For anyone that questions reliability, I watched one of these roll through a wholesale auction with 200k. It looked and ran like it had a quarter of that. I’ve driven these as well, and for the money they are amazing.
Jesus...That’s is a killer price for a car of that level. With that much power and luxury... one of the used market gems for sure. Now if it’s reliable then it’s a perfect family car or luxury sedans better then buying a hell of a lot of brand new cars.
If you can get a grille for it that is more Mercedes style and do something with all that chrome trim and get rid of the badge on the hood. It might be alright.
I don't why half the comment section is talking crap about Korean cars when most of the European cars he gets at similar mileage are in WORSE condition.
iBlewupthemoon I mean Korean cars generally are very good cars with really solid reliability ;) Just they aren't exciting (except some very rare exceptions) and they mostly are for people that don't really care about what they drive. Yes it might be more reliable than an S class or a 7 series or A8 for that matter. However the car itself the fun part the design and the esteem that comes with it is a whole different level with similar Premium german cars ;)
Yeah, I think people still think of the old Kia Spectra when thinking of the Korean brands, which is why demand isn't that high for their premium cars. But they've improved a lot since the early 2000's
Well, you could take a look at the interior on the Equus...I wouldn't even call it equal to Lexus or anything. It's not terrible, but it's just off compared to that. Not on features, on design aesthetics. Same with the exterior, all the top tier Korean luxury cars always look really generic. The designs on the German top luxury models are far more distinctive. I'm not going to say they're more reliable, they really aren't. But these cars are made for rich people who almost always lease and then after 30-40k miles they turn it in for the latest version. The second owner takes it usually to about 80-90k. Any subsequent owners are in for the high maintenance period. I don't agree with this practice, but there is a price to pay for absurd gadgets. A working top tier German luxury car is hard to rival if you're going to be honest with yourself. The Equus might last longer with lower repair costs, but it's also far less impressive looking and more bland. For $70k, not hard to see why most would have passed this up. Personally I'd much rather an LS460 over the Equus, it still lacks some personality of the Germans but it has more substance than the Equus. But you'll be paying almost twice as much thanks to that Lexus reputation and reliability. Probably the best compromise between luxury, gadgets, and long term reliability.
I saw one of these at the dealer and took it home for the weekend. It was the most impressive luxury car I have been in with the most options, and yes I've been in Bentleys and Rolls Royce.

Now if it’s reliable then it’s a perfect family car or luxury sedans better then buying a hell of a lot of brand new cars.

If you can get a grille for it that is more Mercedes style and do something with all that chrome trim and get rid of the badge on the hood. It might be alright.
It's as bland as a Lexus LS to my eye. I think thats the point. People recognise it as a premium luxury car. They just can't identify it!
@@davidkaminski615 what?!! Have u seen a 2018 LS?
@@inse728 Yes. But I'm not comparing it to a 2018 LS. Compare it to an older LS and they look similar.
Back looks really nice but front looks like a rip off Mercedes.
I don't why half the comment section is talking crap about Korean cars when most of the European cars he gets at similar mileage are in WORSE condition.
It's the "German engineering" crowd. They still believe in that stuff.
iBlewupthemoon I mean Korean cars generally are very good cars with really solid reliability ;) Just they aren't exciting (except some very rare exceptions) and they mostly are for people that don't really care about what they drive.
Very true
I saw one of these at the dealer and took it home for the weekend. It was the most impressive luxury car I have been in with the most options, and yes I've been in Bentleys and Rolls Royce.

Yo, remember when Doug Demuro called u a "Crazy person from Kansas" while reviewing a Toyota Tacoma TRD?
My first car was a 2010 genesis coupe in highschool and I drove it HARD from 20k to 120k miles with no repairs except basic maintenance. Meanwhile my friends with german cars and subis were spending thousands on repairs while I spent it on mods. And people still find a reason to hate
The point ist your friends might have bought old cars. And you bought a newer one. ;)
That's not surprising...it had 20k on it when you got it and you abused in its near prime. I would hate to be the next person to get it.
Stop being jealous of your friends fancy German cars 😂😂😂
@@khairiomer3629 okay, Asian cars are often cheaper in maintenance, but it's just true for old BMWs.
@@khairiomer3629 I've owned 5 different VW's in my life... mechanically engineered well but there is always some electrical issue that makes ownership misrable. My 80's cabriolet would get water from the winsheild leaking in the fuse box causing a list of issues with relays, my Jetta 3 went through 3-4 different ignition coils leaving me stranded many times. Finally my '03 beetle couldn't go long without a head/tail light going out...and then the moonroof leaked water into the car. I had it parked a few months over the winter only to find the interior covered in mold...the ENTIRE inside in black green mold. I had to give it away. I am done with German cars.
I commented previously before I seen the end of the video, the end made the video even better haha!
Same lol
Bro can you give me a shoutout
A 2013 Hyundai Equus with 23k miles is being sold by my local dealer for 20k I wouldn't have thought to see this car again
Shiiit where your dealer located could use that plug.
This video will drive prices up! Damn Hoovie!
I bought a 2016 CPO Equus Signature with 26K on the odometer for $27000. This car went in service 10/16. My 5/60000 warranty will be good until 10/21. My 10/100000 powertrain warranty is good until 10/26. This is an incredible buy.....as long as you are secure in your car name badge. No one knows its a Hyundai when they ride in it......
Holy HELL did he say 429 horse power ? From a Hyundai

They are fast. My friend has one and he let me drive it, scary fast
US market. Everything is more powerful there.
Bought my 2015 Equus Ultimate about 4 years ago. It was in mint condition and only had 25,000 miles.
$28k out the door.
One of the best cars I’ve ever bought.
how is it now
Probably extra stinky and juicy based on his name lmao
Now im thinking of getting one like that, 15k for a 5L v8, sounds good to me

@@jordanbanko5347 Not the same one. Only has 385hp
This depreciated from $70k to $15k. A similarly equipped S class or 7 series would have gone from around $150k to $30k, and a Maybach would have lost several Equus in value over that same period, so I don't see any problems here. Great value and the G90 has a much better looking exterior finally.
I bought my Equus 2 years ago. This video sold me. Best car I ever owned.
Your phantom is a 2004 lmao, no wonder a 2013 car is superior.
I have a 2024 phantom
And what sucks is: That Phantom used, after 14 years, still costs as much or more as that Hyundai did when it was new.

I do
My name is real I live in a good part of LA & only have 1 garage space at my current house. So the Aventador SV gets the garage.
somone who's making a youtube video
Hyundai makes good cars and every brand has a luxury model. People are so brainwashed to think Benz and BMW are top of the line and would not even look at this car. Nice is nice I don't care. I'd buy this any day over a Benz or BMW, Rolls...etc.
