the error come ones you turnd on the camera ? thats not happent to me . the error come only ones you try to click to record video , all menu are function till then .

Happened to me too! And my camera was sitting unused for over 2 years!! Clearly, the problem was that the manual shutter was sticking because of not being used for a while. I have no idea why though?? Perhaps the dust and moisture in time would act like a glue or some sort thereby jamming the mechanism. Anyway, in order to fix it, it just simply needed to be nudged back again physically. Switching to electronic shutter would not work since you will still have the problem if you switch back to manual shutters. Gently tapping it sideways left and right should help. Doing a Pixel Refresh will help too since it also operates the shutters. Anything that triggers the manual shutters like repeatedly taking pictures (turning it off and on) is the best way.
its work for me as i use it for video .alot less for photos .i got no other way ,and i try them all .

I have the same issue on my Panasonic S1. The popup still shows up even after setting the camera to electronic shutter.

SOLVED. Just want to share my fix, hope will help someone with the same problem. I had the same error message, tried different things to resolve the problem but didn’t work. Then, I found out that the HDMI port had two pins detached and they were touching each other. I am assuming that this created a little short circuit and causing the error message. By carefully moving those two pins using a tiny screwdriver the problem was resolved. now I’m able to use the mechanical shutter normally. (I was using the electronic shutter as a workaround method.) Happy snapping photos 😀🙏
You know what ? my hdmi port on this camera are damage for long time .so it may be that after yours been fix , my camera are have that problem as the hdmi port is damage ? thas a point to think off :-) thank you so much !!!
SOLVED - Yes this worked for me to. Bent the HDMI pins back towards the centre locator and away form the outer metal housing and away from each other. And the mechanical shutter now works. Thanks so much for this suggestion. See also my comment on

THIS fixed mine in a couple of minutes. I moved the pins that were touching the border of the hdmi port (I don't know why were they like that, I bought the camera second hand), and the mechanical shutter worked!! Thanks a lot!
I have a GMC - DM1 Lumix and have the same problem, I tried some of the hacks (turn on and off again several times) but it didn't help. When I remove lens the shutter is open, I cannot take pictures while lens is removed. My camera is from 2017 (so not very old)
i found out the only down side of this fix is that you canot use the flash when u use electronic shutter ,dont know why ,someone bring it to my attantion ,but as i say in one of my replay , i dont use it for photos so i care less about it .

Hi, fellows. The same problem with my GF7 when shooting longer than 1 second shutter time. I tried to solve this problem many ways and here is what helped me:
(strange thing was that in the daylight the camera worked fine but in the dark - when you often use the long exposure - rised the error)
I made this sequence :
1) set the shutter type to EFC - didn't help
2) set Drive Mode to Burst and take pictures for few seconds (shutter speed 1/10s) - didn't help
3) turn off Noise Reduction - didn't help
4) set AF/AE Lock to AF-ON
...and the camera started working OK
I returned the settings back to [shutter - AUTO, DriveMode - Single, NoiseReduction - ON, AF/AE Lock - AF/AE LOCK]
and the camera still works well.

For me its did fix the problem and i use the camera from the time of this video ,no problem , the only thing i found out , is that the flash will not work when take photos , but as i comment on this video b4 , i use this camera only for video and alot less for photos , i will keep looking for another way to fix it and keep you update :-)
