Thanks Alan Yeah that would have been a a p¿$$€r, Years ago when I was running my scrapyard, someone actually scrapped a mercedes clk 320 on the understanding they had from there "mechanic" that the headgasket was away . They put it in for a service , mechanic was like "uhhh, your head gaskets away, uhhh uhhh look at the oil lid" . Personally i think mechanic was only saying that to potentially get work or completely incompetent. His customer just told him to leave it and decided to scrap it with us . Usual rigmarole when I took a scrap car in , was test all the components. Make a list of what works and what doesn't, I performed a pressure test on the engine as it sounded superb, there was hee haw wrong with it. Just the coffee colored condensation on the lid. So it was set to be upcycled as apposed to recycled . Long story short , I got a life customer from that. As I phoned him to tell him the news. And told him if he would like to buy the car from me when I serviced and moted it . He bought it back and has owned about 6 cars since over the years and comes to me any time anything needs done . It's was examples like this that prompted me to shut the yard down and just focus on the garage side in 2021. Stay lucky , stay safe 🙏 Taz 💪🤠👌
Funnily enough , I was in lanzarote last year, they where everywhere , we stayed in Playa blanca, about 4 days of good weather in 2 weeks . Mega stormy . Are you from Lanzarote sanchez?
