Riding Iron Gwazi At Busch Gardens Tampa! | The World's Fastest & Steepest Hybrid Roller Coaster!

- In today's vlog we head to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay for our first look at Iron Gwazi, Florida's newest thrill ride! Iron Gwazi is the world's fastest and steepest hybrid coaster, with a top speed of 76 mph, a 91 degree drop, highest point of 206 feet, 12 air times moments, 3 inversions and it travels more than 4,000 feet of track! We got to ride it 4 times, in the front and the back. We also got to check out the Iron Gwazi merch and the retro Gwazi merch as well (which was pretty awesome!). I love all Tracker videos, but I think my absolute favorite category of Tracker videos is “Tim rides a rollercoaster for the first time.” Also, the edit on this video is gorgeous, Jenn. Thank you both for the time and energy that you put into every video!
Hearing Tim scream and see the far away shot of the first drop was comedy gold. Also just hearing his "weee" is so fun. Glad he had fun and thanks for the video!
I was working here while they were building it and I will tell you they took great care in making sure the building of this ride would be the safest and best thing for the park for years to come. I used to ride the original Gwazi and I loved that ride with all my heart. Seeing it reimagined in this way gives me pride in having worked with this company. I can’t wait to ride it someday! Also a cute little fun fact, for the holidays as they were building it they had a large Christmas tree set up at the peak of the first drop while under construction. ❤️ Love these videos! 14:36 Love the horizon locked / stabilized POV video. For these RMC conversions with numerous inversions and zero-g stalls, it really helps to get a sense of what is going on.

I haven't been able to ride thrill rides, or coasters, since I had spinal surgery in my neck in '98. I MISS having the stuff scared out of me riding a coaster like this! :) I did chance both Splash Mountain and Test Track several years after the surgery, and found out, I can ONLLY do them both ONCE per week-long trip. Did Test Track twice, and was sore for DAYS!! Thank you for sharing, Tim, glad you had fun. Tears and drool - GOOD day! LOL

The first roller coaster that I have ever rode was the original Gwazi. This video just gave me nostalgia.
The difference watching Tim in the front..and then the back is totally two different experiences.
The POV in the front I was like oh this looks fun I can do this. The POV FOR THE BACK, I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE SICK! 😆 🤣 😂
Agreed a much more aggressive ride in the back.
Tim you are so kind and gentle and this coaster is, well, anything but. I’m impressed at your restraint from yelling obscenities. What a great coaster and you are right - it is INTENSE!! Great footage as always.

It sure was quiet on the ride. All the other coaster enthusiasts are all quiet and tryna play it cool and Tim’s all “weeeeeeeeee!!” Lol! I love it. I would have been screamin my head off.

I got the honor of riding this over 50 times over the course of 3 days. I have been on every RMC in the US and this BLEW ME AWAY.. It feels like Wonder Woman but 206 ft tall, longer and with better elements. Steel Vengeance fans, you have legit competition. I can't choose, they are both so perfect but a LOT of people were saying this is better and I understand why. It doesn't have the length of SV, but it packs a ridiculous punch. Almost all the elements are better than SV. It is more intense. It feels MUCH faster. Steel Vengeance has that awesome inner structure part after the brake run though. Probably an unpopular opinion but that is my favorite part of the ride. It is disorienting, awe inspiring, and unique to me. On the other hand, EVERY second of Iron Gwazi is awe inspiring. It's a really tough call so ride it and judge for yoursel. Both are 11/10.

Thanks for sharing! I rode Gwazi when it was just a wooden roller coaster (that was a rough and bumpy ride!). My pic from the ride was hilarious though! My hair was going everywhere! I don't think I'll be riding this one though, but I love watching them... (not much of an upside down person anymore thanks to vertigo 🥺)

Low-key completely missed Tim's run in the back row the first time so I had to go back and rewatch it... I was too mesmerized by dude's hair right in front of Tim. I have never seen such glorious locks in my life. Like, I NEED to know that man's haircare products. Wow. *Yowza* I could stare at that man's curls in the sunshine all dang day, and I swear I don't mean that as creepy as it sounds lol.

Rode this twice today! The only part that kinda scared me was how it slows down at the top and I will say that drop is a beast! The inversions were not rocky like I thought they would be - row 6 & 7 for a smooth ride! Overall, a solid ride!
I’m coming on Saturday from cold NJ to ride Ice Breaker at SW and Sunday to Busch Gardens, back to SW on Monday for tours then Disney Parks and SW again on Friday & Saturday ! I’m looking forward to SW 7 Seas Festival and being with my Florida friends! Tim you are so informative, appreciate you and Jen!
The last time I was at Busch Gardens was when it was the "dueling" coaster and I remember getting a necklace with that design on it... first time I've heard vintage used for something from my childhood LOL

I live 20 minutes from Busch Gardens a Tampa. I can’t wait to ride this coaster when it opens.
I told my husband, "If we don't get a WEEEE, I'm going to be upset!" To which my husband said, "Oh, you know we will." Thank you, Tim, for never letting us down with your WEEEEE's! It was nice having that guys long hair on the second ride to show off the great air time!!
It's an amazing coaster. Super smooth ride! Busch Gardens also did a great job planning by having lockers right at the entrance, as well as zipper pockets in the coaster for your phone/wallet/etc. Rode it three times last weekend, and it was amazing!

This coaster reminds me of The Twisted Cyclone at Six Flags over Georgia. I live in GA and go all the time, that ride is my favorite ride ever.

I had foot reconstruction and tendon transfer surgery done in December and will have to relearn to walk this summer but man I miss being able to go out to the theme parks here in Florida

It's not in Florida, but if you want INTENSE you gotta ride Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion. That is notoriously the most intense roller coaster even after they re-did the track because it caused too many people to black out.
They make some great rides. Wicked Cyclone in six flags New England was one of their firsts. And its my favorite coaster of all time!
Rmc hybrids are so incredible on the back row!! They redid one of my favorite coasters (Twisted Cyclone) back row only!!

When I used to work here and it was still gwazi But under construction, I would eat my lunch in the operator/control box of the ride it was great!

Coasters that go upside down with only a lap bar style restraint makes me nervous, but intrigued. I haven't rode something like this since I rode Son of Beast in Kings Island in 2000.... Looks like a blast!
You have a lap bar and shin guards.. you feel secure on this ride.
