    Looks so good! Thank you! How do you make the dipping sauce next to the chicken? Thanks

      The dipping sauce is the fish sauce. Here is link of my video to show you how to make the dipping fish sauce. Thank you for the comment! Enjoy!!!

    very nice, how long do you leave the chicken in the oven?

    • @WeekendMeals8
      @WeekendMeals8  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on the oven. I was using the small convection oven so took me around 45 minutes to fully cooked the chicken. Enjoy! 💕

      Eliza, approximately 50 minutes + another 5 minutes on broil after brushing honey when it's fully cooked.

    This is a must to make, but I don’t keep fish sauce in cupboard-need a small bottle and only comes in large.

    • @WeekendMeals8
      @WeekendMeals8  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, try it out! You will love it! Just get a bottle, you can use for cooking as well as make dipping sauce. It comes in good use since I know you love Vietnamese food.

      I just got a small bottle of fish sauce (the 3 crab brand that usually comes in a bigger bottle) from Hmart last week. First time I see it in half the original size.

    Mam. I have every ingredient except fish sauce. I have rice wine, hoisin sauce, teriyaki sauce, red rice wine, soy sauce... (Umm? Is low sodium soy sauce, light soy sauce🤦 Idk?) but no fish sauce. Do I need it, to make this dish? I had it one time in my life. The subtle salty, sweet, herby taste waa so addictive, I ate almost 6 whole chicken thighs. I just want to make sure I do it right, or really close to it.

    • @WeekendMeals8
      @WeekendMeals8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can definitely substitute fish sauce with soy sauce, just have to add a bit more salt to get it close to the saltiness of fish sauce. Give it a try! Good Luck & Take Care!

      Lord Beerus, low sodium soy sauce is not light soy sauce. Low sodium soy sauce just means lower sodium content. Light soy sauce is considered “regular” soy sauce, so anytime a recipe calls for soy sauce, it means light soy sauce. Sometimes it’s called light soy sauce to differentiate between that and dark soy sauce, which is not the same at all.
