strange to them but I'd say no from my experience growing up in this culture. I also hold doors for others and they do for me and I am pleased to do it, makes me happy to have good feelings between myself and other Canadians! Another thing that is common is saying "excuse me/pardon me" when passing directly in front of someone as they are standing in front of a counter, shelf, or something/someone, etc. It's just a small gesture of showing respect but it's the small gestures that support a polite and pleasant environment for everyone. I even had a young, rebellious-looking teenager pass in front of me one time as I was standing at a shelf in a store and I thought he would forego this nicety and THEN I HEARD HIM WHISPER "sorry!" as he walked away, so even he couldn't completely stop himself! haha ;)
    P.S. My advice to immigrants, visa students, etc. is this... Yes, enjoy meeting other people from the same community BUT DO MIX WITH ALL CANADIANS, DON'T RESTRICT YOURSELF TO JUST YOUR GROUP! This is a big part of what leads to feelings of loneliness and separation and it also works against the benefits of even moving to a new country. You can't possibly enjoy the country and all it has to offer if you try to live a restricted existence and cut off other people. You will find that you will integrate yourself into the country and become much happier if you are open to meeting and talking to everyone.

      If you listen again, you'll understand the context in which he says people in Canada are being fake. I think he was spot on there.

    No, Canada is not for you if you want to make money. As a Canadian I can tell you we are heavily taxed to pay for all the services and benefits that we receive. Trouble is it is a horizontal system, were the government taxes the richest people to keep them within a certain living standard. If you "make" 80K/year after taxes you are only making about 2 to 2,5 times as much as someone working for the minimum wage. We do not get "free healthcare" as many Americans think, we pay for it through heavy taxation.

      @DS-jh4qk 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can u tell me can u save money

    • @DD-gz9ut
      @DD-gz9ut 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DS-jh4qk You can if you live a frugal life. However, most people choose to have the latest phone, bigger house, bigger car etc. Some Canadians live heavily indebted as a result, others live paycheck to paycheck. It depends on how you manage spending/saving your income.
      For example:
      1- James making the minimum wage in Ontario (14/h pre tax) - makes about $2.000/month (net).
      2 - Corey making $60.000/year pre tax (which is a good salary here). Actually makes about $3.800/month (net). So Corey is only 1,9 times richer than James.
      With a minimum wage in this range, you can expect housing, food, transportation, entertainment etc to be more expensive than in other countries. But the advantage of this horizontal system is that both James and Corey can afford to eat at the same restaurants, buy the same kind of services, roughly afford the same kind of entertainment etc....
      So James is not really interested in stealing anything from Corey, he can simply go to work and afford almost the same kind of lifestyle.

Overall do you regret about moving to Canada? What about if you don’t have family, have no support, don’t have car drive experience? Im in a big doubt now... The most thing that bothers me is loneliness and poverty.

      Moving to another country is a HUGE step in everyones life for sure!! And to be honest everything is life have pros and cons. But, this is how i see it: I just breakdown all the pros and cons, along with my goals in life. i moved to Canada without having any family here. It was just me and 3 other friends. I came here without knowing how to cook, how to drive, and literally i was even afraid of speaking another language. But i have something 200% clear, I wanted to built a good life for myself and my future family. Once you're here, you will overcome every struggle, believe me. Its been almost 3 year of me living here, I marry the loved of my life and his family is the best family i could ever find here, and I DRIVE !!! lol We have been designed to take risks. Hope this helped!!

You're right Igor, politics is a damn thing if run by damn persons making promises that sooner or later after taking their seats transforms into someone I haven't imagine them being like that.. I trusted and have learned enough, politicians will always be politicians..thanks for all these videos man.. For me it's worth it to immigrate to Canada from Japan.
    First I am an artist so I can work in Japan and in Canada.
    Second Canadian banks have high interest rate. In Japan
    interest rate is 0% while in Canada 2.8% (it depends on the bank).
    I can get enough interest to pay for the apartment.
    Third health card is good. I had heart attack this summer. I had
    anjiogram and spent one night at ICU and for a week regular room.
    but I had to pay nothing.

    The banks do not allow you to rent your mortgaged home here. Its usually in the fine print. However its rarely enforced as long as they get paid. The banks only care about the money flow. Without this rule everyone with a house would be landlords.

    Of course a women with a better job than her man makes more money .
    If you divorce in Canada everything is split 50/50. The person who makes the most money will pay monthly support to the other after a divorce be it the man or woman..
    Also the law applies even if you do not marry but live together, the separation will be treated just like a marriage divorce under the law.
