I can kind of relate to Claudia's defense mechanism. I'm like that when I'm in a new environment or when I meet new people. I don't really like to share too much information about myself. I kind of have to warm up to new things and test the water first before I can open up. I think it just stems from being shy.

When I was like, three, my grandfather dressed up as Santa and came in with the presents. He had taken up one of my mother's wrought iron outdoor lamps (one of those really nice hooded lamps), to go with the costume. And when he was leaving, he said he would just leave it at the door.
Lil' me, at mighty three years old, very cheerfully replied: "That's alright, Santa, that is where it usually sits!"

This video is so funny! There were so many great moments! Like Jessica’s defense for murder, that it’s not murder if you say “whoops”! And Claudia’s frighteningly funny declaration that she never does anything by accident! I love watching you two have such a great time together! What a blessing it is that you share with us!

In Germany there are three "people" that can bring presents:
Number 1 is the "Nikolaus" he is based on an old tale about a priest who helped poor people in the winter. On the night from 5th to 6th December you put a boot in front of your door and the Nikolaus then puts nice things in them (e.g Oranges, nuts, almonds, apples, sweets,etc.)
On 24th of December there are actually two people that can bring the presents and at varies from family to family. It's the "Weihnachtsmann" (literally Christmasman which is the equivalent to Santa Claus) and the "Christkind" ("Christchild").
In my family the Christkind was bringing the presents and i got always told that "der Weihnachtsmann" did not exist. But then i had this private-detective-phase and got a finger-print-identify kit and tried that out on my presents to find out that on thee presents there were only fingerprints of my parents and so i find out about everything.
That story about the girl confessing her love to Jessica. 😂 Claudia's face omg.

My brother and I were 5 and 6 when we confessed to one another that we didn’t believe in Santa Claus, then we agreed not to tell our parents so we would keep getting gifts!

I figured out Santa wasn't real fairly quickly but also never told my parents because I didn't want to spoil "the magic" for them, too! That is seriously so sweet.
A felony is a federal crime. Things like stealing a large amount of money, as well as drugs crimes that are like distribution, etc.

Candy Books x-men. Always x-men. And yeah I prefer the comics, I'm not huge on the MCU tbh I love guardians of the galaxy but the rest of them are a little average for me. #nerdshame
Candy Books if you're American and have Hulu they have the old 90s x-men cartoon which is super good. I'd watch that at least.
I don't have hulu but I'm sure I can find a way to watch it somehow. Also tbh I don't blame you about the mcu but I do think the netflix shows are quite good. Any comics to suggest as well?
When I was 6 on Christmas Eve I desperately wanted to decorate the house (parents tradition to wait until the 24th) but my parents were exhausted because they had been working all the way to that evening so I decided to decorate the tree while mum napped and dad feel asleep on the sofa. I started to put decorations on the tree But being tiny could only reach a certain part...eventually one part of the tree got so heavy and I vividly remember putting on the baulbaul that tipped the balance and this huge tree fell on top of me! 😂 my dad woke up to a little yelp and describes it as a tree with little limbs sticking out! Happy ending though, mum and dad were so tickled and now rested that we all decorated together and had a lovely evening!

I had the exact same thing as Jessica and Santa but with the Icelandic Yule Lads (we have them instead of Santa - you put a shoe in your window and they put a small present in it every night for the 13 nights preceding Christmas) - as a toddler I was TERRIFIED of the concept of strangers coming into my room at night, so my parents had to tell me they weren’t real. I was very relieved.
Hey Jessica I started to watch your videos recently and I must say I admire you :) and I wanted to share this experience with you... Three years ago I started having problems with tinnitus and I was really desperate and depressed I almost thought about killing myself and cried really loud when I was alone because I was suffering about many things in my life and this was like the tip of the iceberg. I didn't tell anybody what was happening I felt alone and I didn't have friends or someone to support me. I wanted to end it all because of the desperating sounds. I couldn't sleep or concentrate or anything... but Im glad I didn't do it.. I decided just to keep living hoping everything just to get better because some days the sounds decreased a little and that kinda gave me a little bit of hope, but I really wasn't expecting to recover all.. Months later my tinnitus almost dissapear like the same day I realized I was in love with my actual boyfriend (strange how life works!) (few days before meeting him) That was the last day I remember that tinnitus fade away at all.... It almost dissapeared completely. And now I think about it and Im so grateful to be alive and just keep going with my life although knowing there could be problems but Im sure now it can be alright because I am strong.. I am happy now about not having made a decision that now (if I were able to see my life now) I would have regreted about just because I was scared about my future and how to overcome life. Now I know that if anything happens I can overcome it and be brave and enjoy life. Because experiences like those make us strong. You remind me of braveness! Merry Christmas!

The first Christmas I remember was when I was 5 and my mom told me that there was no Santa and that we should know she bought the gifts yet the house was decorated with Santa statues and pictures. 😂

A felony in the US can be a wide array of things. it just means a very terrible crime, like murder, rape, assault, theft, selling drugs, public indecency, having certain types of drugs in your possession, etc.
when i was really little my sister told me santa wasnt real because she had found out by sleeping by the tree in a little corner and she saw our parents and was all surprised, and then i was kinda just like "eh okay cool"

In the Caribbean we celebrate Christmas & Epiphany day (Jan 6) or as we call it 3 Kings day. For 3Kings day children fill a small box with hay & leave a cup of water by their bed. This is for the Kings' camels. Parents spill some water & toss some hay around as to make it seem the camels were there. Parents leave the gifts in or by the box. The tradition celebrates the wisemen visiting Christ in the manger.

Me and my sister both kind of figured out around the same time that Santa wasn't real our parents never actually told us it was just one of those things where the belief just kind of left us we still play along and my mom will still write from Santa on a couple of the gifts honestly I think I would be upset if she didn't but I mean she knows we know the truth and I've actually gone shopping with her for both me and my sisters present "from Santa" in the past.
the "ritual" is still nice, it holds so many memories. And, it is about someone loving you and giving you gifts.
