@@jlbrain9313 Well he did, cause his album wasn't hitting... So yeh he cared... One song messed up that whole album is the point... He even did a video boxing in the ring on a cable program called the Box... He got no love in those days in LA... Even with Ice T and King T etc getting his back.
Yeh, people care bro... Especiallly back then...

@@on2wheels378 his album did 200,000. He didn't flop as bad as people act like. He did better than both 3rd Bass dudes' solo albums a few years later. It's not all about the sales, man. We're talking HIP HOP. Listen to Syndication and Syndicate Soldier. He was dope already way back then. Give dude his props.

In those days, 200K albums ws a flop. West Coast Artists went at least Gold or Platinum selling more than the East... Without radio play... Yeh, 200K is a flop...

@@smile4dflash779 No. They all didn't. Lol for example...Above the Law NEVER went Gold or Platinum. That's not the argument. In hip hop (REAL hip hop) sales don't matter. Again, Everlast was ALWAYS dope. Give dude his props. End of story. Last response from me

B Real always great interview. I would love to head interviews with other HOP members for their perspective on what fell apart. If u can get past that it doesn't sound like the first album, "Same as it ever was" in my opinion was lyrically, musically and production wise superior to the 1st. Now 3rd album "Truth crushed" IDK WTF that was except a shit show getting pulled in multiple directions!!

We can pretend but Jump Around was hard & I'm an African American man. Irish & Italians got a similar life as us African Americans. They not the average Europeans, some Irish were in slavery in this country with our ancestors as well.
