- ArieForce One or Iron Gwazi? It's not an easy question to answer, so let's put them head to head. Welcome to ArieForce One vs. Iron Gwazi - Battle of the RMCs!
Both ArieForce One and Iron Gwazi are roller coasters built by Rocky Mountain Construction, or RMC. ArieForce One is located at Fun Spot Atlanta, while Iron Gwazi is located at Busch Gardens Tampa. These coasters have been getting a lot of comparisons lately as two of the best coasters ever built by RMC.
ArieForce One and Iron Gwazi are both incredible, but almost everyone seems to have their opinion on which one is better. So let us know in the comments below, which coaster is better? ArieForce One or Iron Gwazi?

Arieforce one is the only one I've been on of these two, and it shocked me how good it is when i rode it.
For Iron Gwazi it's insanely out of control but the only element I really like is the death roll. I feel like it's serious missing something after that last airtime pop before the breaks. I like ArieForce One better overall. Right before or after the last inversion they need to install a trim break to dial in the pain. Finally got back to Cedar Point 2 weeks ago and Steel Vengeance is still my number one but ArieForce's outerbank hill is better than SteVe. 1 SteVe, 2 AF1, 3 IG for me.
I hope a trim isn’t necessary! I still need to get back on Steel Vengeance too
I feel like Gwazi should have had a roll into the brakes, the brake section is pretty long and can fit more trains than it needs so they could have done it
I prefer AF1 because of the more complete package and it has more airtime while still retaining the best parts of Gwazi (which is the pacing and whip for me).
The pacing is so good on both! One is just bigger and one is more compact
But just the fact that Fun Spot has a ride that legitimately competes with Busch Gardens is amazing to consider. I’m team AF1!

@doctorcoaster hurricane is my favorite secret death trap coaster 😅
I love both coasters and both are in my top 3 but I prefer iron gwazi only because of the night ride I got on it, the slightly better pacing, and the fact that it was my 100th credit but I do love how on arieforce one you never get stapled and it runs fast all day as opposed to gwazi where it is significantly slower in the morning.

I just don't think these two are comparable simply because they're RMCs. Iron Gwazi and Zadra are built with the same experience in mind, brutal chaos / sustained momentum. Arie Force One and Steel Vengeance are more comparable. They're both marathon rides.

Hi Sean, both are amazing, anytime in the odd rows i grab the back of my seat
5:16 “this thing” is actually one of the better parts on the ride for me, it delivers great positives (but that twist n shout wave turn thing is the bedt)

These two perfect coasters are so close in how much I enjoy them, and it can be tough to figure out which one is the better coaster. I do like Iron Gwazi better, but not significantly better. These two coasters are just so close in how much I like them. And I do like your comment "does it really matter" when answering the question which one is the better coaster. I'm planning to head down to Fun Spot in the next few days or so to get some more rides on ArieForce One -- I've been jonesing to ride it again. Side note: Fury 325 is presently my most ridden coaster, and its first drop is beyond incredible, but Iron Gwazi's first drop does rival it -- so, I fully agree with you on the excellence of Iron Gwazi's first drop and how well it compares to Fury's first drop.
It really doesn’t matter😅 I feel like that’s the downfall of many enthusiasts, I just do this for fun!
@@doctorcoaster Fun is the core of why I love riding roller coasters as well. That's the fundamental purpose of it. Right? I don't put much time or effort into making a science out of it. Yeah, I have my favorites and not so favorites of coasters, and I there are coasters that I think are better than others -- and I have reasons why I think this -- BUT ultimately, it's really not very important. I'm definitely an enthusiast BUT I also have my limitations. I have my favorite coasters, but I don't rank all the coasters I've ridden. After about my top eight to ten favorites, the rest are a jumble of ones I like a lot, ones I like okay and ones I dislike. I'm also guilty of skipping out on coasters that I have no desire to ride -- so, I don't ride coasters to rack up credits. I think that ties into "doing it for fun"-- if a coaster is no fun for me to ride, then I won't waste my time riding it. With that being said, getting credits isn't important to me. I don't know, maybe I violate the bylaws of being an enthusiast.
Iron Gwazi has the edge for me, but that can change.

Hoping to come ride AF1 in September/October, so will be able to answer soon. Does AF1 differ in morning vs evening rides in your opinion?

I'm visiting Fun Spot Atlanta next week, what is their policy for on-ride GoPros on ArieForce One? I tried emailing the park and they haven't gotten back to me yet.
I’ve seen a few of them recently, but I would definitely ask for permission!

For around 8:15-8:20 I can confirm that the ride forces thing is inaccurate. Unless you hop in line after close, iron gwazi is usually 3.8-3.9 positive gs and negative -1.2 gs

As I’m approaching 500 credits, which I will get in less than 2 weeks and I’ve ridden 18 different RMCs and I will complete the US RMCs in those two weeks here are my thoughts. I have 40 rides on iron Gwazi and 19 on Arie force one. Both have elite pacing and neither really has a dead spot. I go think iron gwazi has a significant edge on the first drop. AFO first drop is just average by RMC standards. AFO may have a slight edge on the inversions but inversions are not as important for me as pacing, setting, and air time. The ending on Arie Force One could be improved upon. I don’t have the issues with the air time hills but the sudden stop thrust you into the restraints. I give a slight edge to iron Gwazi which is my #2 overall. Arie Force One is my #5 overall. So both are currently in my top 1% of coasters I’ve ridden.
Absolutely amazing that we could ride both of these coasters in the same day if we wanted to!😎
No lightning rod love? I've ridden both these rides and still have lightning rod over them.
@@coastinthrupacks I personally never rode the original lightning rod. It’s in my top 10 but doesn’t touch these 2 for me
@@coastinthrupacks I actually have Lightning Rod as my #4 overall coaster. Steel vengeance is #1 and Velocicoaster is #3 to round out my top 5

ArieForce One looks better overall but Iron Gwazi has stronger moments.
For example, I’d take ArieForce over Gwazi but like Gwazi’s drop and death roll more than ArieForce’s elements. But ArieForce has the stronger second half

I don’t think Iron Gwazi drop is close to as good as Orions or Fury 325. That extra 100 feet in those B&M restraints kills it.
The floater is definitely superior!

8:13 My rides on IG pulled -1.1 in both the front and back, and with 24 rides on AF1 i bet i’ve seen airtime as strong as you say. Despite this I still like IG more, I’m not sure what it is but I just like it more. Arieforces elements hit better, but I find the stall to be overrated (tbf i find IG death toll to be overrated too). Just something about IG I like more; maybe it’s more sustained positives, maybe it’s something to do with the park, i have no clue but I just like it more. Oh and AF1s quad down and brakes are too much for me! I’ve found ways to brace for it, including a tighter restraint and the back car but that abundance of airtime comes at the expense of leg pain and IG caused me no pain so i prefer it
For some reason that quad down just doesn’t brother me😂
I was a little disappointed by AF1's first drop and raven dive, but the rest of the ride more than makes up for it. The stall is good, the outerbank is great, the double-up is fantastic, and the arcade roll is my favorite element.
My only other complaint is that finale. The rapid transitions between positives and negatives made me feel sick and killed the re-ridability for me. All that said, I still loved it, and it's my #3 coaster.
I haven't ridden Iron Gwazi yet, so I can't say if I would like it better. I believe I probably will whenever I am able to ride.
The first drop has really grown on me for some reason, but Iron Gwazi’s is just so massive! ArieForce One’s drop packs more of punch, Iron Gwazi’s is longer
@doctorcoaster Yeah, it is definitely still a good first drop. Expectations can alter our perceptions, so I definitely want to go back and get some more rides in.
Iron Gwazi overall is better IMO. However, AF1’s zero G stall is far better.
Excellent Video I love almost everything about it from the analysis to your obvious bias (which I actually love) 🤣except one thing your comparing apples and oranges, Iron Gwazi is a completely different animal *pun intended* but nice try Ill give you plenty of credit for that. However, I want to hear from subscribers from the great state of Pennsylvania who happened to have a brand new RMC in Wildcats Revenge. So Doctor Coaster if I may, I am going to start the smoke by Saying that Arie Force is not only the best Coaster in Georgia it is WAY Better than Wildcats Revenge!! Let the arguments begin 😂

I don’t know why but I like the smaller RMC drops better than the bigger ones. They just pack in more of a punch
I definitely think ArieForce One has more of a gut punch, but Iron Gwazi has that free fall feeling
@@doctorcoaster fr, ive yet to ride an rmc with a drop as good as twisted cyclone's in the back. ig nor af1 has that whip.
Twisted Cyclone's 1st drop is more whippy than AF1's and IG's first drop

Just rode Iron Rattler (along with Outlaw Run, New Texas Giant and ArieForce One) for the first few times last week on my trip. Was disappointed overall wxcept for ArieForce One. Rattler and New Texas Giant were good, but you can tell RMC hadn't quite perfected things yet. Outlaw Run tho I hated every second of it. Thank God RMC decided to start making their own trains eventually...
