I purchase a storage unit with around 300 all rock and roll and after that I bought a huge collection, over 2000 of lps! Just starting to post them all, and yes prices vary a lot, I use Discogs
Thanks for asking. Last stands for liquid archival sound treatment. It is a preservative that is put on the vinyl, sinks into the vinyl and protects it. Whoever owned the albums before you just put the sticker on the album cover or label to show that it was treated. I do not think it increases the value.
OK so I got that look for scratches but I was looking for more information like do you actually look at the record itself the vinyl on the outside with a magnifying glass type of thing and see what pressing it is or you didn’t say how to figure out what pressing it was he just said that one was in Japan obviously if it’s in Japanese then you can tell but I didn’t I don’t know how to do that so he didn’t really say specifically how to do that so that’s why I came to see more detailed information about making sure that I can tell which ones I have like you said the Beatles white album can you be more specific on how to tell if it’s the more rare one or the one that’s more expensive??
Thanks for watching. Pressings are tricky. An album can have as many as 10 or more pressing. My best advice is go to discogs and type in the album number.
I resell cd’s and keep running into records at yard sales and don’t know anything about them. What tools would you give a beginner when trying to find values of records quickly?
Thanks for asking and thanks for watching. I always try to buy in bulk. I try to make sure the albums are in good condition. I look them up on ebay completed listings. You can also use the site, discogs.
How much value is lost when the label or the record or both have names written on them? I have a few that i tagged when i was younger, and many more that i accumulated from other folks. Some will have names on the back of the jacket, and some on the corner of the insert. How much does writing diminish the value? If i had a nearly perfect record, sleeve and Jacket, say Tapestry by Carole King, but i wrote my name in the liner, or the label, how much did i diminish the value? I'm kind of bummin' here. I had many more records in the past, America, Michael Murphey, had a HiFi Meet the Beatles get disappeared, all gone now.
I see that often. It's unfortunate. It does affect the value in a negative way. How much? It's hard to say. When listing the album, make sure you disclose it and take pictures of the writing. That way the buyer will know exactly what they are getting. By the way, unfortunately, the Tapestry album is not worth much. Too many of them out there. Great album, though.
I have about seven(7) Beatles albums, three(3) Jim reeves, two(2) kiss and a few nice records, like how much are they worth cos I would like to sell them.
Thanks for watching. The gym reads records are worth nothing. Depends which Beatles you have and which KISS you have. Also depends on condition. Just do a sold item search for each album on eBay. Good luck.
Actually, I put it on auction and it sold for $132. I was very disappointed it didn't sell for more. I had 19 watches. But, that's sometimes what happens when you put something on auction.
You got a once in a decade find. Finding Lps from Japan is tough. Also the master recording lps are hard to find. Sounds like you know what you are doing. I use Goldmine for record grades and put it in the listing.
Hi I'm Pete from the UK just seen your vid wow great stuff there. I've been selling my own collection of records on ebay for a few years as I use to buy load in the 70's then was a DJ for many years. I have a a couple of those CSN albums I will did them out. Is there a follow up to this vlog on what sold? Jus one final thing I have found that a record might not be worth much like today but a 2 or3 years later could be worth great ca$h. Thanks for the info very useful.
Pete. Thanks for watching. I have sold most of them. The highest price I got was $195 for one of them. I have shown in sale videos some of the ones I've sold. You'll just have to check out my videos. Thanks for watching.
yo whole selling records is a faster way to get money if u bought them for dirt cheap , sometimes its good just to get rid of stuff besides waiting to get the top value
You're not telling me how to sell, you're telling me how well you did.
Great score! Amazing LP's. The Blue Nile is an excellent Scottish band from early 80's BTW, big fan here. Thanks for the excellent content.
Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it.
how much did you pay for the 1800 cd's and 200 records?

I use discogs, but never seem to get as much as they suggest.
do you like discogs? ebay fees are brutal
Wow, you hit the record jackpot at that sale! Congrats!
So what is the secret we are still waiting
I very highly recommend buying the standard catalogue of american records! It's a huge help in determining value of records
Thanks for the advice. I will check it out.
Just bought a huge box of classic rock albums. Many of the records have a “LAST” sticker on the label. How does this affect the value?

@@therefinedreseller275 but does the sticker being on the record label Decrease the value

Not so much sharing a secret of how to sell albums but more a find that I've never had the luck to run into & probably never will.
Thanks for watching. Sometimes you get lucky.
That brown CS&N album is worth maybe $300+! WOW!!!

Thanks for watching. Sales on the album lot are over $1000 and I have about 40 left. I'll check out Goldmine.

A guy could hunt for records his entire life and not find a collection like that.
Thanks for watching.
Vinyl from Japan and Germany blow US vinyl out of the water. Japan and Germany are all about quality. The US is all about quantity.
True. Thanks for watching.
