Which pump did you go with after all? I’m watching videos as well trying to see which one I’ll pick before I have my baby. So many to choose from, I’m glad people make videos and write reviews.
@@katherinel7528 yes I went with the Medela because that’s the one they recommended at the hospital and I asked several of my friends and they recommended that one as well.. I haven’t used mine but will when my baby arrives 😊
I love the Medela Freestyle! It’s portable & small so you can carry it around easily. Really easy to put the pieces together and it got all of the milk out like a pro!
I pumped for 7 months and was able to feed my son and create a freezer stash that lasted until my son was 13 months. There is no way I could have done that without the Symphony Breastpump by Medela. It's their hospital grade pump that I rented from the hospital. It's huge and bulky, but I made it work. I even traveled with it for work. It's a fantastic pump!!
Expecting mama who just wants to say Thank You for filming -- super, super helpful. These pumps so expensive and this video is really informative and helped me make my ultimate purchase decisions.

I’m a 33 year old first time mom, 11 weeks pregnant. I’m trying to do all my research to prepare for baby, but there is so much to consider. I’m overwhelmed. When I was younger or when my Niece and nephew were coming up, there just weren’t so many options. I don’t even know if they had breast pumps back then.
va4life Congratulations mama!! Don’t worry you have time! Just take it one step at a time: breast pump, where baby will sleep, what car seat, what stroller, etc. Focus on one part of motherhood at a time so you aren’t overwhelmed! Also, I loved watching baby essentials videos when I was pregnant-it helped me learn a lot and decide what I wanted! Try searching baby essentials from 2018 to now to see what the newest and/or best products are ❤️
I am about to be a 2nd time mom and 1st time around I was so overwhelmed and I thought I needed EVERYTHING. You don't. truly. Most of the things we buy are simply convince. Baby truly only needs you, a place to sleep, breast milk/formula, warmth, and diapers. Everything else works itself out- do not stress. It's easier said then done, but try your best not to go information overload because it is so easy to do. Congratulations, mama!
@@audreykuczka4081 thank you for the advice! I feel the same way about baby not needing everything but others keep trying to convince me otherwise. They justify it by saying they will buy the stuff.
I was having second thoughts about ordering the Ameda mya through my insurance. After watching this video I’m glad I picked it out and can’t wait to receive it! Thank you 😊
How’s it going with the Ameda Mya? It’s my top choice, second choice is the Elvie but honestly leaning toward Mya. I feel it combines the portability with the power, based on the reviews I’ve read. It would also be my first pump.
I loved my Spectra pump. It's very popular for exclusively pumping mothers. Plus Pumpin Pals flanges are great! It's soft silicone and I got more milk using that.
Great video! Just throwing this out there, "hospital grade" is a term thrown around quite a bit. Hospital grade has nothing to do with suction (and therefore output). "Hospital Grade" only refers to backflow protection!
I swear by the Spectra S1 :) It's rechargable and lasts a while, kind of the same idea as your ameda mya, but with a bigger center console, still mobile though! I LOVE IT!!!
The lactation team at my hospital provided Medela to me and lent it for one week before my Spectra S2 breast pump arrived. So I had experience with both. Both of them work great. Recommended for all. Very easy to use and has great suction. No complain.
I had a great experience with my Spectra S1. Super quiet and efficient and a closed system, so hygienic! Also I found the suction way more comfortable than the Medelas I've used, but I also got more with Spectra! The S1 and S2s are also the preferred pump for most people in my bf support group.
I’m pumping while watching this 😂I use the lansinoh! Thanks for telling me about the elvie I think I’ll pass after hearing about . If it’s $500 it should do more!!
Gabriella V I have the lansinoh it was a great pump when I was pumping. I had the Madela PISA and found the suction comparable on them :). I love how it can be battery operated too (if I remember correctly). Why are pumps so expensive? I found the lansinoh much more reasonable.
I use the pump in style. Everything mentioned about it is true. I have to go to a different room to pump because it's so loud I cant do it at my desk. I'll definitely try a different one whenever I have another baby.

This is exactly the questions I needed answers for when shopping for my 2 nd time breast pump. Had the medela first time and used it along with the freemie cups for 12 months pumping at work 3 times a day. I hated the bulkiness of it. Definitely trying the Ameda this time. Thanks for the great quality videos!
I love how thorough you were with this review. A lot of moms said some of the cons of the different pumps, but most of them did not hit some of the cons that you did, such as not being able to see how much milk the Elvie expresses which was a good insight! I really appreciated this review.
I have been using the Spectra 9 plus for 17 months. While it's not perfect, its so helpful when i don't have access to an outlet at work or in the car.
Yes! I'm 27 weeks and my insurance offers it as an upgrade for $365. Still haven't decided between the Elvie and the new Medela Freestyle hands free one. What do you think?
@@shanequasauceda7251 shop it because i found that different places have different upgrade costs. 1naturalway said my upgrade cost for Elvie was $169 where it was $365 at aeroflow!
Ashley Hessman that’s soooo helpful. I’m a medical student and I feel like the Elvie would be best for me because I’m constantly on the go but $360 was still kind of steep for me. I’ve only checked through Aeroflow. Definitely going to check out others. Also this video was SUPER helpful since I have no idea about anything in the world of baby.
I have the ameda mya and I LOVE it. That being said this is my first baby and the only bump I have used other than the medela hospital pump. That thing was a monster lol
The Elvie pump will stop once the bottle is full. They are individual so putting it on when you are feeding on the other breast helps produce your milk. I only have one so it’s half price to the price quoted. Love it!
The best combo I’ve tried is the freemie cups paired with the Baby buddha pump! I also exclusively pump and I don’t even need to use my spectra s2 anymore. Love it!
Brittany Pino with this combo, are you able to pump discretely anywhere? For example surrounded by other people with out them knowing you're pumping? I'm curious because I'm thinking about getting the baby Buddha pump now. Thanks in advance.
@@jenniferpeck2672 Hi Jennifer. The Cups are definitely on the bigger side where they don't look that normal. Lol. You could put a scarf over and make it look normal that way. The pump itself isn't really quite but this really worked for me while I was home cooking dinner, washing dishes, pumping in the car and things like that. It's really helpful in that way. Hope this helps. 😊
Have you tried using the Ameda Mya with the Freemie collection cups for complete hands free? Would love a review video on this combination! Also, a comparison to the Spectra pump!
I rarely recommend the pump in style Medela breast pump at my work exactly for the reasons you mentioned; you find yourself stuck sitting close to it and it looks like a good choice to move around because of the bag, but you can't so it's a little deceiving. Medela actually has a few different pumps designed for your different lifestyle. The freestyle flex is a really good option that allows you to move around and charge it with a USB cord on the go and it's tiny but powerful like the Sonata :). Love your videos !
Helen Hines I haven’t tried it personally. From feedback and people’s experiences I know the pump in style is bulky and not great for mom’s with other kids to take care of as they pump since you need to sit still and wait :p it most likely won’t be as strong as their hospital grade symphony pump, but much more affordable and available to purchase and the pump itself is very good it’ll do what it’s supposed to !
If anyone has had issues making time or finding a place to pump at work Elvie has been absolutely life changing for me...in a good way. First baby I also used medela. Had to find a place and enough time to do this. I also found that the pressure of being under time pressure affects milk supply for me. Elvie allows me to pump when I want and where I want. Nobody can tell you otherwise. I also found I’m making more milk because I’m not watching it come out. This aspect is different for different people of course. I also only purchased one. So yes, it can be obvious that you are wearing it. But if you work in a fast paced environment where nobody is paying attention to you, people honestly never notice, or at least they don’t say anything 😀. I’m an RN and I am literally able to see patients and chart while pumping. I feel so empowered! Susan, thank you for your thoughts and I share some of the negatives that you do like that it’s messy to take off and positioning is REALLY important. It also needs to in tight. Tight fitting bra is necessary. But if you are in a position where pumping at work is next to impossible and you are risking losing your milk, try it! I’m so thankful for this product! Not sponsored by Elvie. I could only afford to buy one but that is working fine for me.
I believe your work is supposed to accommodate anyone who is going to need to pump when returning to work...at least that's what I understood from the video below. I believe your legally allowed, and something like there suppose to have a space you can use without being uncomfortable, check out link below. More research maybe required to know your rights about this. I believe the TH-camr lives in the US. th-cam.com/video/UqtpBmKLuHc/w-d-xo.html.
Thanks for sharing! This is good information for someone considering it. I didn’t even consider buying just one, but that’s a good point! We’re going to a wedding tonight and I’m bringing just one with me because it fits in my clutch.
Oh yes! I didn’t mean to advocate for people NOT to request time to pump at work. If that works for you, ask for it and know it is your right! In my profession as an RN however, I have found that sometimes I am so busy I would need to stay late to get all of my work done if I decide to pump. Sometimes it’s so busy, stepping off the floor for long enough to sit down and pump just isn’t possible. So I have chosen this option to free myself from the constraints of a traditional pumping system.
Spectra!!!!! I’ve had the S1 and S2!!! I’ve tried other brands and so far this is what I’ll be sticking with for my kiddos and pumping. I pump and a lot. So far my go to(:
Great informative video! The Elvie will actually turn off after it’s full (5oz each side) & it’s currently on most insurances. I exclusively pump and have 4 pumps! They each serve their own purpose!
Thank-you I needed this video! Currently using the Lansinoh smart pump which I love, Ive also had suction problems but the customer service was awesome !
I love my freemie! Both the cups and the pump. It’s portable and that’s probably what I love most. I don’t think I can ever go back to the traditional flanges or being stuck in one place. I’ve had a few hiccups with it, but it’s been my bff for quite a while now, lol!
I hated the Medela Pump in Style. It hurt so bad I would cry from using it. I quickly switched to the Spectra S1. I love that I can adjust both the speed and suction levels separately. I also love being mobile. I kept the Medela Pump in Style as a backup but it just collects dust. The silicone pump I have was a lifesaver right after giving birth but since my supply has regulated I haven't used it
Love your videos, Susan. I am still working on getting my 7 week old baby to latch properly so mostly giving her pumped breast milk. I was renting the Medela symphony from the hospital while I was seeing how things go, but decided it would be more economical to move towards purchasing. I bought the newest pump from medela-Freestyle FLEX (came out this November), and kept the hospital grade pump a few extra days to ensure my output didn’t reduce. Loving the freestyle flex and it actually (surprisingly) allows me to get more milk than I do from the hospital grade. It’s small (can hold it in your hand), and works great. Downsides-Vibrates fairly loudly, and is a little less comfortable (due to the strong suction) than the symphony (an FYI if you are extra sensitive), but you can adjust the levels. I just wish it saved the preferred suction level after the first 2 mins of warm up mode. Sometimes I forget to turn it up and will get a bit less milk in a session than I would otherwise. But not a massive difference luckily. However, it connects via Bluetooth to an app on your phone and saves your timings of your pumps (nice feature although not necessary), and you get 24/7 access to an LC for the first month through the app as well (which I think you do with all purchased medela pumps). Haven’t used this feature yet but planning to try it out later today as I have a few BF questions specific to my baby’s latching issues. My sister used the pump in style years ago and thought it worked well, but I agree it’s likely old and bulky and there are better pumps out there now. Overall, loving my freestyle flex. Pricey (500 bucks) but worth it for me since my baby is currently getting most of her milk via pumping while I’m still working at breastfeeding, so a good pump that met my needs was worth it for me. However if you’re just pumping to get “extra” milk a less expensive option is probably the way to go if price is an issue. Oh I also love that the flex has USB plug in to charge but is wireless otherwise. Then I can easily use it and/or charge it in the car if need be. Great for on the go (especially if you have family far away and do a lot of car trips, or perhaps need to pump if you are back to work). The hands free pumping bra is also a must. I generally only watch videos and take in the info but since this pump is so new and I haven’t seen a ton of reviews out yet I thought I would share (since I have something that might actually be useful to add to the convo). Have a great day, ladies!
I HATED my medela. I have large breast to begin with and when I’d get engorged it was so extremely painful. I had gotten the medela because at the time it was all the rage. Sadly after using it both at regular pumping times and times of engorgement there was ALWAYS pain. My nips felt like they were splitting in half I will NEVER use the medela pump again.
I love the time stamp on the app! And it will even show you a timelime of when/ how much you pumped, but the measurements are way off for me. Like, I'll pump 3 oz and it'll say 1.5. It's not a big deal though bc you can easily adjust it when you finish the session.
I disagree about the Medela still being a good pump. It’s the worst pump. I hated it. As an exclusive pumping mama, I can honestly say that if I stayed with the Medela I would have quit pumping altogether. The Spectra pump was the best and doubled my supply as soon as I switched to it👍🏻 and it also doesn’t tug on you.
Good video to watch while pumping 😁 I also had the medela with my first child didnt like it much because I was stuck at one place with it and it was bulky. Now I'm using ameda mya with my second one and I love it. It's so small does the same job as the other one. But it's so much more convenient to take to work and I dont have to worry about finding a place with a plug. I can charge it before and it lasts for two pumping sessions sometimes even more.
I have tried the Medela PISA(trash)Medela Sonota( ok), Ameda Finesse(total trash), Spectra 2( don’t believe the hype) and the Lansinoh. Now I’m currently using the Baby Buddah. It has a mean suction but totally worth every penny!!!! The Lansinoh was good too but, I simply needed more suction.
Spectra s9 is great for a small rechargeable pump that has a backflow protector. Con is that it is not super quiet. But great suction and otherwise amazing pump. Also the pieces are sold in target now so it is very convenient.
I got the Medela Symphony (hospital-grade pump) on loan from my hospital for free. Ask if it is an option for you. For me, it was needed , so luckily they set me up with one because I had no clue loaning a hospital-grade pump for free was even an option. I was also able to call and extend it out for another 3 months. I will call every 3 months until they say no. I got the Medela Pump in Style for free thru insurance and I bought the Elvie pump. Elvie does pump a bit less milk, so I use the Pump in Style for work. Returning the Elvie.
I also own the Ameda Mya (and am pumping while I watch your video lol). I LOVE its portability. I would agree it's the perfect middle ground pump. I pair mine with Freemie pump cups that fit inside my bra like the Elvie so I can pump while I drive. It's not super quiet so there's no way I could pump in the middle of a conference call but it's a very portable option which I love.
@@klaaho just make sure you get the closed system cups. When I bought mine it was around Black Friday so freemies website had them on sale. Probably do now for mother's day too. Way cheaper than buying on Amazon. It worked great for while getting ready in the morning, doing dishes at night or in the car to/from work but I wouldn't recommend it for exclusive pumping or as my main setup. It's just not as strong as a regular pump setup and I would always pump a few oz less when I would just use the freemies for an entire workday. I think using it full time would damage your supply but for me it was either a short pump session in the morning or use the freemies in the car for a half hour and it helped me maintain my supply. I'm working from home now and nursing my son still at 9 months but was going strong with pumping with using them during my morning commute and will pick it back up whenever I return to work.
@@mageenaoloughlin2420 thank you so much for the advice!!! So appreciate!! I see they are on sale 😁 One more question if you don't mind. You said you wouldn't use them as your primary pump, do you mean the Ameda Mya in general (like with it's original flanges ect) or the pairing with the cups?
@@klaaho I would definitely recommend the Ameda Mya with it's original flanges as a main pump. I'm actually using it that way right now lol. I just wouldnt recommend using it with the freemie cups for EVERY pump session. It's a super convenient combo but has less suction than the original flanges so when I have the time and privacy I use those.
@MsMillie221 I used the Medela freezer bags but I didn't pump directly into them if that's the advice you were looking for. They have worked great tho and being a working mom with a giant baby (always around 90th percentile height and weight) that's always drank the highest end of the avg ounces per day 've used used HUNDREDS of bags and never had a leak.
Because that’s how we all feel about breast pumps 😂 You either feel like a damn milk cow, or you have to buy expensive stuff that might not even pump the milk out.
Ahh I just realized my insurance did cover the Ameda Mya but I got the pump in style instead 😩. The medela is seriously a old technology. My husband is a mechanical engineer and he laughed when he saw it! He said they absolutely should NOT be that big.
I have a Spectra S1 that's marketed as hospital grade but, as someone with an undersupply, I felt it was nowhere near the power of the Symphony or Ameda Elite or Platinum that my hospital and LCs had. This time I'm going with an Ameda Mya because it's supposed to be a more powerful pump and I can use my Spectra backup parts. I almost went with a Motif Luna for the same reason but felt Ameda was better known in the US for LC support.
Hi! I have a question about the bottles on the Elvie pump. Do you have to transfer milk from the included bottle to a feeding bottle? How does that work?
I know the Medela Pump in style can often be free through insurance, but I figured I might as well spend some extra money on a pump I would actually like to use. Thanks for covering the Elvie because I was looking at it and my insurance will pay $100 towards buying one!
I am a medela Pisa fan. Mainly because five years ago when I was pumping with my first child it was the only pump that offered 21mm flanges. I was also able to get and aftermarket 19mm flange for that pump which was a game changer for me. I think they make smaller flanges for other pumps now but with my twins and my fourth child I just chose to stick with this brand pump since it was tried and true for me.
Limerick pjs comfort is a small Hospital grade pump. It’s amazing. It is not covered under insurance. It’s considered a medical device. The flanges are silicon it’s nice
I'm pumping and this video came up! Lol I have the Spectra 2 and Elvie. I love both but with the Elvie I get less. And sometimes it's not consistent ..
Yes, with the elvie double check that's all the pieces are on correctly.. if not ot leaks soo bad and u might not get suction. But I do love it when I'm chasing my 2 year old lol #2Under2
Hi! Are the silicone duckbill valves supposed to have small slits at the top? I noticed it after boiling which is what the manual states you should do before first use
Hey Susan, thanks for your video. You are very talented as a v-blogger. A quick question about Elvie: since it's not as strong-powered as other ones, will it decrease the milk supply? Will it be good enough for a FTM to build her milk supply from the beginning? Hope to hear from you soon!
I am wanting to use the Freemie Independence Mobile Hands Free Breast Pump. Has anyone tried this one or had experience with it? I'm in the beginning stages of researching the breast pump I want to use
I just started using the Mya and am so happy I picked it this time around (I had the pump in style with my first baby). My daughter was a preemie so I also have a hospital grade pump at the moment and I actually have a better output from the Mya then the pump I’m renting.
Is the hospital is using the Medela Symphony, the parts are interchangeable with the Medela swing which seems to be very similar to the Mya. If you already have parts for the Medela one that is
this is so HELPFUL susan! Thank you! My insurance only covers Medela and Ameda and looking at both in an instant, I wanna get the Ameda. But I have not done my research on it yet. Your review about it is in a nutshell and that's all I needed to hear/know. Like you said, there is no perfrct breast pump. What attracted me to this is the compact style and that it can be cordless, still has the different pump settings but straighforward. Not much to figure out and not bulky! Now I am more convince to get the Ameda, not Medela! I dont think there is anything wrong with Medela but it is definitely too bulky to take to work (since I plan to pump at work). I have a quick question though that I think you didnt get to mention or maybe I missed it. How is the sound of the Ameda pump? Is it loud or not too bad? Like is it something that I would probably not want to be on the phone while I am pumping kinda loud? Thank you!
Has anyone used the avent pump? I'm using one for 10 months and my supply remains the same throughout.. I'm getting 2oz each pump. And that's both boobs.. 🤷♀️
Usually if your milk supply doesn't increase it means the suction cup part is either too small or too big for your nipples. Changing it might make a big difference
i have medela pump in style double one and medela swing single one and i never could really feel comfortable using the pump in style, it feels very messy. I am sticking to the medela swing this time though pumping one at once takes more time still it is more realistic for me as i don't wanna buy another breastpump.
One of the biggest cons of the elvie pump is that you cant pump while its charging. I forget to plug it in often and realise the next time I go to pump that it's dead and either have to wait or use another pump. I do also have the tommee tippee electric pump which I really like especially since I use tommee tippee bottles for feeding although it is not as discrete as the elvie.
Is the ameda mya a closed system? Like the milk doesn't go into the tubes. I'm a first time mom and idk if that's standard on all pumps or just some pumps have it.
Susan you have been killing it in the sweater game lately (the pink one has been my favorite!)
Seriously, where does she get her sweaters??

Super helpful!! First time mom here and I'm still looking at pumps 😂 but this was Def helpful. You are so easy to follow and watch ❤️.
Does she answer all her own questions? Yes she does!
I loved my Spectra pump. It's very popular for exclusively pumping mothers. Plus Pumpin Pals flanges are great! It's soft silicone and I got more milk using that.
after so much stressful searching for a breast pump that my insurance covers I had a hard time finding the right choice but this video helps!!! A LOT
Great video! Just throwing this out there, "hospital grade" is a term thrown around quite a bit. Hospital grade has nothing to do with suction (and therefore output). "Hospital Grade" only refers to backflow protection!
I thought hospital grade hv to hv piston in it?
I swear by the Spectra S1 :) It's rechargable and lasts a while, kind of the same idea as your ameda mya, but with a bigger center console, still mobile though! I LOVE IT!!!
The lactation team at my hospital provided Medela to me and lent it for one week before my Spectra S2 breast pump arrived. So I had experience with both. Both of them work great. Recommended for all. Very easy to use and has great suction. No complain.
Why does the Elvie cost so much if it can't even pump that much milk to begin with?! LOL
I had a great experience with my Spectra S1. Super quiet and efficient and a closed system, so hygienic! Also I found the suction way more comfortable than the Medelas I've used, but I also got more with Spectra! The S1 and S2s are also the preferred pump for most people in my bf support group.
Willow is great for me and my lifestyle! Got the same amount as the hospital pump we rented. It comes with bags so it can be completely enclosed.
I also have the willow it’s so amazing I had the instyle first and I hated that thing. But i splurged and got a willow best decision ever
Willow pump was one of the best decisions I made!! But I want to try another pump to see if my supply is higher with a different shaped pump
How do you like the lansinoh?
Im trying to concentrate on all the amazing information but omg you are such a stunning mama, and your style is SO fun and happy!!!
I have been using the Spectra 9 plus for 17 months. While it's not perfect, its so helpful when i don't have access to an outlet at work or in the car.
My insurance is actually covering part of the Elvie! Still the upgrade fee is 325 but it helps!
Navyl I wasn’t sure if insurance was covering this wonderful device. I’m so glad to find out at least partly! I hope you enjoy it!!
That’s good to know!
SPECTRA S1 was my absolute favorite! Best pump in my opinion 😁
great video!
I have the ameda mya and I LOVE it. That being said this is my first baby and the only bump I have used other than the medela hospital pump. That thing was a monster lol
Please with lokasan
Please give me you shop nunbar
The Elvie pump will stop once the bottle is full. They are individual so putting it on when you are feeding on the other breast helps produce your milk. I only have one so it’s half price to the price quoted. Love it!
Oh that’s good to know!! I’m a flight attendant, so I need the flexibility it gives.
Have u? Does it work
How do you think madela Freestyle would compare to the Ameda Mya? They look very similar and the main machine appears to be similar in size as well.
I.m using the new madela freestyle also i love it
I love my spectra pump. I tried 10 different pumps and the spectra pumps are the best.
Have u tried the mom cost S12
Your reviews are so awesome!! I appreciate you so much!
Im so happy you talked about that medela pump. Hated it. I am thinking about buying another one for the next baby
This is one of the most informative videos on breast pumps - Thank you so much!!! :)
This was very informative, thank you Susan...you made my life easier 😅
This is such a thorough and helpful video!!! Thank you sooo much!!
Ty Susan for all of these recommendations and tips!
Larissa Greendahl whats the difference? which one is better?
I heard the Elvie app shows you how many ounces you pulled or even the time frame you were pumping?!!
Taiji V the app does however it’s not accurate most of the time but you can manually change the ounces to make it correct.
it is bluetooth connected and measures close
I’m 20 weeks with baby #2. I have the Medela and I am so looking forward to trying a different brand. Medela is loud and heavy.
I loved my Elvie so much and it really saved me, so easy to use and take on the go.
It’s stops once the bottle is full it won’t overflow thanks for this review very helpful!
Hey! This idea sounds so smart, how is it working for you? Was there anything special you needed to do to pair the Mya with the cups?
Try the Spectra 9, perfect for travel, or work!
about halfway through and this is such a great and informative video! thanks for making these videos! :D
These reviews and opinions are all over the place. “Is it my favorite, yes... do I like it, no.” 🤨
Because that’s how we all feel about breast pumps 😂 You either feel like a damn milk cow, or you have to buy expensive stuff that might not even pump the milk out.
She never said that about either so ummm yea
Ahh I just realized my insurance did cover the Ameda Mya but I got the pump in style instead 😩. The medela is seriously a old technology. My husband is a mechanical engineer and he laughed when he saw it! He said they absolutely should NOT be that big.
Just cats Ugh! That’s what happened to me the first time. I chose the medela because it seemed to have the best reviews. 🤦🏻♀️
I did the same and went by what had the most positive reviews.
The Medela is too big and loud IMO.
Thanks for covering the Elvie because I was looking at it and my insurance will pay $100 towards buying one!
thank you so much for sharing this info even about the tmi details - very helpful! I'm one of those people who wants to know everything!
Had the lansinoh signature pro and it was the best thing I've ever purchased. It had so many different settings and really pumped out a lot milk.
I don’t understand the statement about having to go to another room to pump with the In Style. Wouldn’t you have to do that with any standard pump??
Just curious what’s the brand of this blue yellow sweater? It looks awesome!!!
I guess she never replied??
Spectra S1 and S9 are pretty popular among my bf friends! They are what I use too! Good experience with both.
What is the difference between the s1 and s9?
Limerick pjs comfort is a small
Hospital grade pump. It’s amazing. It is not covered under insurance. It’s considered a medical device. The flanges are silicon it’s nice
Helen Hines check out lactation connection. That’s where I buy any parts for a third of the price. Have to type in limerick in the search bar
I'm pumping and this video came up! Lol
I have the Spectra 2 and Elvie. I love both but with the Elvie I get less. And sometimes it's not consistent ..
Yes, with the elvie double check that's all the pieces are on correctly.. if not ot leaks soo bad and u might not get suction.
But I do love it when I'm chasing my 2 year old lol
#2Under2
Have you reviewed BabyBuddha pump?
i have medela pump in style double one and medela swing single one and i never could really feel comfortable using the pump in style, it feels very messy. I am sticking to the medela swing this time though pumping one at once takes more time still it is more realistic for me as i don't wanna buy another breastpump.
I bought the Medela Pump Style. I thought was ok, im thinking of returning it.😕
Thank you! This video was so helpful.
I'm curious about the suction on the ameda mya, is the suction the same? Or is it stronger on the medela?
My insurance provider gives me a free pump at week 28. Now I can't wait to see which brand they offer.
Is the ameda Mya covered by most insurances? Anyone know?
@Helen Hines thank you! Very helpful!
It’s covered by mine according to aeroflow website
One of the biggest cons of the elvie pump is that you cant pump while its charging. I forget to plug it in often and realise the next time I go to pump that it's dead and either have to wait or use another pump. I do also have the tommee tippee electric pump which I really like especially since I use tommee tippee bottles for feeding although it is not as discrete as the elvie.
Watching this in 2023 and I got my elvie through my insurance and I think it was like a $60 upgrade with my current insurance ♥️
Is the ameda mya a closed system? Like the milk doesn't go into the tubes. I'm a first time mom and idk if that's standard on all pumps or just some pumps have it.
Yes it is!
How does the Ameda mya compare to spectra s1?
Have you tried the BabyBuddha?
I need a video on how did you lose your pregnancy weight!!
