Thanks! Now I gotta make a pot of beans so I can have a bean & cheese burrito, Ima be obsessed until I get one now! Unfortunately I live an hour or so north of Santa Ana so I'll be making my own. It's pretty much a burrito wasteland here in spite of the hispanic population, but there is one place that deserves a Michellin star, it's called Garden Market - in Santa Paula - and they make the best Chile Relleno burrito on the planet!! Not to be missed!
El Pollo Loco years ago introduced the Smokey Mountain Black Bean Burrito. Later on you could get the same thing off-menu by asking for a BRC burrito with black beans. Now you can't get it anymore. 😢
The stretch criteria is nonsense. It's not pizza. The squeeze is juvenile. The best B&C burritos are creamy and the cheese is dissolved into the rich beans.
Bean and cheese burritos are simple and great they can take out a lot of burritos with dozens of toppings/condiments just with those Two things …viva the original burrito 🌯
I am skeptical about Michelin guide stars. Bc I know for a fact that there are mind-blowing tacos in hole-in-the-wall spots...but there are also Michelin star spots where the same type of taco is mediocre and expensive. THANK YOU for telling me that Michelin Guide accepts mucho dinero from rich folks. The game is rigged.
For anyone really wondering -- a Michelin restaurant is an eatery of exquisite excellence, posture, service, etc. including the five characteristics that he'd mentioned. The most important of everything, though, is consistence. A restauarant isn't graded how you would typically think it would be depending on its stars; every 'Michelin star' is awarded on basis of continued quality. The stars are not given out as a simple '1 to 10' rating, but rather a restaurant must pass the immensely-strict qualifications every time that they're called upon to do it. A star is granted every time they exceed expectations and no one is rewarded multiple at a time. The more stars you have, then the longer your establishment has 'serving the best'. Michelin stars can be highly-debated, though, and the system sometimes has no real and outlined standards.
Michelin rated is super common and just denotes a place that's worth going to, often involving category yearly awards. Not to be confused with michelin stars which are EXTREMELY difficult to earn and maintain. None of these places have stars far as i know, but they have good food nonetheless
@@foodbeast i did see the santa ana sign but wasnt sure if they were all in that same area. Im from cali but i was also wondering if there was a santa ana somewhere else haha
@@foodbeast I live in California, the land of the best burritos in America... I eat Mexican food pretty much every day. That's a sad looking tortilla burrito with a lil bit of bean n cheese filling. I'm just saying that's a sad little tortilla roll.
None of these look as good as ANY burrito you can get across the border. If you like these, Just tasting ONE fresh burrito de hielera would make your head explode.
I could eat burritos la palma all week and not get sick of it. And I have.
Dude, 1000%
lol big facts, used to cater us once a week during Kitchen League streams
In my top 10 so far for sure
Sounds like a Phambot video to try 😅😅😅😅
Try la rancherita off 5th street
Bean burritos every day for 100 days? What’s your gastroenterologist and proctologist have to say about this?
Burritos La Palma don’t miss!!! 🎯
they stay tough to beat
It really doesn't
Hard to believe that a beans and cheese burrito would even be considered by those who give michelin ratings .
Yah that's why we fancied it an interesting topic

What about Al and Beas bean and cheese burritos ? They should be on the Michelin list
Agreed
They're incredible and agreed, Michelin should recognize
@@eliepoo the chile relleno burrito from there is 10/10
@@ilovebibblesneed to go back and try that one specifically
Everybody in Boyle Heights acts like that place is heaven, been there several times and I ain't seen anything worth the hype😊
OC/LA have the best mexican food
OC really blessed. These were all walking distance
Great. Now I gotta try La Palma. It looks amazing. Definitely my choice between the 3.
-- REAL FOODBEAST!
You won't go wrong with La Palma, and they got a few locations!! Hope you enjoy as well (=
❤❤❤ you can't go wrong with any of them🎥 but I agree

lol why is burrito #2 so fancy like it’s a bean and cheese burrito 😂
😂😂😂
lol the place normally doesn't serve it cut like that but they saw the cameras and just went for it 😂
And it looked extremely sub par. Why do none of these places have burritos with filling? They're mostly tortilla
Burritos La Palma already has copycat restaurants trying to (but terribly failing ) imitate its success. ¡Viva Zacatecas!
The stretch criteria is nonsense. It's not pizza. The squeeze is juvenile. The best B&C burritos are creamy and the cheese is dissolved into the rich beans.
Thr tortilla makes all the difference
Big factor for sure. Only three ingredients typically, 1/3 of gotta be rock solid
@@foodbeast Its all about perfecting the proper technique and of course practice. Cheers
I was so full after this lmao thanks for having us!!! 🙂🙂🙂
They are so good !!!!!
Have you had all three?? Which is ur fave??
There's no beating La Palma's burritos. That place is consistent as hell.
Tough to beat for sure

Restaurants pay to be reviewed by michelin so.....
Not exactly correct. Travel Bureaus representing entire areas/cities have been known to pay to have critics come by and give restaurants a shot, tho

Al and Beas best bean and cheese burritos
In the Top 10 of the 100+ Elie has eaten so far currently 💪🏽💪🏽

Three guys coming in with advance notice and cameras in the kitchen. Gee, how objective!
Right?
Isn't it pathetic that you have to rely on a tire company to tell you what tastes good? I mean shit, you either like it or you don't.
Ok! 👍🏽 😭
why does cheese pull matter
La Palma and Lupes 2 in East LA is the bst hands down.
Need to try Lupe's!

Santa Ana, CA on this one. Good note for us to be more explicit about the cities we cover!

If you ever in Utah go to yoko taco and get a bean and cheese burrito. Heirloom rancho Gordon beans and it’s 6 bucks.
