I’ve loved this game for years. The unfortunate part is none of my friends like it so I don’t enjoy playing it as much. The In game voice comma are sooo cool with the filter they have. Such a fun game with friends.

I invested in some ships for Star Citizen a few years back so my grandchildren can maybe play it when it finally leaves Alpha and is actually playable. I'm glad I have Elite Dangerous, which is 100% awesome and staffed by far fewer devs. Good times!
The only successful Chris Roberts game that didn't need a director or publisher to keep him on track and actually deliver a successful product was probably the original Wing Commander.
Either other game he either didn't directly work on (such as Wing Commander 2) or he needed oversight to actually deliver a game (such as Wing Commander 3,4) or he actually needed to be bought out and ousted to actually deliver (such as Freelancer).

@@doommaker4000 i love freelancer a lot, but he got forced to release it in an "unfinished" state because he was massively over budget and featurecreeping the game

David Anderson you just press a button in the game for free look. Default, bind is middle mouse.

I’ve only played solo.... damn I need some people to play with after watching this. Also, VR is the best way to play this. Once you can see it all in 3D, you just feel so small...

He did another years before this but it just has a couple thousand views so it's not very popular. I so want him to play this game more.
When you went spinning out of control you joined the SLF club eventually flying the little ships you will end up kareening off into space fighting a flat spin and hoping you can regain control before they kill your frisbee.

for the record - there are over 400 billion star systems in the game universe, as close to a 1:1 scale perpetual simulation of the Milky Way

Great piloting btw, A cool visual thing you can do around ringed planets is move out of mass lock then turn so your parallel with the asteroids then engage your FSD, you'll get a real sensation of acceleration & it looks awesome :D

Elite dangerous sound design is top notch, along with the gameplay itself and everything that goes on in the background.
Fighting in the rings of a gas giant. Badass.
You are free to explore all of the 300 billion star systems inside the Milky Way. It is made 1 to 1 scale. You can’t possible visit al the stars in this game, it is so wide. It is probably the largest game worlds in the gaming industry. And with and full economy system, with powerplay and factions fighting with each other, trading, exploration where every planet you explore and map has your name stamped on it for other players to see. Combat really complicated and deep, just like ship custumisation, with every module having diffrent perks and negatives. And even than there is more to this game, it has it flaws but it is the most unique experience to date and has to experienced at least once.
Amazing intro. The game looks incredible ... Would definitely watch more videos of it.

Playing in VR makes a big difference, especially in combat. Better than star citizen simply by virtue of it being finished. Cool vid Drewski o7

Love how you still have the attitude like in arma 3, going up against the smaller ship/lower combat rank npcs all “engaging...I’m on his tail...tango down”. and here’s me in my corvette able to take down an elite anaconda like a pressure washer through tissue paper and tanking damage like the enemy’s using BB guns and I’m in an actual tank...makes me wish I had friends...and they played elite on pc regularly.

The VR setup for this game is pretty awesome. Really easy to get motion sick if you're not used to VR, though.

Every time I play Elite there is a war inside me... Between the gamer that drools over the sound design of that game and the shear glory of it, and the nerd that just screams 'THERE IS NO SOUND IN SPACE!' endlessly every fight.
The nerd would know the ingame lore that the sound comes from speakers in the cockpit 😊
@@shuriken2505 The cockpit had pre-made sounds for alien moans and engines, loaded and ready to go when we first got hyperdicted? Don't fall for the space lies.

One thing I learned from my bounty hunting days was to lock onto the power plant. Leaves larger ships dead in space and easy pickins

The game is super fun and has a lot of depth and complexity, and it does not hold your hand what so ever.
Bro if you get the game, try learning flight assist off, it's hard but it's way more fun

Damn I wish I had wing mates like this. Anytime I try to get my buds to play. They have like a meltdown over the mechanics and functions of the game. Sucks trying to mine my millions while fighting 4 pirates by myself.

You should check out this amazing game called star citizen. I think you and your buddies could have a lot of fun playing it. It's still in alpha however so there a lot of bugs. The game is still beyond fun

"little bit of bugs" *looks back on that time i spent £100 on a ship that took me over 5 hours and around 300 deaths to climb the ladder to enter the ship* (i know the ladder death bug has been fixed still does not take away from the fact it was a thing for around 2 years)
