Regarding the cleaning, when I go to the washing station, I use the air blower to dry it and, as you stated, it leaves white marks on the paint. Once I am back home, I use the Quickcleaner from Motorex to re-clean the paint. It just takes 2 minutes to have a good looking paint again.
Some one described the indicator switch as being like a loose tooth, my personal h8 is the headlight switch, every time my hand goes to the buttons i turn on the headlight without knowing, its the wrong way round
Fully agree! I also would like the Hazard button on the left... It does not work for me on the right. QS could be better - especially down (my V4 S Ducati Streetfighter is buttery smooth up and down).

Ktm doesn't measure average fuel usage to calculate the fuel range it uses your real-time fuel usage so calculate it so if you open up the throttle it wil say alot less fuel range But what makes that bad is when you drive slow and it says you have 20km of range left and you open up the throttle it drops down to like 5
Mine does not do that 🤔 With cruisecontrol set on a 10 mile straigt and flat as a pancake, it still does not measure correctly. On those 10 miles, it can drop as much as 50miles. But it really sucks that it's that bad. You can't trust it. 🤔
I have had a few recalls done, and a broken wire for the right front indicator. The servo for the exhaust valve is a problem. But healtech had a solution for that. Other than that, no problems :)
personally the one thing that holds me back from going to ktm is the stories about poor reliability and the fact that they charge you extra for things that you already paid for while they are installed on the bikes already. It really gives the feeling that they only care abt number of sales and not their customers. I hear that now in the uk they go for 4 years of guarantee for the sdr (dont quote me though), apparently they are trying to get rid of the stock to make room for the new sdr... . I think 3 years should be minimum for all bikes, i agree with you, its like they dont trust the quality of their own work and parts which is never a good sign. Beautiful bike, ride safe.
Now you can buy warranty at KTM up to 60k kms. I bought some extra years for my KTM 690, but surprisingly I never needed it. Now waiting for the delivery of my 2023 Super Duke with the 4 yrs of warranty. :)
Have you had any reliability issues with it so far ? How many miles have you done on it ? The Ktm “reliability” is the only thing putting me off buying one !
The indicatorswitch panel went to shit with in the first 2 month of ownership. Other than that no problems. You will How ever need a exhaustvalve servo delete module for it. Thats a commen problem on them 😁
My 2020 switch gear has just stopped working first the cruise now the back toggle as well. I’m over the Two years as well. I also think the Sat nav app / licence is too expensive.
That really sucks mate 😐 Please let me know how expensive the switchpanel is. Yes, the sat nav app is way to expensive for how bad it's made. I don't use it, so that why I forgot about it 😅

Yes, You are so right about the switches! The turn indicator switch is a nightmare. Same thing on both our 2021 bikes. And, last time we were on a ride I accidentally pushed the horn so many times that I think about disconnecting the wires there (who needs a horn, I can shout louder than it). My intention was to push the + switch of the cruise control and somehow there was no action so I instinctively pushed some more times... The horn. Anyhow, the cruise control is a must! One can relax and keep the steady speed with it - if not using it the speed easily crawls to unlawful heights without the rider noticing it at all. I think the quickshifter is not so great, too. Some certain computer controls are needed and the possibilities are already there, only a suitable programming is not there... But the reverse shift order is a nice feature (as OEM design possibility), just have had it for a couple of rides and we like it a lot.
Yes the horn is really bad and so is the location for the button. I still thing the QS is good, but you need to move the shifterlink to the "Short throw" bolt hole. It makes it work so much better than stock location.😀

But my Dream bike is what you are riding 😉 But it is to expensive for me. 7300 euro for the Duke 390 2023 dark galvano is a good price.

I just picked up my 2023 SDR Evo and they have fixed/changed the indicator switch for the better. Good they kinda listen to their customers feed back.

Yep. May as well disconnect the horn. It’s an embarrassing sound for such a tough sounding bike 🍻
