    3:57 this is what I came here for! I currently have an auction going for an item that got sold elsewhere, and I wasn’t sure if I could end the auction. I hate to disappoint people but I don’t have the item to sell anymore

      Was it less than 12hrs left on the auction ? If so how much was the fee

    Great, straightforward, to-the-point advice on this channel.

    It’s better to add a reserve price, but there’s a non-refundable fee. Also, with the “Buy it now” option, you can negotiate and send offers to watchers.

      Thanks for watching. I don't do a reserve price when I do an auction. I start the auction at the lowest price I am willing to accept.

    The worst things buyers do is bid early. Waiting the last minute keeps the cost down. Sellers waste their time if they have a reserve not met. If you want 450 for an item just sell it for that. If you want more then that then sell for more then watch it sit there for a while till that right buyer will buy it. This will keep going on over and over again. Sellers hope that by fooling buyers that they will bid over the buy it now price. To tell you the truth I may watch an item so that it doesn’t get buried in my recently viewed items but I search the internet everywhere for that same item. The number 1 mistake sellers do is follow other sellers on the internet net. If they see items selling for 50 they all sell around 50 why? They don’t have a clue. Most items may not even be worth 50 in value. If you want to sell your items sell below that’s how you make money. Keep turning that product into cash not holding onto it like 500 people do. I won’t touch a bid over the asking price. This new generation has a new meaning of OBO. We know obo as if someone said 100 we offer 90. Nope! It’s I’ll take offers over 100. These new sellers won’t even respond to a lower offer. I recently discovered this. Beware of new sellers on eBay and pay close attention to their description or profile. Pay close attention to wording.

    I don’t know I haven’t watched all your videos just figured it would be more informative to ask a more specific question so here goes if I was listening for buy it now I get that I can get more money out of it but how much longer am I gonna have to wait is there a way to tell how frequent an item has been selling within that 90 days so like if I listen to something an auction it’s guaranteed to sell. I’m guaranteed to get paid quicker so I could buy another item to sell to make more money or I could buy it now end up waiting for the seller a lot longer or possibly not at all but would say it does sell but it takes 3×4×5 times longer for the item to actually sell so that’s a lot of time or screwed myself over when I could’ve been buying some thing else to make more profit

      First, there is no guarantee an auction item will sell. A lot of times it does not and you have to list it over and over again. If you want to see how many of the item have sold, just do a search on eBay and do sold items.

      @@therefinedreseller275 is there a way I can possibly quickly tell if a particular item has recently sold with the last 90 days or within a week or something like that to see how many to make sure the item still selling consistently do you like a tab? I can click on her or anything like that or in any way to check on that and for like the average price or is that is that just like a median due diligence what is the information available as what I was getting at us by the way thank you for your reply, I appreciate it

    Hello.
    Thanks for your videos,I need your advice. I am a beginner in terms of buying by auction. I am interested in something that is on the other side of the globe and the shipping cost would be very high. Could I request that the delivery be to another address of a friend who lives in a closer country? How do I do it if he is in an auction? I have no idea. Thank you very much in advance

    • @therefinedreseller275
      @therefinedreseller275  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for asking. I do not buy anything from foreign countries. I think the shipping is just too iffy. It's not a good idea to have your address as the delivery address, then send a message asking the seller to send it to a different address. eBay will catch that so, the buyer probably will not do it.

    Putting a reserve price can be costly right? I have bid on items with a reserve price before but haven't seen any lately at all, at least not the stuff that I'm interested in buying anyway. I will take your advice on my first auction. I have a rare 17" Meinel Amun cymbal that I will start an auction at a price I'm ok with accepting and see what happens. Thanks for the tips, liked and subbed the channel to learn more.

      Yes!!! It just happened to me. Cost me 250 dollars. I had no idea and tuned on the reserve option, it snatched my money so quick I was shocked! I’m glad it’s there but I’ll never do that again.
