    I tried using a tennis ball on my left side as you described in your video, hurt like heck but after a few minutes the pain in my right buttock and leg was gone. That was 2 days ago and I'm still pain free. I suffered for several days before trying this. Thank you Dr.Berg

      @Fred Forbes it all boils down to the figure at the end of the invoice ! When it looks like a number plate then yes there’s something wrong , healthcare should be free in my books specially for people who can’t afford it , having said that it’s also not a licence to bludgeon to death the insurances of people who can afford it .... cos that sips into the people who can barely afford it !
      Im all for prosperity .... but when your doctor owns 3 ferraris and a ranch from the proceed of his profession then something doesn’t quite add up
      Pretty sure most doctors are in it for how noble helping people can be , however some are looking at patients as walking cash cow

    • @andrearibi932
      @andrearibi932 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We have free healthcare here ! And fair pricing for who can afford it
      We also have free transportation too , for who cannot afford it , same goes for housing would you believe !!!!
      It’s about balance , fairness , and a good dose of humanity
      Healthcare should be budgeted for by tax contributions , I don’t really know why we going into communism !!!!!
      Why would you rob someone blind if he had health issue ??

      @Fred Forbes Many people they cannot or do not want to understand that THERE IS NOTHING FOR FREE. Someone has to generate wealth, money and what IF THERE IS THE TAXES. In other words, the money stolen from those who work, produce, came under the threat and force of a criminal group called "government." Because of that ignorance and stupidity, SOCIALISM EXISTS and demagogues with cute smiles, hunting idiots. If you read the Founding fathers, Adam Smith ("The Health of nations") or H. Hazlitt ("Economics in one lesson"), Von Mises ("The human action"), or from Tannehill "The market for liberty", maybe they would come out of their mental indoctrination matrix.

    This really did the trick for my husband. 5 days ago he had to go to the emergency room, because of a gallbladder attack (he has a large gall stone, unfortunately.) The pain medications given at the ER triggered his sciatica to flare up. Fortunately I found this video after 5 days of excruciating pain, he is now able to stand up straight and walk! Thanks!!! :)

    I had surgery in 2007 for spinal stenosis. Sciatica came back with a vengeance and I have suffered. I've had steroid injections that last only a few months to get rid of the pain. I was in so much pain the other night and couldn't even lay down so I searched TH-cam for help. Well, I found a video and tried what they said and I was amazed! The pain has been reduced by 95%! I actually slept on my back and side last night and woke up without that agonizing pain. Please watch this video. I was able to massage my left butt and leg until I could feel the relief on my right side. I will have to do this every day but who cares? It works! Love this!!! Try it!! I still can't believe it! Thank you Dr. Berg!

Not sure why the pain that Lizzymoore54 talks about travels all the way to the foot. • @newsview7844
    @newsview7844 8 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    Sciatica can also masquerade as hip and glut pain. It doesn't always make it entirely down the leg, although when it does it can feel more like burning or "pins and needles" as opposed to the tenderness and spasm that may present in the hip, low back and gluts.
    For men, it helps not to sit on your wallet. For women, it's important to stay away from high-heeled shoes that can throw off the hips/pelvis/knees and make any underlying problems that much more severe. For both men/women, supportive footwear - not flip-flops or flat shoes lacking in arch support - can also help relieve pain through the knees, hips and low back.
    Chiropractic is a big help for both sciatic and lumbar back pain, with "SOT work", side-posture adjustment and the "Thompson drop" useful in correcting rotations in the spine and pelvis that can trigger a sciatica "attack". Learning not to cross the legs at the knee, or even the ankle, can also help prevent one from "throwing out" the back/hips. And lastly, another aspect of prevention that rarely gets mentioned by physiotherapists, chiropractors and the like is the role of constrictive clothing around the waist/hip area. Belts and pants that are too tight and restrict the range of motion through the waist/hip/pelvic area can be responsible, in some cases, for altering the way the body moves, which might manifest as sudden-onset pain brought on by seemingly minor actions such as bending forward to retrieve something out of the bottom of a closet. For those of us who suffer from a degenerative, ruptured or herniated disc, spinal pain can be a frequent, if not constant, unwanted companion. With regular chiropractic care, strengthening core muscles and keeping the psoas, hamstrings, piriformis and hip flexors limber through stretching - along with avoiding the triggers mentioned above - back pain can be managed more successfully.

    I've done this several times and it really does work! I've had sciatica on/off for years. Generally not severe but enough where it's a bothersome. Lately I've had a dull/annoying pain on my right butt cheek down my leg from adding in more glute/leg strenghtening exercises and was trying all sorts of stretches to help (yoga pigeon etc). While they give some relief, nothing has worked as quickly and well as this technique. I have to revisit it and it hasn't gone away completely but I am confident that this will eventually end it. It's amaxing how much better I feel after just one minute of this:-) Thanks for the great and simple, yet effective exercise!

    IM 25 years old and due to the pandemic i haven't been moving around as much and have been sitting many hours a day. i started to experience some tingling sensation on my ankle/leg, shooting pain in my inner right knee and pressure on my right big toe. pain progressed and i started to experience shooting pain across my right leg , knee stiffness, and with that came lower back pain where if i sat for 20 minutes my back cant take it anymore. i bought many chairs thinking that the chair is the issue but nothing helped. went to a chiropractor and while that relived the pain for a few days, the pain returned as strong as it was before.
    my mom mention Sciatica since shes been suffering from it for years and from researching it online they say there's no cure and that surgery could be an option. i felt like my life was over before it started :(. i don't know how i stumbles across this video but i did this massage on my mom and she to me and OMG instanntt relieffffff. the pain was excruciating. i was screaming, crying and laughing. i got up and OMG i felt a huge shift in the way my right knee and foot felt. instant effect. i cant thank you enough Dr Berg. i've seen previous videos of yours that relate to digestion but never was a long-term viewer. i will definitely watch more videos and continue this massage and update this comment!! THANK YOU THANK YOU I NOW SEE LIGHT ON THE OTHER SIDE.

    Thank You Dr Burg.. I have had pain in the back of my right leg for 6 months or more. Messaging the other side brought almost instant relief to it. All this time i thought it was from a small piece of shrapnel from an injury almost 15 years ago that i found out was in my thigh about 2 years ago from an Xray over a brown recluse bite on my knee that almost took my whole leg. Im thankful i can walk every day and this video just showed me how to make this newest pain go away... I'm Grateful for the information you share...

    Going thru a recent bout of sciatica nerve pain. Dr Berg said to work on opposite side. NOT affected side! I did all of the treatment on left tho right was affected. It worked! Also using the roller to lay on to restore lumbar curve. Since retiring I’ve been sitting ALOT! Even tho I walk 10000 steps a day. Also Dr Berg advised no yoga if you suffer from sciatica. My first bout w this came about doing a yoga class. Sun salute pose caused first incident. This
    Pose compressed lower vertebrae. Thank you Dr Berg. No more pain!

    I got pulled a muscle in my lower back last summer and ended up with sciatica last summer. I finally managed to get rid of it by biking everyday. I'm not sure what cured my sciatica but the more I biked the better my leg became. I think it had to do with exercising the entire leg muscle on a daily basis. Anyways, I don't have a problem sitting down any longer and I have had zero sciatic pain in the last two months.

      @@dat_gurl_26 Sorry to know your Mom is having pain, and I hope she'll feel better soon. Please understand that I came to realize that this technique helps relief pain and not heal the patient from their condition. Also, I am not a doctor by any sort, so I'm merely sharing my experience.
      I basically followed the instructions in the video, while getting constant feedback from my wife if what I was doing helped or if it was too painful.
      She got better for a couple of days, but the pain came back again. Eventually, she found that daily walks is what served her the best.
      The only advice I have is that:
      1. Don't over do it. If your mom is not noticing any pain relief through the 3rd pass, stop.
      2. Again, don't over do it. Once she feels relief, end it. Don't go for another round.
      3. Apply light to medium pressure, just to the point where she feels comfort (not pain).
      I hope sharing my experience helps in making your mom feels better.

    Thank you Dr. Berg -
    Two questions-
    1. So what is it when the pain runs down the side of the leg if it isn’t sciatica? And what is the solution for that?
    2. Will this work no matter the root of the problem? For example, I’ve been told mine is from a herniated disk (diagnosed by MRI). I have the pain on one leg on the side, and on the other in the back as you’ve shown here.

    • @Iazzaboyce
      @Iazzaboyce 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A herniated disc can change its original shape and put pressure on a nerve. If the pain is very bad surgery can create space for the nerve and relieve the pain. If you have a damaged disc you must reduce physical activity and bending and if you can buy a suitable mattress. This will help the disc repair, but it will never be as good as before it was damaged. If it does not repair it can be removed and the space grafted with bone or an artificial disc can be put there. I don't think any massage type therapy will help.

    I fixed this 20 year problem in a few weeks. Lifting weights and making sure I do one arm rows for my back. Worked like magic. Strengthens the muscles around the spine. This pain used to be 24/7. Sitting/sleeping was horrible. Feel better at 52 than at 32. Hyper carnivore just takes it to a crazy level of feeling great but sciatica still went away on the standard diet

      But I've only discovered that 2 days ago, what else could I be doing to help the disc heal ?

    I don't know what I did but I had sciatica pain the last 2 weeks of April. Pain was down may left leg, down to knee. I could not stand for long before pain hit back and leg and had to rush back to bed. I looked at several videos and found/devised a position that could relieve pain in back and leg. Very simply, I lie on back, put left leg on right and right above ankle on left rest right under right knee. And I guess skin to skin my left leg would stay up without me holding it. And a few minutes like that, leg pain, back pain would subside and then lie on left side. Eventually, I had to go out run errands and such, suckrd up the pain which was getting better and the evening of Jun 2, the pain broke. Thank God.
