- If you’re about to make your first cake there’s a LOT to think about but with these 10 tips I hope to make the process easier and more enjoyable! If I don't answer all of your questions please ask them in the comments!
In this cake decorating tutorial I share 10 hacks for decorating cakes like a pro, used by professional cake decorators to make cakes look and taste amazing! I opened and ran my own cake shop and have managed several others and these are tricks I've picked up along the way. I hope you find them useful!

Awesome. That's encouraging. Just decided to get back to baking and learn more.
I just got finished baking and decorating 2 cakes, 2 dozen cookies, and a whole bunch of mini cupcakes. Now I understand why people charge like they do. It takes a lot of time, product and cleanup to get all of this work done. The time and energy put into this art deserves a lot of credit to those who do this for a living. It's a labor of love and artistic ability that deserves respect. Thankyou for your tutorials.

This is WAY more beginner than I was looking for. Despite that, I really appreciate seeing a video that's truly for beginners. It's easy to forget that some people are truly starting from scratch, and might not have anyone to have taught them these beginner steps. I still watched the whole video and must admit I learned a couple of small things I didn't know. Great video.

I like to wrap my cakes in plastic wrap after I remove them from the pan. Then place them in the freezer it locks moisture in and makes them easy to handle.
before freezing do u add sugar syrup also dear

Please how do you make pure white buttercream? Mine always comes out pale yellow at best. I tried adding purple colour as I saw on Google but it turned out light peach in colour.

Hi! For swirls on top of the cake you can use any star-shaped tip. I like Wilton's 1M and 2D tips.

Hi! Instead of storing the cake in the fridge for 2-4 hours, could you store it for 12-18 hours? And if you store it for that long in the fridge, can you leave it uncovered? Or does it need to be stored in a box to avoid crusting or any other issues to the frosting? Thank you!
