    ACC, if anything, has really done the Sim Community a service with their Sound Design. Much wider soundstage with depth and presence that you just don't get in other sims. While I think RF2 holds the FFB/Physics Crown, there is something to be said about the importance of sound-stage when it comes to immersion. I love coming back to ACC for this very reason.

    • @SIMRACINGJASON

      RaceRoom used to be the stand out sim for sounds but I think I have to agree with your assessment about ACC and with my new headphones I have really started to appreciate just how immersive the sound track of this title is.

    9:30 It was at this point his ears had experienced absolute pleasure.
    For real though, drove these things in a league I'm racing in, mixed class of Porsche Cup and M2s, and what an incredible race and experience that was. It's a car that really teaches you a lot about precise pedal control, which you can carry onto other cars. You truly do appreciate what it gives you for experience.

      These Cup cars are just fantastic to race as you can be the one who makes a difference with your driving inputs and i just love that, and who doesn't love that Porsche engine and exhaust note !

    Great comparison video! Always interesting to compare cars in different sims. Biggest thing that stood out to me (besides awesome sounds from Kunos) is the iracing tire model has a slightly higher optimal slip angle compared to ACC. The car won't feel as responsive as ACC but you can really play and finesse the car on the limit. In ACC I'm always nervous to push that last little bit and start a passenger slide. Both great sims though and will enjoy both.

    Good video, I'll go against the grain though, other than sounds iracing version I find much more enjoyable and connected with the road than the ACC version and I can race in VR without it looking like a week old porridge.gotta say though BMW is great fun Look forward to your next video👍

      Thanks mate and as is always the case we all have our personal views and opinions with neither being right or wrong and as long as you have a Verizon you like that’s great. You are right about VR though as with only a 1080ti I have no chance in ACC but I can have a brilliant experience in iRacing.

    the problem i have with the version in ACC is that the car is just so stiff that it really does not feel THAT different from the GT3 R whereas in iRacing the car feels more bouncy and soft, actually just like the cars look and behave when i watch the live races and see also the onboards. the ACC version feels a bit like a plank in comparison and i feel like the onboard sound is 1:1 from the GT3 R as if they did not record the proper Cup car in rl.
    i love ACC, i have almost 500h clocked in according to steam but the 992 Cup is the first let down in their series of car releases i have to say.

    • @SIMRACINGJASON
      @SIMRACINGJASON  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wow 500 hours you certainly know your way around ACC mate. For me the ACC just suited my driving style I think and I felt it just had the edge over the iRacing version but it’s always interesting to hear another point of view and it’s amazing how the same car can feel different between two sim racers. Thanks for taking the time to leave your thoughts and take on the ACC version.

    Another great head to head video mate👍 Haven’t tried the I racing 992 but I’ve put a good few hours into the ACC one since release and totally agree with you…it’s fantastic to drive, bit more forgiving than the old cup car but still bites if you push it that bit too far….should be some great single make races ahead in ACC cos the BMW is fantastic as well…at last a touring car in there👍👍

    • @SIMRACINGJASON
      @SIMRACINGJASON  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you mate appreciate that and compared to the 991 spec it’s lot more forgiving especially for me under braking as that was my weak spot with the older version. I am going to see how the racing is with a full grid, maybe with a bit of rain just to spice things up, once I get fully up to speed with the ACC version.

  • @brianjackson1833
    @brianjackson1833 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Nice comparison, have to say I came to the same conclusion that the ACC version while not perfect was more engaging to drive. also getting 4 other cars for around the same price as the iRacing version alone is just icing on the cake.

    • @SIMRACINGJASON
      @SIMRACINGJASON  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    ACC has the same fake internal audio for both the Cup and GT3-R Porsches, neither sounds like the real car and worse still, neither matches the external audio, which for the Cup car sounds half decent, shame about the internal sounds, total crap. But not as crap as iRacing LOL.
