Nice place for the animals
Yes, a hide box on the platform for all of them may work better. They've always been off the ground, so they may not feel safe if the box is on the ground. I noticed that there is usually a place high up for foxes to hide, at saveafox

Chris I worry about what a toll that 12 Hours round takes on you. I worry also about Gabby all alone for those three days. Take good care of your selves. I felt so excited that Jet let you pet him. I hope the new fox is able to adjust to his new life. I agree with you on the laws that allow those animals to be treated so terribly.
Just came across your channel. Love it! Love what you do! It takes me back in time. Have experience working with exotics myself. It is very rewarding to take care of these guys that would otherwise have a totally different outcome in life. I also have been a Vet Tech for about 30 some years. Exotics, equine, small/large animals. Primates. Big cats. Nothing like deworming a Grizzly bear with Ivermectin injected into mini blueberry muffins!
Love your dedication. Love your enclosures and set up! Such a beautiful place. Such dedication. You guys took on a big job!
I know what it's like to be there 24 hours. Worked at a small Zoo for 5 years. 35 acres. Lots of different species. Lived on the grounds for some time. It's a way of life. Not some fun to be had every once in a while. If I could make a suggestion to make things easier. I can imagine how hard it must be for just the two of you to take care of things.
Don't want to step on anyone's toes. If I heard "work smarter not harder" once, I heard it a million times!"
Have you ever thought of getting double sets of feeding bowls? Just to make feedings easier? Instead of picking up dirty bowls, cleaning and refilling, taking back to enclosure. Fill clean ones in a.m. Feed, pick up dirty ones. Clean. Ready for next day. Just a thought. Maybe you have already started that. Got here late it seems. But I've heard Chris say he's picking up empty bowls in a.m. and then returning with full ones.
At any rate, long story short! LOL!

I can't understand why fur farms are still legal in the USA. Here in the UK they are illegal. You guys & Save a Fox do an amazing job rescuing & giving foxes a quality of life..🦊🐺❤️

Super random but the dangerous things about wombats is they’ll be Alllll cute and friendly to rescuers and whatnot. The second they hit maturity they will literally wreck you. From all the critters I’ve researched and experienced wombats see seriously the most drastic.
Our hornbill went from sleeping and cuddling on your shoulder to trying to stab your eye literally out
I actually like the red and white fox more. I don't like how much of a bully Hazel is. Lol.
There is SO MUCH wisdom in the eyes of a giant Tortoise.
Shippo is so gorgeous! Hopefully he starts to feel more comfortable soon

I gotta tell you, watching you and Chloé "dancing" melts me every time I watch you visit and feed her. She just adores your attention! I8s she a small Molocan/ salmon crested cockatoo? She has the colors. I baby sat Molocan for a friend years ago. His name is Louie. His head and crest was GORGEOUS. His body however, was a different story. He was naked from his neck on down. 😅 He looked like a naked Cornish Game hen wearing a pretty hat. ! Dean (friend) offered me an extra $1000 if I could get him to stop chewing his feathers. And so I did! He chewed his feathers Dean left him for 5 months out of the year fishing in Alaska. Louie had separation anxiety. His feathers would grow beautifully until Dean left. He'd leave with a beautifully feathered bird and come home to a "naked chicken"...that's how he put it😅. I convinced him to let Louie be adopted by a family I knew who could love him and give him the attention he needed to keep him happy. He had a new famiky that would NEVER LEAVE HIM. Chloe is 5 times smaller than Louie but they have the same colors and personality. Louie slept at the foot of Dean's bed. He had a BEEEEEUTIFUL "Sleigh bed" that had a huge, "perchable" head and footboard. He would perch on the footboard and spend every night with me. I would wake up and he'd get so happy he flipped out his gorgeous crest and make his jungle noises. Good memory. Thanks guys❤

all the pigs sat today for produce treats. That was so much fun. I am hoping the sweet boy fox will be able to recover some in time from his 3 year small cage experience. Praying for sweet new rescue fox boy Chippo. Jellybean the Tucan had such a varied diet today. He was not impressed by your exclusion of blueberries or at the very least grapes. Chris, I admire your dedication and hard work. It is already paying off and will continue to bring you more success. You put your heart and soul into this and I just want you to know we notice it and appreciate what you and Gabby sacrifice in order to bring these animals a better and happier life!
On another note with regard to the new male fox. It disgusts me what human beings are capable of. The fact that this kind of abuse of animal is legal just so someone can wear the animals skin and coat is disgusting to me. We need to change this. There is zero reason for this to be legal. These animals have a spirit and a soul and you can take one look at that male Fox and see the pain and suffering he has had to endure for the past 3 years. I try my best to support you when I can through your Amazon wish list. I wish I could do more. I'm disabled living on a fixed income but feel it's so important what you are doing that I'm willing to make sacrifices in my life to help these poor animals live a much better life with you and Gabby.

I appreciate these updates so much. This world is crazy, but these videos are a great way to take a step back and enjoy life. I use to live with my aunt who had a silver fox that lived in her house. I don’t know wtf she was thinking but, her furniture is eaten, house is 90% fox urine, and I mistakenly ate a bagel from a toaster that he peed in. It wasn’t his fault but, homie seriously needed to be in an outdoor enclosure.

Cats are funny, they modify their behavior when they interact with us, and often act much more juvenile around us than they would otherwise.
And Shipo is a very handsome boy, but so sad. I'm looking forward to him coming out of his shell.

Hey, Chris, I may be wrong, but the fox did in fact had a shelter inside of his cage, it was shown in Saveafox's video, I guess the guy just getting used to the new enviroment or likes being outside.
You can always build a larger enclosure a small cage might feel more like a reminder of where he threw up them something that’s very open and he can easily go in and out feeling trapped so maybe something with just three sides so he doesn’t feel enclosed just a thought
At 19:02 when ya’ll remarked that Shippo was snapping…I had the impression that Shippo was just biting at that thin branch that was in front of him. I didn’t feel like he was snapping at air or you guys.
Majority of people that comment “I want one” on posts with cute animals don’t actually mean they want one. For example I’ve seen cute penguin video and said I want one but I don’t actually want it it’s just a saying.

It absolutely breaks my heart to know that that is legal and countries to keep animals like that regardless of what their end goal is all creatures, great and small should have the right to a comfortable life regardless of what, and when life will end!!
It needs to stop and why is this still legal? Why has this not been addressed? It is animal cruelty if we were to treat a dog or a cat like that that’s a chargeable offence even in US why is it legal because it’s a fair trade it’s wrong and cruel.
I hope someday that these laws will be changed and places that house animals, and that way are shut down forever, and never have the opportunity to own or keep an animal wild animals are not pets the world is in a perfect balance, and when we take wild creatures out of their habitat we throw the planet out of a balance we all have a place and we all have a purpose, and we need to be able to do that purpose and fulfil what we are to do.
I just thought furs were no longer used in clothes etc. I am so disappointed.

I just don't understand why you don't set up a patreon or something and provide links on your youtube videos. Missing a great opportunity to give people a way to support the sanctuary. There are YT viewers that aren't very active on fb, X, insta, etc.
Not every content creator is going to do the exact same things. With this new sanctuary, they have A LOT on their plates.
