At 36 years old you are far from a "boomer." When used properly the term Boomer refers to someone born during the baby boom generation which ended in 1964. Then came Generation X. After the Gen Xers then there you are. A MILLENNIAL! Which runs until 1996. If you are born in after 1981 until 1996 you are a millennial. After that then Gen Z and now Gen Alpha.
I love the fact that BOTH of the big Morrowind expansions give you moments of like... "Oh, that's just... trees. Green leaves. Blue sky." And you feel, like, refreshed, after your time on Vvardenfell. It really adds a note beyond just regular gameplay that you WERE an outlander when you got off the boat in Seyda Neen. Fuck, this game is so good.
Same here! I find the setting and lore fascinating. However, I don't necessarily know how well I would handle its particular idiosyncrasies and game mechanics.
35:12 I didn't know that Queen Barenziah made an appearance in "TES: Morrowind". If I had the opportunity to speak candidly with her, I would curse her tastes in regal headgear.
The constant dark brotherhood attacks remind me of the random vampire attacks in cities in skyrim from the dawnguard dlc. It was way worse there though, since they'd always end up killing npcs in town which forced to always speed run the dlc to stop the attacks
110%, nothing like getting hard-locked out of Clavicus' Daedric quest because the blacksmith in Falkreath, who was meant to tell you about Barbas, decided to fight a bloody Volkihar Vampire and proceeds to die instantly Fun times in Falkreath!
@@vivecald-vehk6978 l hear that there's a Skyrim mod called "Run for Your Life", which prompts all villagers to flee whenever a violent encounter occurs.
As for the "Sore Spot" for players with the DLC. It was an expansion pack you had to go out and physically purchase at a store back in 2002 or 2003 whenever it came out. At this point you already had and likely had finished the base game. The devs were not thinking ahead over 20 years to the age of DLC and the fact it would be installed before even starting the game. Simple solution. Don't install the expansion until you are finished with the main game.
Very true! For my case, I wanted to go in blind on everything, so I didn’t know about it and nobody could warn me because they didn’t know I was doing it this way! 😂 definitely a funny scenario to be in, but tbh, I liked the early game armor and gold 😂
As soon as I saw the first Dark Brotherhood assassin in your main quest playthrough I wanted to tell you not to install the Tribunal expansion until you're done with the base game, for all the reasons you mentioned. But by then it was too late.
I just finished a playthrough of the Tribunal expansion! My main gripe with it is how enclosed it is compared to Vvardenfell, but I like the rest of it personally. Excellent
That’s very fair! So far I really like the city of Mournhold, but, if all the action takes place under the city, I’m going to be a liiiiiittttlle bit disappointed 😂
great to see you continuing this games story, this story dlc can be a bit rough because all of the enemies are scaled to the level where Bethesda thought players would be at this point, which is high levels, so the enemies in the tribunal dlc can be very tanky and hit hard, like the goblins in the sewers under the main city that can one shot you at lower levels
I’m glad to be continuing it too! Ahhh that makes sense! Yeah some of them are really tricky tbh 😂 I’m shocked with the skill diff of goblins in Morrowind and oblivion!
@@ABardsBallad Seems like you are at a sweet spot when it comes to level, gear and ability for Tribunal. You progress well but have to put in some effort on the harder fights.
Likewise! Morrowind's deep lore and (allegedly) steep learning curve definitely scared me away from trying it out "blind". Still, the unique setting and amazing world-building have leant this installment of "The Elder Scrolls" an aura of mystery and allure all its own.
Haha I love it and thanks for the support! So far it’s been a lot of fun! I really like Mournhold! Probably may favourite place in the whole game rn tbh!
Don't know if someone said this but; the Dark Brotherhood assassin was supposed to spawn starting level six and only once. This is patched, I think and I hope, cause I don't have it happen more then once on Xbox series S when playing with gamepass. There was an oversight while implementing the DLC in the game. The DLC is also supposed to be "late game content" since it's a higher difficulty with higher level enemies but its very easy to cheese 😂
the dark brother hood attacks werent meant to happen until level 6 but a glitch in the pc version version of morrowind made them spawn earlier and was never fixed but the xbox version was not bugged so they spawn at the right time
I don't know much about the practicalities of "Morrowind's" gameplay, but several people have told me that the Dark Brotherhood assassins, though annoying, offer players a means of acquiring great gear in the game's early stages.
I believe the dark brotherhood only comes after you once you reach level 7, because any time I want to rush the tribunal dlc for the awesome weapons and armor, I rest constantly trying to get brotherhood to spawn, and they never spawn until level 7 after which they spawn constantly. At least thats my experience.
Both expansions more polished when you have Tamriel Rebuilt installed. They fixed a LOT of geology inconsistencies, as well as accurately portray the size and detail of the World Towers. For away by a few hundred meters means nothing but up close, scale down the setting if you legit care for your vid card!
@@ABardsBallad Lore wise I want to create a character that has strong affinities for dark cultist hunting, nature-oriented magic like alchemy, and guerrilla fighting
As good as the city life in Mournhold is. Not having an exterior for the quests to be set in... and just having sewers.. its a meh experience. Good job for making it sound all the more intriguing, I mean the story bits are solid.. but the fetchquest style gameplay is bad xD
As a 36 year old boomer, I salute you playing Morrowind. Her Hands armor is the best and most beautiful in the entire game.
😂 I salute you back 🫡 I’m excited to be playing through this DLC! I don’t think I’ve laid eyes on the armor set yet but I’m excited to see it!

For real! It felt really nice to get off of Vvardenfell and go to a brand new different location!!
While Bloodmoon is a better expansion overall, I love Tribunal as the final conclusion to the Main Quest story. So glad you're continuing with it
I’m glad to be continuing it too! I’m excited to see how it ends and then move on to Bloodmoon next!
The amount of research and effort. You should have 10x times the subscribers

This amount of Dark Brotherhood casualties is only half the story.
If you do the Morag Tong questline, you actually get to kill the Night Mother.

You should get a charm spell instead of having to bribe everyone. 1 s duration should be enough like in Oblivion.

Part of what you did here is WHY the dark brotherhood has so few members in later editions
