    I am a Pacifica hybrid owner. Since 2017. Use it for businesses moving people to the airport. Current mileage is 205k kms. I charge it for free and make up to 4000 Kms before I visit a pump for gas. Since I switched to phev Pacifica my annual gas expenses dropped from 20k Canadian to just 4K.For me Pacifica is the crown winner. For those who can’t charge it may look different. Anyway thank you very much for this review.

    Price should go to pacifica . It does get federal and state tax rebate and gets better feature for the same price. Also charging is optional even with out charging pacifica would act as a regular hybrid..

    Living in Northwest (snow and rain) means whatever others say about Pacifica PHEV, I am only buying Sienna 4WD. Not to mention the reliability issue of the Chrysler, I don’t want to take that risk of the family hauler spends half of time in dealership.

      Hello. I own 2017 Pacifica phev. Use it for business. Have 205k on the odo. Keep my fingers crossed but no issues so far, no visits to dealer at all. Charging for free at all my destinations I visit a pump once in up to 4000 kms. I drive all weather conditions and have no problems with snow on winter tires. I love siennas new design and Toyota products, my wife loves her venza, but if you say minivan, there is just one for me: Pacifica PHEV.

    I disagree that plugging in for Pacifica is a disadvantage. It does not need to be plugged in. It functions asa regular plugin just fine. Plugging in is optional and it makes daily duties very very cheap. It is an advantage for Pacifica.
    The Sienna is more economical for long trips, while the Pacifica is hands down more economical for in town drives, which most of us take. My Pacifica reads 46 MPG combined for the life of the vehicle, because our trips are under that 30 miles daily.

    I got the 2021 Toyota Sienna because I was worried about the Pacifica’s long-term reliability. Both a very nice, but I want something that’s going to last 10 years and not have lot of issues

    The price point seems misleading at present. There are nearly $10k worth of discounts and there is also a federal tax credit of $7.5k for the Pacifica. Totalling all that, a similar trim of Pacifica ends up far less expensive than a Sienna.

  • @miguelircontar

    Sienna all the way

  • @gscindian5284
    @gscindian5284 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Pacifica does not have to be plugged in.
    The Sienna does not get anywhere close to 36 MPG. Real world testing shows it at 29.3 while the Pacifica without charging it gets over 30 MPG. The facts in this video is bad. The Pacifica is still a hybrid when you don't charge it.
    Also if you owe taxes you still get $7500 for the Pacifica hybrid in tax incentives. So it''s actually cheaper than the gas version and it drives better than the gas version, smooth on all levels, but one thing that is right is there is no tow rating with this van. Chrysler does not endorse towing with this vehicle.

  • @michaelrogers2136
    @michaelrogers2136 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I have a sienna and agree with everyone that it will last longer.
    Also, residual on mine is insane. Dealer offered me $21000 trade in and it's a 2015, with 49000 miles, over 5 years and almost 50% depreciation.
    Howevwr the pricing on this video doesn't tell the entire story. I just assisted someone in a purchase of a Pacifica limited hybrid, sticker price was $47,200 and sale price with rebates was $37,800.
    Now they also didn't factor in the tax credit so after that it's $30,300.
    The chrysler also has tons of features that would cost thousands more in Toyota. Handsfree doors, rear seat entertainment, heated seats, heated steering wheel etc.
    So I would love to have gotten another toyota for a friend but the pricing after rebates and tax credits with similar features was $16,000 more.

    • @John-vh1fk
      @John-vh1fk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We just bought a Pacifica hybrid for pretty much the same reasons. And we wanted the platinum trim Sienna but Toyota is building so few of them that dealers are asking MSRP for the ones they have. We got a Pacifica hybrid Limited S trim for $12k less than the Toyota and it has more features. Dealer and Chrysler rebates lowered the Pacifica by $10k. Not even counting the federal tax credit. (I still cannot figure out Toyota’s thought process in adding rear seat entertainment but no DVD player)

    • @michaelrogers2136
      @michaelrogers2136 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@John-vh1fk yep, enjoy the van! I laugh when suv people say "I have these cool 2nd row seats so we can access the back row". I'm like yeah, if you would only have sliding hands free doors for you and the kids then you will enjoy real ease of use.
      My wife was against it initially but after several test drives and different types of cars the van was by far the best decision.
