Have heard the Live at Leeds Magic Bus so many times & this time your comment made me realize that YIKES, Entwistle did stuff with the bass from another dimension that was underneath everything he did. Love it, love it, love it. Played "Magic Bus" for my wife during our weekly "Music Appreciation Hour" a few weeks back. She's 59 and I'm 65. I think it was lost on her.
Great track. Also, great job in fitting 1970 Isle of Wight video to the Live at Leeds audio. The Leeds audio is the 7-33 mins here and the Isle of Wight Magic Bus was just over 3-30 mins, so well done on the genuinely great work in repurposing the Isle of Wight various video segments to fit the Leeds audio.

One thing for sure in the year 2023 -- there is NOBODY in the world today who comes even remotely close to the Who. They were so damned good and special and we'll never see their likes again.
@@daddyboy3546Thank you. Everything from Tommy to Who Are You, including Live At Leeds, are rock cornerstones, in my opinion. Quadrophenia is their magnum opus. Tommy is superb, Who’s Next is a masterpiece, and Who Are You is a great victory lap.
@@allbottledup9513 I agree-sort of: let’s start with Who Sell Out in ‘67 as the start of their peak-a peak higher than 99.9% of any band aside from the Beatles IMHO. Let’s end with Quadrophenia. It’s a stretch to go much beyond ‘73. Odds and Sods had better songs than Who Are You-and those performances on Who Are You, esp Keith Moon are pretty awful.
Went to see the Who in2019 and was guest vocalist in a Who Tribute band. Went by myself and couldnt find an Uber or taxi back so I walked all the way to a restaurant at least 14 blocks away..halfway home. I thought I could get a cup of tea and then go the remaining 14 blocks. Across the street from the deli was a few people with Who backstages on and one invited me with them and we went upstairs to the upper part of the restaurant. I was asked what I did and I told them I did guest vocals for the Who tribute. They asked which one and I told them and they said they were friends with them! This was amazing because the band was in another state from.me..and so were they!💜🎸

Kieth Moon ... Askew genius, watching him play is like watching a wind-up toy whose spring was wound so tight it busted the gear. Arms flailing around in crazy motions in an unrecognizable unconventional movement that simply works.
@@chasbodaniels1744 a classic case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. I wish Moonie had lived. On "Who Are You", the album, the drumming was when Moon was more or less clean. The drumming was cleaner as well yet still unmistakable Moon in that oddly inventive and idiomatic style of his. It would have been very interesting to see where he went with it creatively over another few years.
They were so fantastic! They were just so special and wonderful and magnificent in every way. All these years later, since I was a teenager back in the 60s and 70s, I love them even more than I did back then.

So unbelievably understated. Thanks for your comment.
@@johndannenbrink7590 Townshend always maintained that Entwistle was the true soloist of the band.
give some credit to Bo Diddley
The Who didn't like playing this song live anymore but THIS is the BEST live version of this song EVER!!
Good to see you know your performances, isle of wight is one of my favourite performances of all time
This is NOT LEADS, you MORON!
Teenager and young people...this is pure Rock n Roll. Your parents grew up on music like this. Send me back to the late 60s and the 70s.
✌and ♥️ from the 🇺🇸
One of the all time best bands
Magic bus. One of my Dads favourite songs. Built and repaired buses most of his life
This was back when rock god's walked the earth. Glad to have been a young'un back then. Great clip. Thx Diamond.
Ritchie Blackmore's still around, but he's doing folk music with his pretty young wife. But he's rock's one true Guitar God.
Wildman Keith Moon is so fun to watch! This band was so full of energy. I love it!
Whoo-hoo! My rock-loving daughter bought the live Leeds album two weeks ago! Insane low price for a perfect secondhand import vinyl.
John Entwistle Fantastique !!! L'un des tout meilleurs bassistes du monde à cette époque. Les rythmiques du groupe lui doivent beaucoup. Grossse performance d'ensemble ... Keith, Pete et Roger toujours à la hauteur ...
My Dad was there! In fact, if you listen closely, you can even hear him right at the beginning yelling YEEEEEEEEE.........YEEEEE HA! Haha!
Dad, everytime I hear this song I think of you. I miss you with all of my (broken) heart but at least I can enjoy listening to the music you loved because I love it too 🥺😊
one of the greatest live albums
This song was always associated with great rode trips for me; the Who knew how to rock!
My favorite recording of my favorite song by the Who. Powerful times ten.
R.I.P. John Entwistle the perfect Bass-player of old school, he is one of the greatest.
No he isn't. He is THE greatest.
@@davidbourke9457 agreed , the ox ,thunder fingers , best bass player ever , proper rock star

And he died like a proper rock star!
Long Live The Ox
@@daGO_BLUE you know
That chug chug of the bass....Damn...
The best song from the best live album ever. No band comes close to the Who.
Agreed ! Best live album of all time
At their best, greatest live band ever.
Spot-on !!!
It kills me everytime I think about Keith Moon. No matter what you say, he was a brilliant drummer!! Life is not fair!!
Best performance of this song!! They were in a different galaxy in this show :)
Absolutely agree. The sound of that guitar is legendary. Keith Moon at his best.
One thing for sure in the year 2023 -- there is NOBODY in the world today who comes even remotely close to the Who. They were so damned good and special and we'll never see their likes again.
Echo to you Joe, the best, simply the best....Pete & Roger + Orchestra are touring in the UK this summer. Long live it!
NO BODY AGREES with YOU!!! ............................ BUT I DO! LOVE THIS TAKE.
There were bands that were the nucleus of modern rock n roll. The Who was one of them. Pinball Wizard solidified that. Who’s Next album was history
Quadrophenia!
It IS THE greatest live rock album of all time. By the greatest live band of all time.
The Who is a best gruop rock in live all times , Entwistle are perfect , Moon player strong , Peter inspirade and Daltrey's voice power , sober !!!
i'd go for best live group. maybe not best overall group but on stage they are in a league of their own
@@CG-or1re The Who

Greatest rock and roll band of all time IMO.
I will have to disagree here. My vote is for the eternal Rolling Stones!!!
I STARTED LISTENING TO THEM WHEN i WAS TEENAGER, NOW i AM 78!!
Yeah man! Very strong.
@@michellewatters1386 i agree. ""the who sell out" is intelligent beyond belief and rips all the other "concept albums" to shreds. Be Blessed
Roger Daltre had such a strong voice, of a real man! I have ' teenage waistland 'rolling around in my head for abaut a week. 😃
Bring solid old rock back please..I'm 66 can't listen to the new stuff..well some of it
Long live rock be it d
Moon's cymbals always sound like storm waves on a galeswept Cornish beach, rising right over the top of the music, amazing!
Well said.
CAN NOT GET BETTER THAN THIS!
live was the best too.
This was amazing because the band was in another state from.me..and so were they!💜🎸
I took a pizza to a random house in the woods turns out it was some grunge super studio not only had sound garden recorded black hole sun there it is the same location Dave Ghrol penned Everlong, there was a Marijuana pipe on the table outside I laughed and delivered the pizza and keep going
In 2019 The Who were a Who tribute band.
Kieth Moon ... Askew genius, watching him play is like watching a wind-up toy whose spring was wound so tight it busted the gear. Arms flailing around in crazy motions in an unrecognizable unconventional movement that simply works.
Yep, the more footage I see of Moonie, the more amazing he seems. Really, each of the 3 musicians were brilliant and unique in their styles.
He, Ginger,and Bonzo.Best
They were so fantastic! They were just so special and wonderful and magnificent in every way. All these years later, since I was a teenager back in the 60s and 70s, I love them even more than I did back then.
I rode on that bus in 1968 on my way to a country in Southeast Asia.
Caught that same bus back home in
1969.
Glad to be riding that Magic Bus.
I was right behind you: Jan 70-Oct71. 😎

why doesn't this have like a billion views??
This video is composed from several different ones. The soundtrack is definitely from the Leeds concert, but not the videos.
If it had been filmed, it would certainly have 100 million views. For me, the greatest live album ever!
I remember listening to this when I was about 9. Started my lifelong love of rock .

One of my favorites’,can’t ever get enough!
Music today really sucks compared to this amazing talented stuff!! No need for dancing girls or chicks shaking their asses this is pure music for the head!
Whoa, this takes me back! Clearly the music and visuals are from 2 different shows, but I don't really care. Seeing The Who in their prime was worth it..
We miss you, Keith and John!
God bless the Who. 🇬🇧
