One of the very TH-camrs that actually use the release correctly. And explain things well. I know so many that think they are getting it done punching the release and doing this in the wind. It won't work folks.
There will be a short distance (around 8 yards for me) that very closely replicates a 20 yard mark, very useful for quick check and testing release adjustments and shooting warm up (if your practice bale is on the small side !)
If the windage is on at 20 and running off as you move out, you want to move the rest (or potentially check the bubble 1st, 2nd axis, for my shooting I had to take the bubble out, IFAA does not approve of bubble in Bowhunter ?!) ! Not the sight ! French/Walk Back tuning !
I’ve used the H5 react the last 2 seasons. Last season I moved it from one bow to another, had it specifically tuned by a professional, and ensured my FPS was meeting the minimum standard for the sight. You will never, ever get it accurate. You can get 20 and 30 as accurate as you want, but with the react technology the further down the sight you go, the more off you will get. My 20 and 30 were spot on, when you get down to 60 it was 6 inches off. I’ve since gotten rid of the H5React.
Love this video , just being new to archery I need all the tips i can get and videos like this where they get straight to it is great. What bow is that you're using ?
I don't know if anyone has ever told you this, but you bury the strong pretty hard in your face. Especially with higher letoff percentages, this can make a big difference in consistency with tuning and arrow flight, and ultimately accuracy. I'm all for a good, repeatable anchor point, and I'm not saying you're wrong for doing this. But you might be surprised what a difference it could make to not have the string on your face.
Bass pro and Cabela's make a 5 pin Blackout sight with the React technology. It is basically the same sight as the regular TR React 5 for around $50 less
This may be a silly question as the react technology is set to yards yet we shoot meters in Australia am I able to set the up for shooting meters rather than yards? This may be a silly question
Brendan, the react technology does not know the difference in yards or meters so it will work as long as your shooting faster than 250 fps. You will need to make sure that you set your top pin and then using the react system.
@raisedoutdoors7295 isn't this react system based off trajectory? If you zero at 30 yards 40 and 50 yard pins move. So that's just following a curve based on the math of trajectory at known distances. If the known distance is measured in yards it would work for yards but be off in meters. 20 yards is something like 18 meters. 30 yards is 25 meters. 40 yards is 36 meters. 50 yards is 45 meters.
That slightly depends on opinion. I prefer 3/16 as it is slightly smaller which will make you more accurate but it also allows enough light to see your pins clearly. 1/4 may be a better option if you are a new archer as it will allow more light and not so finicky when it comes to getting it aligned!
I liked this sight for the most part. My only problem was I could never get every pin to be perfect. I sort of had to choose if I wanted my 30 yard to be spot on or my 50 yard to be spot on and 30 to be a little off.
You move your whole sight housing which throws off your peep and sight aliignment which efffects head position then you adjust pins??? Should be once sight and peep arre aliigned just move pins.
I am by no means an English major. And I honestly understand that this really doesn’t matter. But one of my biggest pet peeves is when people say “heighTH.” I am a machinist and most machinist I know say it too. I think it just comes from dimensional speak when its counterpart is “widTH.” But, for some reason my brain short circuits when I hear heighTH and not heighT. I also never correct anyone in person, because honestly, the only correct response to me would be “you know what the F I’m saying/meant.” Lmao, don’t listen to me.
Are you Right handed or left handed? If you are shooting right handed I'd bet you are left eye dominant. If you are shooting left handed I bet you are Right eye dominant!
This is the best info video on sighting in this system I've seen. Thanks

Thanks Tim! I think along with your grip, activating your release properly is one of the most important aspects in making yourself an accurate archer!

I have a dovetail 5 pin React from 2005 ish, still better than I am !
It has developed a little backlash in the threads in 20 years, but I can eventually get it set !

I just picked up the H5, which is one step down from the Pro model. This is a good vid on how to sight in.
Awesome Chad, I bet you will love it! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the review, thinking about about trying this sight
Its a great sight! If you have any other questions, let us know we are happy to help!

What does the react system do and how does it work ?

Sorry for bothing u ....what those meter line on the side of the site is those for to adjust the pin or wat
Teng, your not bothering us! Yes those tick marks are so you know exactly how much you have adjusted the sight.
O..ok..thanks

In new to archery, what size of peep size is best paired with it? sorry bad english!

I bought a used bow the other day and it has this sight on it
You will love it, great sight!

Interesting we haven't run in to that issue yet. Did you make sure you got your 20 set using the housing first?
I haven’t had this issue either and I run this sight
You move your whole sight housing which throws off your peep and sight aliignment which efffects head position then you adjust pins??? Should be once sight and peep arre aliigned just move pins.
What bow are you shooting?
The Bear Archery Redemption!
I tried this sight. Flat hated it. Took it off and put an axcel on it
What release is this?
Is this guy a pro?
what are the feet per second my bow needs to be??
As long as your bow is 250 fps or faster it will work.

How the hell do u shoot with both eyes open i tried this after watching this video, I had to bury the neighbours cat in my garden .
