He really is - I don't trust journalists, they need to satisfy the brands, otherwise they're not invited to launches and are not given bikes to review. Not TH-camrs! TMF is easily one of the best. I also watch Lamb Chop Rides and Motozest, really like their style as well.
Andy, had one of these since May after a KTM 390 Duke, 1050 speed triple and a Tuono V4 Factory. This thing is the best bike over ever ridden. It’s far more fun than any of those other bikes, and it’s fuel economy is outstanding (best in class). I get between 50-60mpg. I’ve seen 68mpg. Unbelievable fun, torque, comfort, handling, engagement and fuel economy. I honestly think I’ve found the bike that I’m meant to be on.
You shouldn't do yourself down MR Missenden Flyer. Your reviews and the Channel as a whole is one of the best. Too many "reviewers" are happy to rag the machine to within an inch of its life and do not give any thoughts to the overall ownership of the bike, it's almost just an excuse to ride a new bike and get a few views on their channel. I would imagine it has taken a long time to make this video, together with the editing, and I fully appreciated the hard work and time you must put into them . Keep up the excellent coverage and I'm looking forward to many more videos to come..... ;0)
Thank you Richard - and yes you are right, these long term reviews are a major effort on my part so I'm cuffed you've recognised that....all the best - TMF
What a video mate. I watched the entire thing and have no intention of buying one of these, I just couldn't bring myself to turn the video off! Hands down the best review I've ever seen, keep it up man
Great job. You looked at many features the ordinary/average rider would find important, yet are often ignored/neglected in more professional reviews. Definitely one of your best reviews. Thanks.
Thank you dsimon9 s that is exactly my intention when I do these reviews, I try and cover off the things I would look out for if I were considering buying the bike - to me whether the seat is comfy and if the mirrors work are just as important as the provision of 9 way traction control (more important actually!)....
Thank you gents - just goes to show "you can please some of the people all of the time but not all of the...etc" - I just wanted to do this excellent bike justice, so went for it !
This is the best bike reviewer I have ever seen. His attention to detail is outstanding and he is well spoken and extremely intelligent. I can`t think of anything he missed. A proper review.
Yeah definitely the best and most comprehensive bike review on TH-cam. Every detail, major and minor, of the bike is covered. Plus the viewers questions awesome. Hope you get to review a limitless amount of bikes mate, I’ll be watching for sure
I think I didn't watch fully video 45min long on the youtube before. This felt like 10minutes. I've watched a LOT of motorcycle reviews before and this is hands down the best one I've seen. This is how it should be done, really. You got my like and a sub. Many thanks for your time and for making this brilliant, helpful video. Cheers!
What a great review! My favourite video yet as it was 45 minutes. Also very in depth about the details of the bike. Looking forward for the next video 👍🏍
"Proper Journos" should be bringing you water and shining your shoes TMF. The in-depth analysis is just superb and thorough. And eventhough I find this bike fair ugly and a bit grotesque, your production value makes it enjoyable viewing & interesting nevertheless. Look forward to the next one. Cheers.
I enjoyed the review. It was very informative, and answered some excellent questions. I would also add I appreciate the transparency / honesty of the reviewer. One can enjoy the “hooligan” bike but admit ones own limitations in this regard. To me it adds credibility.
I can't afford 1 but ok like the colour orange so I bought 1 and never looked back. I didn't need to as I couldn't see that far back. Best bike ever for x moto x riders. You can throw this puppy around like an mxc.
I know I’m a tad behind, but I can’t watch this without mentioning how helpful this review is. In fact, the best review so far. Great job! Would love to meet and ride one day! Keep it up.
Grateful for the in-depth review, TMF! I do no consider the length is an issue. I enjoyed this video, and if i didn't have the time your shorter, first impressions review is excellent. This format - short and long reviews is great. all the best
Mate I don't own a bike but the day I can afford one, this is the one I'm gonna get. Your review is in depth and you covered every aspect of this bike without any biase. LOVED YOUR PROFESSIONALISM. Cheers mate.
After having mine for about a month now I agree with all your pros and Cons. Strangely enough I’ve not had the issue with the screen constantly changing like you and many other reviewers 🤔 And i learned something new re the fuel cap, I didn’t know about the time limit. Also re travel, in the powerparts catalogue you can get very nice panniers to match the bike.
Yep absolutely loving it so far! I didn’t get the track pack because as you say a bit of overkill for the road, but I probably will get it at some point so the bikes fully optioned. I do have the quick shifter though. I probably should of got it all together I guess as I got a very good deal on the bike being a demo.
They have improved the sensitivity of the screen , my 67 plate is a lot better than my 17 plate in regards to this and a number of other things. TMF most likeky had an early launch model. Just another point, the fuel gauge read correctly was because you lifted the stand before you turned the bike on, If you had done this in a different order then the bike can take up to 2mins yo update the fuel gauge.
I know this is a year old, but I'm seriously considering getting a 2019 SDukeR and this really helped. I love all your stuff, you're a wonderful motovlogger! Thank you! Just subscribed.
Fantastic review covered everything in depth not been on a motorbike for ten years but just purchased the ktm duke 390 2017 to get back into it again maybe in the future this beast will be on the shopping list 👍
Greetings TMF from New Zealand. I have a 3 year old MT-09 and the Super Duke will probably be my next bike. Excellent review, as usual, and good to get real world opinions rather than track day and drag strip features. Keep up the good work.
been watching this vid fora two years now and still cant figure out whether to dive in or not. Great vid though. Always good when nice guys review these machines. enjoy all ur vids. Thanks.
Good review! Almost made me want to swap the bike out for a KTM. My Mum is in hospital in Amersham and I’ve been riding around the area a lot - I felt like i knew the roads after watching so many of your vids!! P.s I use that Tesco too.
Unlucky sir - I hate that Tesco! It used to be good, then they changed the layout of the car park and now it's always busy.....sadly I spend a lot of time there!! Hope your Mum is OK and give me a wave if you see me on the road....
TMF - I love your attention to detail anyway- you should do a similarly thorough go pro review of that Tesco's. It'd be hilarious. Had you down as a Waitrose kind of guy though:-)
My god man, you went above and beyond with this review. Thank you very much for the level of detail you went to, as this is hopefully going to be my next bike. I greatly appreciate it!
Possibly my favourite video of yours yet! Very well executed sir! And what an awesome looking machine it is, particularly at the 32:18 mark, great angle.
The 2020 1290 Super Duke, I was never a KTM lover of it's looks, but power oh ya! When I seen it at the bike show last weekend, the attention to detail is amazing. I've always purchased Kawasaki's am selling my 2015 H2 to buy the 2020 at 55 years old, it's got torque, comfort, great electronics, what's not to like? 🇨🇦
Great review! You might want to consider adding a rear tire to your annual cost of ownership. With that amount of power at the rear wheel, my guess is that you’re only going to get 3-5,000 miles depending on the type of tire. Just a thought!
Jim 86 agreed! I have a 2016 Tuono and getting 4,500 miles (3 rear tires so far) out of the Pirelli Diablo Rosso III’s but only got 2,500 from the stock Pirelli Supercorsa SP.
What a brilliant review! Of course it helps that it's an amazing machine, but love your in-depth take and no-nonsense style. 10/10 and a gold star too!
Sure thing Ian - I can only do it of course when a manufacturer lends me a bike for a long period - so at the moment that's only Triumph, KTM and soon Ducati....
You are as good as any professional motorcycle journalist and by far the best motorcycle vlogger on youtube. Makes my mondays wednesdays and fridays fun. Although my other half seems to run as soon as "hey Kids" comes out of my laptop speakers. Hey ho i am still working on getting her into bikes. Anyway another cracking and in depth review. Thanks for another great video.
Very kind James - thanks for sticking with me...I don't think it's the "Hey kids" thing that is doing it, I tend to have that effect on any woman of child rearing age.... :0)
Really? I think this one looks pretty good.....but in the main I agree, KTMs generally don't quite have the looks to appeal to me...although they are improving in recent years!
When you read out your quote I actually wanted to cry. I’m 21 and have recently bought an NC750s after owning a Varadero. The Varadero cost me 1200 to insure for a year third party only at the age of 19, the Nc750 has cost me 1,600 to insure TPF&T...it’s really disheartening for youngsters to pour away whatever money they can get hold of just because of their age. I consider myself to be a very safety conscious rider but the stigma of being a young motorbike rider just makes owning a bike the opposite of what it should be (Cheap fun)...
I've ridden my 2018 1290 SDR about 1,300 miles now, and so far I would say it's not great for droning down the highway. You sit fairly upright, and as a naked bike, there is zero wind protection for the shoulders and head. The pillion seat doesn't allow you to go into a full racing tuck as it is positioned too far forward, which is a problem that is exacerbated by the high tank that doesn't allow you to drop your head down far enough to reduce drag at very high speeds. Putting along on the highway at around 80mph is no problem though, and the engine has so much torque that 90mph in 5th feels like 65mph on my Street Triple R. I don't agree that touring on this bike would be no problem at all...lack of wind protection becomes a big issue if you spend a lot of time on the highway. If you're riding winding mountain roads most of the time, this might not be as big of a problem. TL;DR - Engine has gobs of power and cruises at high speed with ease. No wind protection and ergonomics of the bike means high speeds are very annoying with a lot of buffeting. Not a good touring machine from what I've experienced so far.
Thanks for the feedback - and yes of course the SDR isn’t primarily meant to be a tourer, but you can tour on anything if you really want to! Cheers for watching - TMF
Keep up the excellent work! I enjoyed the longer review and I’m not even in the market for a KTM! Looks fantastic though! I admire your dedication to everything to do with motorcycles!
Great in-depth review - thank you! KTM is not the only bike with the one-touch starter. Suzuki introduced the Easy-start system back in 2015-16 with the GSXS1000/F.
Excellent review as always TMF......anyone thinking of buying a 1290R would not have to look any further than this review, all points covered........keep up the good work.
I'm a big fan of your channel. I've been watching now for a few years and you are my favourite vlogger. Just one thing, why doesn't Mrs Flyer ever go on one of your tours? She is missing out on some wonderful trips!
Thank you TMF on your now customary high quality reviews. The part about cornering abs and anti wheelie has just sold the bike for me. I shall be buying the wife one tomorrow (her safety regarding the power was a hang up, but in actual fact I think this will look after her) In the world of media there are two people who I’ve grown to respect in regards to reviews Michael Neeves of MCN and yourself.
That was a marathon. Most enjoyable and informative. Your enthusiasm for all things in the world of motorcycling shines through in your presentation. So much so it makes me wonder why your financial rewards are not in the same relm as that Clarkson character. Many thanks for all your efforts they are appreciated
Now that would be nice - sadly "financial rewards" don't really come the way of the You Tube motorcycle reviewer - I make about £5 on an average video, and they take me at least a day to research, plan, film, edit, publish and reply to comments on - much longer in some cases, I normally start responding to comments at 7am and finish up around 11:30pm....not a great hourly rate!
Wow, im surprise i've finish watching this video, this is my first time finishing motorcycle review with a length of 45mins, i really enyoyed watching. Wish someday i can afford owning this beast.
You forgot to mention their most important feature buddy... They make women want to be with you, make other men want to be you, and make Policemen want to chase you.... Perfect bike.. and as a security feature, they can be used to test car alarms in multi storey car parks...! Pip pip ole chap.!
Believe me Del no motorcycle has that power, nor does driving a flash sports car, playing the guitar or getting a pilots licence - I've tried them all to no avail!! Great to have you along buddy, I feel honoured (just hoping you don't notice I stole your "stick around and stay tuned" line)....
Didn't notice?! I was proud as punch buddy... you just need to now say 'take it easy, ride safe, see you next time', but don't worry if it's a difficult line, when you come to the garage to do a Q&A we can do some rehearsing and practicing and you can teach me how to say 'hey kids, it's Delboy's Garage here, hope you're well' !!
Nice review. I'm also torn between this, tuono or maybe even 1290 Super Adventure. The Duke GT tank cutouts keeps it off my list because it doesn't feel right for my 6'3" frame. Cheers!
Thanks to your review I'll be test riding and probably buying this bike. Your review was extremely comprehensive, thank you 👍. The only thing I don't think you've mentioned is the turning circle but I'll figure that out in the test ride anyway.
Hi TMF, thanks for another great review, full of exactly the sort of info we all want to hear. I find this particularly useful and interesting because, although it's not the exact model I'm after (that would be the Super Adventure S), I'm interested in adding something similar to my garage next year. Very well filmed, edited and most of all presented, less of the amateur comments because you could give many a "profession" hack a run for their money. It's answered so many questions and although they're different bikes they're very similar so it's easy for me to imagine what the SAS would be like. Cheers TMF, keep up the excellent work 👍 P.S. You've always given good advice - you were actually very instrumental in me buying my first bike just over a year ago now, and what a year its been on my Street Triple Rx. Now I'm waiting for my second bike, a CCM Spitfire Scrambler, to be built and I'm already planning on the third to complete my collection (for now anyway).
Thank you CV - My next long termer is the Super Adventure and I give that a similarly in depth look...so stay tuned for that! CCM Spitfire eh? I came soooo close to putting a deposit on one of those....
Excellent video and review, just what I need it to know, I,am 6.3 and really thinking of getting one , in the future. Thanks so much , we so lucky to have you, God bless you always. 🙏🏽👍🏽🙂
Great review as always TMF. Love the detail of your reviews. I quite honestly look forward to them. One thing though, KTM does accessory saddle bags for the 1290R. From memory they’re not massive, but sufficient for short tours. Keep up the great work 👍
Fantastic review TMF. Enjoyed seeing some time dedicated to the negatives of the bike too. Any chance you could do more videos with Kawasaki machines? Seems to be the only main manufacturer you aren't producing many videos of. Keep up the good work!
When Jeremy McWilliams (Moto GP) rider was working on the suspension they found that the best launch was with an 8 degree wheelie which gave you the maximum acceleration without losing acceleration by going too high. I hope that answers your question about the wheelie control, that wheelie is intentional to give you the fastest possible launch. Try it again, it shouldn't go any higher. But it s/b a wicked launch. Hang on tight.
Well, today I took this KTM super Duke R out for a demo and fell in love with it because it does ride so very well in traffic and like a rocket ship out of town. When I got back on my Ducati afterwards, it felt so slow and under powered. Guess I’m going to get one now. Dam it ....
Like always, great work TMF! You have picked up details many "professional journos" miss in their reviews. It seems many other reviews are too busy caining it:)
So I'm told. I might be mad but of all the bikes I've test ridden, and its a few now, this one was the one I felt most confident/natural on. I think it just suits my riding style the best.
I'd say all of the 1290s are easy to move round and they all take a lot of restraint to keep to legal speeds. Excellent review as ever. You may need to add tyres to the annual cost.
TheMissendenFlyer My Super Adventure S actually trashed the front first. It seems to be a combination of the handling and power that lets you brake later and accelerate quicker
"Proper journos, not amateurs like myself" You are the best motorbike reviewer and this was hands-down the best motorcycle review I've ever seen.
Wow, thank you very much!
It's like my mate got a new bike and I went round for a cup of tea and he gave me a shot.
TheMissendenFlyer can you do a review on versys1000 gt please
Agreed. Most reviewers neglect a lot of nuances the average perspective buyer would love to know. TMF hits it all.
Time for a video of the new 2020 model (“The Beast 3.0”).
You shouldn't do yourself down MR Missenden Flyer. Your reviews and the Channel as a whole is one of the best. Thank you Richard - and yes you are right, these long term reviews are a major effort on my part so I'm cuffed you've recognised that....all the best - TMF
"chuffed"
Here here! Always love your vids and they are always full of the useful info not just the obvious. Keep up the good work.
It's unreal how much time and effort you put in. You earned another subscriber
Cheers Darren - welcome along!
Why anyone would give you a thumbs down is insane, such a thorough review. Even called KTM to ask about launch control.
Thank you!
What a video mate. I watched the entire thing and have no intention of buying one of these, I just couldn't bring myself to turn the video off! Hands down the best review I've ever seen, keep it up man
+grownsimbaa Very kind of you, thank you...
Great job. You looked at many features the ordinary/average rider would find important, yet are often ignored/neglected in more professional reviews. Definitely one of your best reviews. Thanks.

45 mins is fine, a lot of people work 10 hours+ a day, 45 mins is fine
Richard Xia Agreed, especially since taking on the various viewer requests.
Thank you gents - just goes to show "you can please some of the people all of the time but not all of the...etc" - I just wanted to do this excellent bike justice, so went for it !
Will you review the. Versys1000 gt please
Just got my super duke today. You didn't warn me that I would never be able to do the speed limit again
Seriously mate, i learn soething from all your videos. So helpful. Keep me coming. Thanks
Great stuff! Thanks....
This is the best bike reviewer I have ever seen. His attention to detail is outstanding and he is well spoken and extremely intelligent. I can`t think of anything he missed. A proper review.
Thank you very much Trevor - appreciated!
Love the detail and set up for this review brother! Keep it up and ride well bro 💪🏾
Just went through a binged a bunch of your videos. Easily one of the best people to watch! Keep up the good work!
Thanks
I think this is a great, well service. If anyone is interested in purchasing this bike all the concerns are answered. Great video.
Cheers Dobbo2958 - I aim to be of use!
Yeah definitely the best and most comprehensive bike review on TH-cam. Every detail, major and minor, of the bike is covered. Plus the viewers questions awesome. Hope you get to review a limitless amount of bikes mate, I’ll be watching for sure
Thank you|!
Cheers!
Wow thanks - and welcome along!
What a great review! My favourite video yet as it was 45 minutes. Also very in depth about the details of the bike. Looking forward for the next video 👍🏍
Cheers :0)
"Proper Journos" should be bringing you water and shining your shoes TMF. The in-depth analysis is just superb and thorough. And eventhough I find this bike fair ugly and a bit grotesque, your production value makes it enjoyable viewing & interesting nevertheless. Look forward to the next one. Cheers.
You are too kind to me Gregory!!
I enjoyed the review. It was very informative, and answered some excellent questions. I would also add I appreciate the transparency / honesty of the reviewer. One can enjoy the “hooligan” bike but admit ones own limitations in this regard. To me it adds credibility.
Definitely your finest video to date. Excellent work, sir and a fun watch. That launch control segment was a bit squeaky bum, even just watching. 😳
Tell me about it!
I can't afford 1 but ok like the colour orange so I bought 1 and never looked back.
I didn't need to as I couldn't see that far back.
Best bike ever for x moto x riders.
You can throw this puppy around like an mxc.
I really appreciate the amount of time and effort you put in this video!
Wow! I have been looking at reviews for some time now and this guy gets it. Way to dedicate the video to raw information and the viewers. Thank you!
By far the most extensive review of that bike I've ever seen. Learned much and appreciate it!
Thank you Scott - I thought I'd go for it with this one :0)
I know I’m a tad behind, but I can’t watch this without mentioning how helpful this review is. In fact, the best review so far. Great job!
Would love to meet and ride one day!
Keep it up.
Thanks!
Great overall review and this will definitely help the buyers 👌
I hope so...
Absolutely brilliant review. I think your vids are genuinely the most informative on TH-cam now.
Thank you Mark ("now"????)
TheMissendenFlyer
OK, the last couple of years and probably going forward! Ha. Great job.
Grateful for the in-depth review, TMF! I do no consider the length is an issue. I enjoyed this video, and if i didn't have the time your shorter, first impressions review is excellent. This format - short and long reviews is great. all the best
Thank you Beef Log - Appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching!
Yet to spot a better comprehensive review about any bike by any reviewer than this one. Thanks a lot sir, great video.
Wow - thank you Shomit, very kind of you to say so....
Definitely one of your best reviews, great format as I felt I had a good understanding of the bike without actually riding it! well done.
Thank you Martin - that was my aim with this one...great stuff!
Mate I don't own a bike but the day I can afford one, this is the one I'm gonna get. Your review is in depth and you covered every aspect of this bike without any biase.
LOVED YOUR PROFESSIONALISM.

Do you have both a 17 and 67 plate?? Most things are improved via software i.e. quick shifter performance
I had a problematic 17 and now have a perfect (so far) 67 ;)
awesome review, i love that you take questions and answer them during the review. not seen that before. subbed.
Welcome along!
best review i swear bro.... amazing.. I'm a follower of u from now on..
Fantastic review, picking up my 2019 SDR soon. Love love love this bike
I know this is a year old, but I'm seriously considering getting a 2019 SDukeR and this really helped. I love all your stuff, you're a wonderful motovlogger! Thank you! Just subscribed.
Did you end up getting it? I'm considering one now as well although I've seen this video before and test ridden one, still very informative
All reviews should be like this. Brilliant. Should be the benchmark for reviews in my opinion.
Very kind of you to say so Griff!
Fantastic review covered everything in depth not been on a motorbike for ten years but just purchased the ktm duke 390 2017 to get back into it again maybe in the future this beast will be on the shopping list 👍
Nice one!
Greetings TMF from New Zealand. I have a 3 year old MT-09 and the Super Duke will probably be my next bike. Excellent review, as usual, and good to get real world opinions rather than track day and drag strip features. Keep up the good work.
Cheers Clive, quite an upgrade from the MT-09 - you'll love it!
Awesome review TMF, keep them coming.
Thank you - lots more to come!
been watching this vid fora two years now and still cant figure out whether to dive in or not. Great vid though. Always good when nice guys review these machines. enjoy all ur vids. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks!
Didn’t think I liked the look of KTMs but god that bikes a sexy looking beast.

Despite being British😂, you’re one of the best motorcycle related channels I’ve ever seen, keep up the great work.
Thank you very much, I’m delighted to hear that!
Another great review Mr F ..definitely the best reviews on the tube
You are too kind Keith!
Super good job! Just pleasure to watch, and your articulate lay person style is much appreciated. Thank you.
Cheers Jonathan - appreciate the kind words!
Well done mate. Im between this and the 2017 Tuono Factory and this review is very helpful.
Excellent. Thorough and detailed stuff - what a terrific reviewer.
Thank you!
Long term tests on several KTM's - you are a lucky boy ! Great vids - should be on the telly my friend!
I do like the tacho/speedo display at night, cracking colours and very clear looking from your camera view
Yes agreed, the KTM's are by far the best illuminated bikes at night I've yet come across.....
Simply the best review of the Super Duke R to date. Well done Sir 👏
Thank you for saying so!
My god man, you went above and beyond with this review. Thank you very much for the level of detail you went to, as this is hopefully going to be my next bike. I greatly appreciate it!
I thought this amazing bike deserved the thorough treatment - glad it was of use to you!
Possibly my favourite video of yours yet! Very well executed sir! And what an awesome looking machine it is, particularly at the 32:18 mark, great angle.
Thank you Rob....

My Tuono 1100 was much better on the same tyres (M7RR) compared to the SuperDuke.
What a brilliant review! Of course it helps that it's an amazing machine, but love your in-depth take and no-nonsense style. 10/10 and a gold star too!
You are too kind Andy, thank you very much....
Superb stuff, definitely consider doing more of this long form. Holy Moly that launch control...
Sure thing Ian - I can only do it of course when a manufacturer lends me a bike for a long period - so at the moment that's only Triumph, KTM and soon Ducati....
Fair play for using the launch control. Not sure I'd trust the electronics to work but then I'm old school.
+Tim Butler Yes scary biscuits!!
Actually one of the best videos yet.
Very kind James - thanks for sticking with me...I don't think it's the "Hey kids" thing that is doing it, I tend to have that effect on any woman of child rearing age.... :0)
Love the attempts at taking them up on utilizing the launch control! Great video as always.
Still think it’s an ugly bike. No KTMs for me.
That’s the only advantage of getting older Malek!
Another AWEEESOME review! I didn't notice the time it takes to watch it!
Thank you very much :0)
Another fantastic video, best bike channel I've found, keep this up.
Thank you Dexter, will try my best to!
Killer review. Thanks for the call-out and answering my question (and I totally agree).
You're super welcome Max - thanks for the question!
Thank you Mark, will do!
Great in-depth review - thank you!
KTM is not the only bike with the one-touch starter. Suzuki introduced the Easy-start system back in 2015-16 with the GSXS1000/F.
You are correct, and about the 5th person to mention it - my apologies....
Sorry - didn't see the other comments.
Excellent review as always TMF......anyone thinking of buying a 1290R would not have to look any further than this review, all points covered........keep up the good work.
brilliant review once again Mr Flyer. love the channel. one of my favorites.
Thanks Mark
I'm a big fan of your channel. I've been watching now for a few years and you are my favourite vlogger. Just one thing, why doesn't Mrs Flyer ever go on one of your tours? She is missing out on some wonderful trips!
....good question! To be fair I quite like biking being my "thing" - she does her thing, I do mine and we meet in between...
Wow - high praise indeed - thanks!
Another awesome video man. Keep up the good work. And will continue to watch
Thank you - great to have you along!
Andy, great review! I’m a motorcycle junkie here in America, and this may be my next bike. If you ever get to Colorado, would love to ride with you!
Cheers Sam!
That was a marathon. Most enjoyable and informative. Your enthusiasm for all things in the world of motorcycling shines through in your presentation. So much so it makes me wonder why your financial rewards are not in the same relm as that Clarkson character. Many thanks for all your efforts they are appreciated
He's too much of a gent and not prepared to punch anyone, that's why!
TheMissendenFlyer don’t forget to declare the 15 quid a week - less costs of course....
Hi I have watched a number of your videos and just wanted to say really informative. I have subscribed, keep up the great work.
Thank you Darryl and welcome along!
Wow, im surprise i've finish watching this video, this is my first time finishing motorcycle review with a length of 45mins, i really enyoyed watching. Wish someday i can afford owning this beast.
Thank you for watching!
I was proud as punch buddy... you just need to now say 'take it easy, ride safe, see you next time', but don't worry if it's a difficult line, when you come to the garage to do a Q&A we can do some rehearsing and practicing and you can teach me how to say 'hey kids, it's Delboy's Garage here, hope you're well' !!
...until next time, this has been Delboy's garage, cheerio....
Great review, so well detailed couldn't have been any better. Thanks so much, and great work!
Thank you Kevin!
Nice review. I'm also torn between this, tuono or maybe even 1290 Super Adventure. The Duke GT tank cutouts keeps it off my list because it doesn't feel right for my 6'3" frame. Cheers!
Great video! Really in depth and informative. Very enjoyable to watch. 👍
+MICHAEL JOLLEY Thank you Michael, I aim to please!
Cheers TMF, keep up the excellent work 👍
Fantastic review, very professional love your videos, keep them coming.
Cheers Chris - willco....
Excellent video and review, just what I need it to know, I,am 6.3 and really thinking of getting one , in the future. Thanks so much , we so lucky to have you, God bless you always. 🙏🏽👍🏽🙂
Thanks for watching and for stopping by - TMF
What a great review. Very interesting to see launch control in action, probably not for me though! Well done Sir, keep up the good work.
Not for me either!
@@TheMissendenFlyer I don't think you can use launch control from a rolling start, at least it was just redlining in the second clip.
Very well done video mate. Thank you so much for doing it! I ride a 2015 KTM 1290 SDR and no gripes.
Thanks for the kind comments - much appreciated! All the best - TMF
Totally agree with all your pros and cons. I found all the same issues when I done my vid on my superduke
Glad we concur Danny - and thanks for stopping by!
Great review as always TMF. Love the detail of your reviews. I quite honestly look forward to them. One thing though, KTM does accessory saddle bags for the 1290R. From memory they’re not massive, but sufficient for short tours. Keep up the great work 👍
Good call Onyeka and thanks for the kind words - TMF
Excellent review! These are all the questions I have because I want to buy one
Great review TMF, really enjoyed that and loved the run time.
Thank you Ed :0)
Thanks for the detailed review, I think this will be my next bike. Either this or the GT version, probably this.
I prefer this over the GT for some reason....
Fantastic review TMF. Enjoyed seeing some time dedicated to the negatives of the bike too.
Any chance you could do more videos with Kawasaki machines? Seems to be the only main manufacturer you aren't producing many videos of.
Keep up the good work!
in fact to date I haven't posted any Kawasaki videos....that is all changing though....stay tuned!
Oh wow - thanks for that, fascinating!
My Ducati Monster has one touch starting, and it's 10yrs old! Great feature
Yes my bad, some Suzukis have it too I seem to remember! Wish my Ducati did, have to hang on to the Panigale starter for what seems like ages....
Well, today I took this KTM super Duke R out for a demo and fell in love with it because it does ride so very well in traffic and like a rocket ship out of town. When I got back on my Ducati afterwards, it felt so slow and under powered.
Guess I’m going to get one now. Dam it ....
What Ducati??
Like always, great work TMF! You have picked up details many "professional journos" miss in their reviews.
It seems many other reviews are too busy caining it:)
Thanks for that!
u can do a uturn,u have to lean more and go faster, that will enable a sharper turn
Been waiting for this. Brilliant review, and probably my new bike/first big bike.
Thanks Ed - I would exercise extreme caution buying one of these puppies as your first big bike! These things aren't messing about....
Yes very good point Colin, I imagine these things eat rears!
TheMissendenFlyer My Super Adventure S actually trashed the front first. It seems to be a combination of the handling and power that lets you brake later and accelerate quicker
