Why Doesn't Anybody Talk About The Legend? - Holiday World CCI Wooden Coaster

The Legend at Holiday World is an elite wooden coaster, but seemingly nobody talks about it. When I visited Holiday World for Holiwood Nights, my expectations for the legend were not very high and I just expected to marathon the voyage the entire time I was there.
The legend ended up in my top 15 overall and I was absolutely shocked at just how good it truly was. I still rode the voyage plenty, but I made sure to spend a good bit of my time at Holiday World lapping the legend as well.
If you didn't already know just how incredible The Legend at Holiday World is, I hope you do now. The Legend is ELITE!
Side note: I tried to write and edit this review in a way that wouldn't totally spoil the layout of the legend in hopes that others can go in relatively blind to the sequence of the layout!

Holiday World certainly changed my opinion on woodies last year. Absolutely loved Raven, Legend, and Voyage.

I think if raven or especially legend were in smaller parks as their premier coasters they’d get a lot more love in general from the community. I love that this park has 3 such fantastic woodies

Ah Santa clause indiana. Was about an hour drive for us as a child. I haven't ridden the legend since I was 17 ish. Moved away when I was 22. Been gone for 17 years. Glad to hear it's still as great as it was. Even thought I live right between dorney hersy and knobels... I miss holiday world.

The answer's actually quite simple here. The Voyage, one of the top 5 wooden roller coasters in the world, is in the same park. When you have a roller coaster THAT well rated in the park, other ones in the park, even if they're really good, will be overlooked. If The Legend was at a park like Dorney Park or ValleyFair, it would be thought of way more as it wouldn't have such a top tier roller coaster overlooking it.

Great video! I personally think this ride is good but not great and I think it lacks airtime but because of the helix and laterals I understand its appeal. I personally like Raven more but this is still a woodie that would be most parks top woodie coaster.

legend is better than Voyage imo when I rode Legend at HWN I was shocked why do people hate on this ride so much!!!!

The Legend is fantastic, and so is the Raven! The Voyage is one of the all time greatests! My favorite roller coaster line up at any park by far! I wish they would would make Legend's first drop more dynamic though! I thought the Raven's first drop was surprisingly good! I've never ridden any of the coasters at night, so hopefully one day soon I'll get that experience!

Legend is FAN tastic. When I went to holiwood nights I ride legend and raven and not voyage. Voyage was just too intense for me. Not reridable.
