Those of us late 30-/40- /50-somethings who remember when this song dropped were jumping our asses off to this track back when we were tweens/teens/twentysomethings. Nowadays for those of us in the latter half of that group it's more like House IN Pain when we "Jump Around" a bit too much.
This song reminds me of when I was 17, getting in a bar called Zelda's, with just a college ID, right by the University of Pittsburgh, for quarter drafts on Thursday nights. SO. MUCH. FUN. The bar eventually got shut down for underage drinking, but they got away with it for quite a while 😥🤣

This is actually a diss track to Ruffhouse Record’s CEO Joe Nicolo. He tried to sign House of Pain, but to a really shitty deal. When they told him to fuck off, he signed Kriss Kross and had them do “Jump”. You can’t really understand what Everlast is saying at the end of the song but it’s directed toward Nicolo. 🇮🇪

Back in the '90's every club played this to get the crowd going. Also Univ of Wisconsin had a group of students who played it up in one section of the stands back then because there weren't a lot of fans at the game. Since then it's played at the end of the third quarter and if you check on TH-cam you can see the entire stadium going crazy to this song..as well as the players. Great song!
