Minecraft is deceivingly system intensive on the Quest, honestly, it's surprising. Even QuestCraft has a rough fps and a very limited draw distance, so Minecraft in VR natively on standalone I totally understand taking some time. But also Microsoft is just notorious to fumbling MR/VR. They lost a multi-billion dollar deal with the US military for hololens failing to deliver.
@FrontwaysLarry I agree with you. Microsoft could pull some nice revenue if they would do just those two games, get with Zuckerberg and say "Look we're interested in launching Halo and Minecraft on the Meta platform we'll give you some money and devs and let's get this done". @FrontwaysLarry hmmm, I turned off vsync. Maybe is that. Then again I feel that if I change some settings they don't seem to make any difference. Still I'll try next time and write back

Nope, this is a PC-only game currently. I mention near the end of the video my hopes for this potentially though.
They won't get in the warthog cuz in Halo CE elites had no animations or ability to be in warthog
I realized while editing tbh but I wanted an excuse to do the lil wort wort wort in there lol
Is there Coop?
Not on Halo 1, sadly!
Yeah if Microsoft did a full Halo game. Then the chance of a full version of Minecraft?! Microsoft already has a partnership with META.
Boom two major games and everybody wins, case closed.
Does coop work ?
This version of Halo 1 doesn't have co-op, unlike the MCC.
This needs to come to quest...
Facts halo CE & halo 2 honestly halo 3 ODST would be the coolest out of all of them
What you're asking for is insanely hard. This is running on 2003 software lol
Middle aged divorced 12 year old 😂
Dude if you can resolve the vehicle 1st person, ill.... ill give you a like!!!
Also, i didnt see in your vid the interpolation jitter on the animations, did you set up something in particular ?
In VR the 30 FPS animations are jarring. I went into the chimera folder, but dont feel the difference when i adjust the settings. HELP ?
Hmm... I never had any jitter like that.
What I did do before adding the VR mod was just launch the game normally and adjust he video settings, though. Set the refresh rate to 60hz and turned on VSYNC, so maybe that's it?
@FrontwaysLarry hmmm, I turned off vsync. Maybe is that. Then again I feel that if I change some settings they don't seem to make any difference. Still I'll try next time and write back
@@FrontwaysLarry yeah, I turned on VSync and feels worse. I'm pretty sure it has to do with refresh rate and fps relation. For some reason the animations are not high fps, don't know if the limit is 60, but I wish the fps would be higher so it could play nice with my rift 90hz refresh rate.
Now do halo 2
maybe now the game is actually fun
throwing shade at this classic is a sin
This isn't official
Its still ported over in the official game not getting better than this
@FataIend I don't disagree
It's not officially in VR unless the Developer OFFICIALLY adds it. Clickbait less.
I'm gonna get so much hate for this, but I absolutely despise halo 1. I'm playing through the MCC and Halo CE has some of the worst level design I have EVER seen in a video game. EVERY SINGLE ROOM is just a copy paste of the last.
@CalamityBaird You're not wrong, but you also have to look at where games were at during this time. This is during the time when games like this were few and far between. If it was released as a new property today, sure, it cuts corners.
Back then? Revolutionary... other than the Library mission lol
