Bug Killer is a kinda nice alternative since you can get some raw materials while having to do the Frontier Flop for the encoded stuff. You get Antimony, Ruthenium and Tellurium (all highest grade) from the cargo racks and the beacons give Adaptive Encryptors Capture (g5), Atypical Encryption Archives (g4), Cracked Industrial Firmware (g3) and Modified Consumer Firmware (g2). You get way more of the Adaptive and Atypical than the others so the grade 5 and 4 fill up rather quickly.
I visited that site just recently and encountered 2 Thargoid Interceptors. First one came and scanned me then moved on. Shortly after, another came (different type) and scanned the site and myself then moved on as well. It was scary but exciting at same time (first Thargoid encounter ever). Thought I was looking at a rebuy for sure.
Yeah, they are pretty cool aren't they? If you look close in the video you'll see that the same happened and the second one came from the SRV site near by.
As much as I like E:D, the way materials have been implemented is spectacularly awful, among a few other features as well. Also, it's good to have you back; your videos have always been helpful.
As of this post if playing EDO client do the following to farm. exit ship in SRV. gather loot. log out to DESKTOP. restart game. you should load back in game at the site in your srv with new loot avail. exiting to main menu or flying around did NOT respawn loot.
Another cool material top up vid, Ex. With this new content from your good self, plus your ‘big farm’ vids we now have everything covered. I’ll put a cheeky request in for a vid that wraps these altogether, one day ;-).
They show up almost every instance log other than the first. They are about 50/50 on the first. Harmless unless you have the occupied escape pod or a Thargoid or Guardian item in your cargo hold.
Did everything in the video, but it won't show locations in the nav panel. Any idea why ? I dss the planet and D scanned the system. Maybe a patch changed the location, or way to find it ?
If you get to the SRV before the thargoid you can find an occupied escape pod. I assume it's the person who made the logs, since he was the one who was in the SRV
Fairly certain this “bug killer” dude was the guy smashing Chloe Sedesi behind Palin’s back. Don’t know what she saw in this guy. What a hot head. They always go for the assholes. Anyone find any thargoid sensor fragments around his ship? No? Huh...
any good alternatives to the high grade emissions quit game log in supercruise collect quit game log in supercruise collect method of getting manufactured materials?
Well you can not do that and go find another one, that's the only other way to gather from HGEs. You can also gather the materials from combat but like at a rate of 1 random material for every say 5-10 ships you destroy. Welcome to material gathering in Elite.
Hmm, well not always as I was not only parked at the site when I made this video but I also shot at the Interceptor with my SRV turret and it just flew away.
Something to note about the site post Odyssey update: You can use the maverick suit to open the cargo racks to gain 6 extra materials per rack, and then destroy the empty ones with your srv for one extra piece per rack.
Yes and no - I don't know of any comms beacons that have been discovered out there so you'll have to use the old/hard method of scanning planetary bases or ships. For raw there aren't any crystal shards known so you'd need to just use standard surface prospecting like my recent video on Selenium. It is on my list to make some Colonia farming videos, just not a lot out there I'm afraid. As you can be back in the bubble instantly with the Sidewinder-rebuy method, then 60 hours to ship your ship(s) if you aren't playing every day you could ship them back, farm a lot in the bubble then fly back out there. You can make it in 90-120 minutes in something with a 70+ LY range.
@@Exigeous I stayed in colonia after distant worlds. Easy engineers being really close to each other. Getting a whole fleet together. But getting the materials for the fleet is something else. Have it all back at the bubble as well
@@Exigeous SRVs don't carry 2. There's an occupied escape pod at the SRV site. The last log at the 'conda says he's taking off in his srv to avoid the Thargoid.
Yeah, but I remember there was an additional log that was cut off that made it clear he had died. I'll have to look it back up as I could be wrong but I'd swear I remember hearing that log as it was pretty sad.
@@Exigeous it's true bro. I have some system chats with you talking toxic shit. The people you fly with seem to bring it out in you. You are way better than that. Don't let the shin shit mess up a good thing for you.
HAHAHA, ah I suppose some forget it's a video game and talking shit is sometimes part of it. "It's one of the small bits of lore in a game with only small bits of lore". Savage.

" The Frontier flop" love it 😂
I figured it was time we had a term for the bullshit we have to use to play this game ;-)

Yep, just not nearly as fast as using the Jameson site if you just need data but if you need a bit of both sure thing.

"spectacularly awful" - yep, that pretty much sums it up.
Spectacularly Awful seems to be what FDev have written on the canteen wall to motivate staff...
Holy crap, man. Have you been making videos for 7 months, and forgetting to set them public or what?
Glad to see all the content ^_^7
Nope, just started back a few weeks ago. I'm just very obsessive about what I'm into.

You're most welcome - and I sort of have those in my series on engineering and the new series on ship buids.
Interesting site, will check it out, see if I can get to encounter a Thargoid Interceptor up close and personal.
