@@SimRacingJason Yes, there is alot already out there. It's certainly copping a hounding. I think people are forgetting it's early access. Remember the ACC launch ? that was a laughing stock.

Yep AMS2 is one of the best looking sim racing titles on the PC at the moment.

I do love to throw a car around the full Brands circuit !

It did feel good to keep the car under control and on track after this big moment !

Thanks mate i am glad it has helped. Looking at going back to triples myself later this year so will be upgrading this setup with the extra Trak Racer parts to mount everything properly.

Mate RaceRoom is not the only sim title to do this, most of the sim racing titles with driver aids normally impose a penalty performance wise even against the AI. I would try the adaptive AI setting in RaceRoom which after a few races should create a more level playing field when racing the AI and allow you to be more competitive.

@@SimRacingJason None of the major racing simulators punishes with a BoP in single player mode. AMS doesn't punish, AMS2 doesn't punish, Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competzione don't punish. Even RFactor2 doesn't punish anyone. Only Race Room Experience punishes anyone who uses assists in single player mode.

Ok i was unaware of this mate as i don't use driving aids but always thought they would carry the same penalty offline as they have for using them online to stop those pesky esports racers from finding an advantage. Its real shame that RaceRoom does this, but as this is an issue i clearly don't have any real knowledge about i am not going to be the best person to make a video about it, sorry.

Got to say I have been pretty lucky with iRacing for decent online racing, so far 🤞

To get the launch control to work you need the Extended Controls add on by VRC www.overtake.gg/downloads/extended-controls.67824/ and then you can bind the buttons required to make it work. I forgot to set it for this video and now can’t quite remember how I did it, but it should be fairy easy to sort out mate.

Yes mate you can just use graphics mods with the original content.

Welcome the rabbit hole that is sim racing my friend glad to have on board with the rest of us. You have picked up a great selection of sim titles to get yourself started with that's for sure. ACC is a tricky one as its only really worth picking up if you like GT3 cars as that's its sole focus, if you do then go for it, but be warned its a bit of a resource hog and unless you have a killer PC running it with a VR headset can be some what disappointing if I'm being honest.

Not sure as I don’t run any Moza kit but I can tell you I needed to add support via an ini file for my Asetek wheel until both the game and wheel devs added native support. Might be worth checking the Moza Discord Group to find out more.

Mate they have stopped developing this title on the PC let alone bringing over to the consoles !

I did try and get that across by mentioning it’s free to play and why it’s not in the Steam Sale as such, but I think I could of made it clearer by using your description that the base content is free.

I should of added DR2.0 in my list because as you mention its much better for VR users. Thanks for making sure it gets a mention.

@@SimRacingJason Thanks for compiling this list of great titles. DR2 may be showing its age (the car interiors use very poor texture quality) but I have been enjoying it since getting it last week at this killer price. Wanted to also get WRC but since it doesn't play in VR it was a pass for me. Too bad Wreckfest 2 isn't out yet as that's another title has me excited.

Mate good shout about the RF2 DLC bundle and the way RaceRoom handle their DLC is one of the downsides of this title which is a shame as it could stop more sim racers get into this brilliant title. I was hoping there would be some deals on the RaceRoom store when i added them to the list as they quite often match when Steam have a sale but not this time it seems ! Thank you for taking the time to both watch and interact with my videos its really appreciated and of course i wish you and yours the very same my friend.

@@SimRacingJason They had a Black Friday sale on Raceroom for a couple of weeks there but it just finished up last week. Hopefully they have some sale coming up for January, i think they did last year but i'm not 100% on it.

I think Assetto Corsa would be a great starting point as it has both road and race cars so you can either kick back and just drive or get stuck into some close racing depending on what you fancy at that time. Also once you get comfortable with the game its self you can start checking out all the extra content produced by the community, which opens up this title to whole new forms of driving.

I think AM2 as it is ready to go. But if you're comfortable with moding, AC will be an amazing choice as well. If you choose AC, there is mod for controller to be easier to use. I'm sure you will enjoy and even want to buy a wheel too 😁 Great selection on this video

AC at that price is a buy all day long especially seeing how active the modding community still is and still be well after AC EVO's release.

Thanks for that information mate it’s good you remembered as I had forgot about the upcoming licenses expiring on some of the RF2 content. I fear the could be a trend going forward as RF2 is being left behind but I think its still great value with 80% off.

Almost to many options mate sometimes i jump in the rig and not sure which sim to fire up let alone what car or track to race !

I always tend to prefer the classic content in AMS2 but for me the best feeling cars are the Brazilian Stock cars with the 2024 ones being very enjoyable to drive.

With each AMS2 update it can bring issues with mods not working it seems. The best bet is to keep an eye on Thunder Flashes blog as he posts very quickly after each new update with news about his mods and quickly uploads new versions.

@@seanholdsworth4849 thanks mate and we are very similar with our passion for seeking out tin top content across as many titles as possible. I have had to give up on Race07 and its excellent mods as it just won’t play nicely with my Asetek gear. But those VRC super tourers for AC kept me going until this super touring pack dropped for RaceRoom.

I have recreated the Race 07 Supertouring across to Assetto Corsa into Early , MId and Late 90s Presets . Took a while scourering the internet to download the coerrect car models and skins for each preset year. Also got the skin mods for each track which adds to the overall emersion. Guess that's why AC is so popular after all these years. Keep up with the Tin Top content !!!!

RaceRoom is PC only mate.

It seemed OK to me when racing the AI, not yet had a chance to try these online to see how the BOP is on that side.

I did start to get a bit irked by the odd adverts and yes you are right its not even close to a BTCC sim but its a hell of a lot of fun and i am enjoying myself with what we have so far and hope the future brings us more !

Then it would be the best ever car pack in sim racing history, no question in my mind !

Track wise, the only Super Tourer championship that could be simulated in full in Raceroom is the 1998 STCC. KW would still need to add the Ford Mondeo Ghia, Opel Vectra, Nissan Primera GT and the BMW 318is.

@@x-vector7245 Mate you are right it could do with some more Super Touring circuits to help make a proper series along with a few more cars, but i am still enjoying what we have and have everything crossed this pack has been successful enough they add more tin top content.
