Big Shopping Haul! | Reselling Antiques & Vintage Values

  • For the first time since March, I’m packing to go sell at a show! Florida travels, shopping with my TH-cam visitors and inbound friend mail helped me accumulate a lot of fresh stock in antiques and vintage goods, and I wanted to share what I’ve gathered before it goes.
    This haul is varied, from little things found on shelves to the furniture itself! Elegant tabletop decor like a woman’s figural compote and a hummingbird bisque and ‘guy stuff’ ranging from Sherlock Holmes’ pipes and lighters to vintage car stuff get equal time in my inventory.
    The July 4-5 show in Petoskey, Michigan is new to me, and so is some of my stock! Friend mail just arrived, with instructions to find good homes for a bunch of stuff I haven’t seen before but will open on this video.
    Then we’ll see what I’ve found lately, both with the great group of TH-camrs who visited for a weekend shopping trip and in my recent travels. Cool cameras, deco dinnerware and a Parrish print are stylish finds, while tradition shows in 1910s custard glass (yes, it glows!), a handsome barrister’s bookcase and sweet hooked rugs. Vibrant signs and a quilt top, swung glass vases in scarce colors and sizes, and a smattering of fun boudoir items make this a diverse selection I hope will tantalize my new customers up north.
    Here are some more of the items we see along the way in this tour:
    Japanese ikebana bronze vase, 1960s lounge sign, 1900s vestment, 1940s funeral flag, political memorabilia, ship’s ashtray, red Viking tall duck, cocktail and smoking collectibles, bronze 1910s bookends, Anchor-Hocking Sorento set, Pepsi crate, Revere stereo camera, Walter Dorwin Teague Kodaks, Hall refrigerator ware, Harlequin and Bauer dinnerware, Ronson deco lighters, Napco fish planter, McCoy pheasants, fire helmet, Guge decoys, Pomo and Makah baskets, prison-made purse, 1910s motto tie rack, Viking glass duck, advertising ephemera, Snap-On Swiss Army knife, medical ad skull, handcuffs, Treasure Craft shakers, Cleminson’s razor bank, Josef and Lefton girl/angel, Venetian ashtray, etc.

      The black plague actually was the elite who control this psycho ward we live on .They poisoned their well waters to depopulate and get rid of the vulgar profane and the feeders this what they call us .I know people within this secret society of the highest degrees of evil.,who have lost everything from leaving this cult.They love land grabbing a friend of mine in Maui said all the elites painted the roofs of their houses blue 6 months before the fire started and we’re completely untouched.The fire was instantaneous .it was not a fire that spread although they were winds,A direct energy weapon was used it hit anything that wasn’t blue within that area of destruction . A blue umbrella at a picnic table also cars tha were blue did not burn .So unnaturally hot was the heat where cars literally melted into the ground aluminum and glass do not melt under regular fire conditions average fire minimum 400° to 1200° . To melt aluminum you need at least 3500°. People are too trusting of the system we live under. We’re living in days where the truth is coming out a lot of people don’t want to hear it ,but I feel it necessary to share this with everybody so we know who the real enemy really is.

    First time watching your channel. It's like going to "vintage school". Your knowledge of history and dates is impressive. My grandson is into trains and is very knowledgeable. I never thought about giving him train memorabilia like the patches and fireman badge but I bet he would love them. He's 9 and loves to visit the train museum in Portland, Oregon and compare notes with the old guys that volunteer there.

    George that is an R. Atkinson Fox print... It's called Loves Paradise, I have a large one of that print from the 20's. I have Maxfield Parrish prints too, or I probably wouldn't have a clue that was a fox print. I have a calendar from I think 1922 of fox print with a dog checking on a baby... That's one of my Favorites. That and Parrish's Ecstasy which I have the large 20's print of that too.

    • @TheAntiqueNomad
      @TheAntiqueNomad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're absolutely right, and I have to admit I thought it was Fox at first, but the original paper on the back was ink stamped Maxfield Parrish. Very strange! Thank you for the correction, I should've double checked but I trusted what the manufacturer put on it. I wish I could fix that in the video somehow, I hate to misinform people

    Thanks George!!! Loved the longer premier!!! A lot more info to take in, too😉 I have the Napco rainbow trout planter in the older version, and the 70's version. The older version is a lot thinner than the later one. Loved the Maxfield Parrish print!!! Since I draw and paint, he has always been an inspiration. I had, at one time, the McCoy bobwhite planter...don't know what happened to it, though😧 So many super-cool, beautiful items tonight!!! Oh yeah...loved the large bittersweet vase🤣🤣🤣

    Hi George! Love your videos, been watching for a few months now, I learn so much every time, so thank you so much! Ive yet to resell anything though have started my little collection of thrift finds to hopefully do so in the future. I had a thought and question for you - would you ever consider donating/gifting the indigenous/native vintage finds like the baskets in this video to either the original communities theyre from or any local indigenous communities that would be open to receiving the items? Im thinking about it in terms of cultural preservation and indigenous communities reclaiming their culture/history, etc. after experiencing so much erasure and what not. Its a thought I ask myself as well as I start venturing into this exciting world of collecting and reselling in hopes of always aligning the things I do with my politics. Anyway, just curious, and thank you again for all the knowledge you share!

    • @TheAntiqueNomad

    I need you when I go shopping. My goodness, you could sure help hold the reigns back for me LOL. Very informative. Thank you so much. I had some Andrea by Sadek. but it wasn't bisque and I think fairly modern. But it sold fast. I have yet to find anything from my ancestral tribe, The Blackfoot Indians, except for modern stamped boxes. We robbed and stole from our own people, but I would love to find some historical something of theirs. Thanks for the info!!!!

    • @TheAntiqueNomad
      @TheAntiqueNomad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! I wish I could find something from them too, my niece is 1/8 or 1/16 Blackfoot on her father's side. I'm afraid we did most of the raiding of native items, but I imagine some will come back to their original owners. I'm glad you enjoyed it, hope you'll like, subscribe and tell your friends!
