The sound of the shamisen is so special, it feels raw and yet full of emotions. This anime reminds me a lot of _Kono Oto Tomare!_ which is about the koto. The main character also loses his grandfather and rediscovers his passion for music throught a club in high school. If you started _Mashiro no Oto_ and liked it so far, I recommend you to take a look at it.

@@briar._ If Chika is not the main character, he is one of the main ones. Takezo is the first character introduced but is not strictly speaking the MC. Or if he is, he shares it with Chika and Satowa.

Absolutely stunning. I love it when you try something out not knowing anything about it to then be absolutely awestruck by it. This performance was incredible, I actually applauded when it ended... after a few seconds of processing what I had just witnessed of-course.

The emotion, buildup, and story told through music is absolutely amazing.. the second you could tell he was crying gave me chills, favorite part and definitely reached me like it did the audience

This show is like a gem that most people wouldn’t look twice at, the musics just so damn good
I listen to this and closed my eyes and legit cried. It made me think of my childhood home for some reason and just family man. I love this anime so far man its a 10/10 for me.
The crazy thing is when I heard this I was going “wow, this reminds me of the Yoshida Brothers” and then I soon realized, they’re a part of this.

Memories of first hearing the shamisen for a “Nintendo Wii/Wii would like to Play” commercial comes rushing back-but its not “Kodo (Inside the Sun Remix)” or “Rising”-it’s something 1000x more better!

Man I love this anime so much, every once in awhile I circle back around to it and it has the same effect every time.
Music is organized chaos. Add to that some life experience and passion, and you get something that conveys many things with every note.
Gotta say that the audio is very pleasant to listen to. Definitely going to check this anime out.
