Local foodies will remember the iconic Melt Cafe, and with the recent transformation (completed last quarter 2023) of the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, the popular buffet destination has been elevated and re-imagined to become embu.
Taking inspiration from the Tembusu, one of Singapore's distinctive heritage trees, embu superbly uses greenery - both decorative and real - to transport diners to a culinary experience in a botanical-themed sanctuary.
The lush dining spaces pinwheel around an iconic tree-like structure, whilst the statement Peranakan black-and-white tiles affirm the nod to Singapore's rich heritage.
11 culinary stations are available and include fresh seafood, Japanese, European and South East Asian delights and local specialities. Favourites (which can not be missed!) are the freshly-shucked oysters, a luxe rendition of laksa and the barbecued meats. It truly is an Instagram-worthy surrounding with delicious dishes that every foodie near and far need to experience and savour!

Tried this for lunch and it was an incredible experience. Spread is imaginative, wide and beautifully curated. You need to fast a full day to take full advantage of this buffet! Well called!

Shout Out to Roger Morier at the MO-SIN who looked after us two days ago when we went to eat. If you’re in Singapore you’d be Mad Not to attend and have Top Class Healthy food for SGD88++ backed by Amazing service from genuinely enthusiastic staff.
