That's freakin awesome Trent! Love that starlink is that stable for you. I have a question so does the starlink move while your connected to find better satellites? Also its great you still use "Slarxy" as your gaming name
Once the dish positions the first time it doesn't actually move it stays stationary. It works because it's a super high tech "phased array antenna" and it electronically aims the beam at the satellites switching satellites every minute or so as they zoom overhead at 17,500 mph.
Oh, that is so funny I bust out laughing. The beginning of the video was awesome with the desk in the chair on the mountain with the Starlink antenna. I’m not in the game in at all although I would love to do Microsoft flight Sim cause I’m a pilot last time I played with that was 1998. I bet it’s changed since then anyway, I was just a great video opening. Great job!
How long can you game on that power station with just the laptop plugged in? And how much power does the Starlink pull? I'm thinking about traveling in my prius for a bit, but still want to be able to use my gaming laptop at night.
@@chrisrichfield8906 So basically if you have a power station that holds 2000 watts for example since your laptop takes 180 watts per hour you’ll be able to play the laptop for 11 hours without recharging, and possibly slightly longer if you have a solar panel plugged in. (Math: Since the laptop is 19.5V and 9.23 amp you multiply the Volt and amps to get how many watts per hour your device takes. Volt x Amp = Watt Hours. Also if you get a power station, when you plug it in it will show you how many hours it will be able to power that device, so keep In mind how much power you need. Im not too great at explaining things and made this comment pretty long😅 but hope I answered your question!
Star link is somewhat new to us up in canada, and I recently moved to a rural area in alberta canada. The only internet available at the time was shitty tower/dish based internet that was expensive. After suffering through that for a bit, I got tired of either me gaming or my other half watching a movie and not both. I heard about star link and was sold. ordered it and havent looked back. Works very well for gaming. Only crappy part is when bad weather comes in. Slows it down, but is still very useable! Love it!

Did u figure Anything out about the Internet cable
I wondered about this. Hopefully I'll eventually be able to get my campervan and wanted to be able to connect to internet anywhere. When I saw they were adding this ability to Starlink I was so excited! Love to see that it works.
Now it is going to be possible to get mauled by a mountain lion while gaming. Every gamers dream! This is awesome lol.
Hahaha, great video Trent! Love the vibe! I hope you enjoyed making the video as much as I think you did, because I really enjoyed watching it XD.
Taking "Go play outside" on a new level
You just confirmed - the Game is changed ✅️
Another fantastic video sir!
Legit living vicariously through your channel. Amazing view there. Can't wait to get my kids out on adventures like this when they can talk words beyond gibberish hah.
Just imagine what it will be like with starlink 2.0 and having around 40.000 more satellites 🤯
40 thousand or 40.000???
I don't want a WallE sattelite situation though pls
@@brickitect420 starlinks will be deorbited when their time is up so it's fine
@@Pico_444 And where does the deorbited satellite goes?
@@starksuman Nowhere. They are small enough to be burnt up in the atmosphere.
As a homebody who always games at home , this looks soo fun! I need to try this on my own one day 😤🎈 keep up the great content as usual Trent!
You have a great life there, my friend. Enjoy every moment!
thats amazing dude, i wish that we could do this in brazil, but sadly its kinda dangerous to live in a van here! Thanks GOD you produce this amazing content so at least i can ''travel'' with you! Cant wait for your next videos, big hug from brazil!
Hehehe. Tu é brasileiro mesmo ou só mora no Brasil??
@@Celestial-Moraxis sou brasileiro, n viu meu ingles horroroso? hahahah

Can you move out of Brazil?
This is sick man I’m glad the tech is catching up to the lifestyle 😎
Sweet bro loved the video, gaming on top of a mountain man absolutely insane. The shot of you inside your van with the wind blowing looked so peaceful. Can't wait to see what this bad boy will do once you get the ether net chord adapter, for me it cut my ping in half!
First video watching of yours, and you made me laugh out loud several times! Def going to subscribe!
I came to see a review ...stayed for the vibe...love this dudes energy
From one Trent to another, this video was SICK! I love all your content man. As someone who wants to work remote and travel the country some day, this was so educational and inspiring! Not only that, but super entertaining lol. Cant wait to watch some more of your content brotha!
I've been waiting for you to get starlink for so long, super excited to hear more about experiences. Video Idea: Do you ever run into animals in the wild?
Damn. Well I was expecting something like starlink to happen at some point but reality is far more exciting. Nice video. Always making my mood when I see you man. Wish I could live in a van too. Keep up the good work. 👍😉
What an epic commercial. Someone needs to pay you big time.
I pray they make a 12volt version very soon.
Meanwhile Bear Grylls having a larva lunch with him.
Bro! that Ping is high, I def know that Starlink will be upgrading that in the future. They have gain a lot of popularity after years of crappy satellite internet companies. Rooting for you! DON'T STOP MAKING VIDEOS!
Spacex just shared this video on Twitter.
Yooo!!! That’s insane!!!
@@TrentTheTraveler Now Elon Musk has retweeted this video.
That's freakin awesome Trent! Love that starlink is that stable for you. I have a question so does the starlink move while your connected to find better satellites? Also its great you still use "Slarxy" as your gaming name
Yeah! It’s constantly connecting to new satellites all the time!
And lol… I’m just too lazy to change my name.
@@TrentTheTraveler Is there any interruption in service when it swaps uplinks? Or is it able to maintain connection when it does?
Once the dish positions the first time it doesn't actually move it stays stationary. It works because it's a super high tech "phased array antenna" and it electronically aims the beam at the satellites switching satellites every minute or so as they zoom overhead at 17,500 mph.
omg vanlife and gaming? this is the dream...and I could work from anywhere! thanks this is inspiring
Great job!
To those of us that came after Elon tweeted. Kudos, you have been Elonized
Love this! Thanks for sharing! Can you do a test in a place without clear view of the sky sometime? Thanks 😊
Not a bad idea! I'll definitely put that on the list!
@@TrentTheTraveler even leaves will make connection bad -- its reaaly needs a clear sky
Great idea Sierra Jean!
So much for touching the grass lmao.
Can we just take the time to appreciate the fact that this guy hasn't said a swear word throughout the whole video! What a classy guy you rock bro🤙🏼
The ultimate goal! Dude's even manage to upload in 4K resolution off-grid while most struggle to play 480p within civilization.
How long can you game on that power station with just the laptop plugged in? And how much power does the Starlink pull? I'm thinking about traveling in my prius for a bit, but still want to be able to use my gaming laptop at night.
Good question
That depends on the laptop. You need to find the electrical specs (The Volts and the Amps it uses) If you want I can explain how to calculate a little
@@shadow392 19.5V 9.23A 180W
BRO I stumbled upon this channel and subscribed IMMIDIETLY❗️THIS DUDES SO UNIQUE BRO WUT
Lmao both the speed test are better then mine at my house..
Love it!
Imagine ut lost in the woods for weeks, and u suddenly hear this man raging at the game out of no where😂✊🏾😊
The RuneScape splash mark 🤣💫
This is big for camping, around 50 years ago a person died in japan because he got lost while hiking and wasn't able to contact anyone , i guess that solves it.
You destroyed the living in van down by the river joke. This is awesome!
Super sick, so glad you have a great connection now!
starlink is the greatest product ever it gives independency in one of the most important factors in the world which is the internet
I was looking to see how well starlink worked with blizzard and you helped me so much. Thank you thank you!!
