On my most recent five day dry fast (I have done many short and long dry fast before) and my myopia completely healed. No need to wear lenses anymore! Dry fasting is the fountain of youth everyone is looking outside of themselves. 58 years old here and will always be dry fasting. Also after you dry fast many many times your body become so much more efficient at absorbing nutrients , you actually want to eat less and the energy is there and you have absolutely no deficiencies. Even a ten gram of protein becomes like you are having 100 grams of protein. I am also a raw vegan.

@@etcetc3800 👑 I Myself have dried fast for 7 days. Keep in mind there are 2 different ways to dry fast.
The first and most intense way is no water comes into contact of your body at all. That means no brushing your teeth, washing your hands and taking any baths or showers. Which I won't do because hygiene is very important to me. Especially after Covid.
The second method of dry fasting is, soft dry fast. Which you can take showers, wash your hands and brush your teeth. But you don't consume any water or liquids at all.
But keep in mind your body that God created is very intelligent. If you are not drinking any type of what or liquids for a long period of time? Your own body will produce its own water within it cells.
This is why people who do dry fasting still urinate during the fast.
Thomas has a older video about dry fasting. And explains it perfectly on how your body is still producing water on a dry fast. I am sure you can search for that video on TH-cam.
      I hope this help?
Take care. Stay Safe, Healthy And Bless.

There is a book about dry fasting called The Phoenix Protocol, by August Dunning, which goes deep into the biology of dry fasting while at the same time being easily understood and an easy read. I have dry fasted for as long as 55 hours - and I’m in my late 60s- and felt better for it, and the book explains how to dry fast for up to seven days and describes circumstances in which people have done so for as long as 21 days.

After the first 36 ish hours I no longer felt the need for my vasovagal compressors I take every 4 hours for the past 10 years for severe Orthostatic Intolerance. I feel it seemed to balance out my electrolyte/mineral balance which is often disrupted by a water fast. Unfortunately it didn't heal all my dysautonomia issues & I did resume medications after a few days. Currently just a few weeks off giving birth so no fasting for me but can't wait to get back into both wet & dry fasting next year for some serious healing! :D Thanks for the book recommendation. My wife DRY FASTS for 2 weeks at a time, and has done so over a dozen times. She IS NOT DEHYDRATED. She urinates after 14 days dry because her body makes it's own 'in house' metabolic water from fat and oxygen. She has pounds of overweight to lose. She is very much alive, and I saw her 10 minutes ago. She sleeps more than usual, and is retired from a working job. She is alert and on the internet right this minute as she dry fasts.

These days a friend sent me a yogue/ayurvedic retirement where you would go on a 21 days fasting, with the first 7 ones being a dry fast, where you remove all the things that supports your ego... Sounds like it would give you all kinds of problems like constipation and other issues with being dehydrated. I’m not trying to be a hater I’m just wondering if this is worth it and if the studies bother to look at it from those angles as well, chemotherapy is good at killing cancer cells but it still reeks havoc on your body and almost kills you. If the cells are otherwise fairly healthy, does this need to happen, And what’s the downside what happens elsewhere in your body that’s going to be damaged by dehydrating? Did they discuss any of this in any of this research?

Like yesterday, i finished eating at 5 pm. then i dint drink anything until the next day at around 1 pm.
    Is this dry fasting ???
I usually wake up, rinse out my mouth ( but dont drink), weight myself, get dressed and then strap on my 26 pound backpack , and take my dog for a brisk 2 mile ( or more) walk.
When I get back , i do my another daily weight in because im charting how certain things and activities affect my weight.
its only after i get back from the brisk walk that I drink anything, water, or tea ,or cocowater ( check out the electrolyte profile, its amazing !!!) or the acv drink.
( I carry water in my pack ,its there if i need it)
ive been doing this daily for about 2 months now.
ive dropped 17 pounds.I have few body aches anymore. My osteoarthritis isnt flaring, my skin looks better and i feel more relaxed.
IM 64, female, reasonable shape, although i gained a lot of weight during isolation. Its coming off very easily and fast.
so , did i stumble onto dry fasting accidentally because i wanted to weight myself after working out but before consuming liquid ?????

As a practitioner of "Dry-Fasting" for aiding in my fight against a couple of medical conditions, I have found it to be impossible to describe/justify it to almost anybody, from my various Doctors, Specialists, to regular everyday people.
The most common response "You will die after 3 days.
Sure you can point them to accepted, published Soviet Studies from the '60s through the '90s, as cutting-edge research going on today, but they just can't get past you're going to die.
I find your video on this to be a perfect primer, especially because although folks claim to want to hear the "science" from a "Doctor" most do not have the patience to dive deep on either.
The bottom line is most of us just want the easy button to pique our interest, then don't even bother with the data, if we feel good about that easy button.
Thank you for being that easy button :)

Trouble with dry fasting is..... possible Bladder infection due to acidity. There will come a time when you stop urinating, and the small amounts of urine made will sit in your body, and cause the infection... you might mistake its a gal stones. An exray, ultrasound, and blood work will might have to be utilized to rule out gal stones, pelvic bone fracture, hernia, prostrate, and other possibilities.

Dry fasting has been a part of Islam for hundreds of years now. Every year we do it for one month, dry fasting from dawn till dusk. Plus, it's not just a dry fast, it is a dopamine fast too. We know that it has its own benefits. Science will catch up eventually.

    • @ernestwest6861

I've heard that people eat and drink just as much during Ramadan, they just do it after sunset. So wouldn't it be more like intermittent fasting?

    • @hassaanfarooqui9818
      @hassaanfarooqui9818 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

@Ernest Yes, it is a form of intermittent fasting. But there are multiple facets of an Islamic fast. So from dawn till dusk, no food or water, no sex, no cursing, shouting, lying, telling tales, falsely testifying. So I consider it as a so-called "dopamine fast" as well.
I will say though that most Muslims are not perfect when it comes to fasting. Some only fast for a few days in Ramadan, and most only adhere to the prohibition of food, water, and sex. But that is not the perfect Islamic fast.

1000s of years before Islam was even conceived - dry fasting has being documented, studied, practised and mastered by Hindu sages - later also practised by Jain sages.
Jains in India even practise a procedure of giving up water completely as a culmination of their fast which begins with giving up food. They then attain the most peaceful and non violent forms of leaving their bodies called Sallekhana.

I don't do it often or for very long, once or twice a week 16 to 20 hours max, but it makes a huge difference in my mental clarity and my energy levels. I highly recommend giving it a try. A 16 hour dry fast can make a world of difference and you're sleeping most of that 16 hours if you time it right.

It's only new to those who need science to coin things with a name. Drs, healers, and those in need of healing have been fasting for healing for thousands of years. It may seem primative to so called modernist but you're learning that the ways of the ancients were far more advanced than ourselves. It wouldn't go over clearly here to many so digress but it's us that's primative, for dis honouring our ancestry. Good to see people catching up. You can go through your long list of words and wizardry for whatever it pleases in yourself but, Long story short fasting helps with healing and health. It's the only healthcare one needs along with a balanced diet. Stop eating food processed by factory's. That's witch craft don't believe me ask Mc Donald's how meat and food that's supposed to rot. Like you have to understand people food is supposed to break down. If the food isn't breaking down or can't cultivate life on it's own like a farm fresh sweet potato would when replanted we need to ask our selves is so called science helping in all aspects.. no it's not. In many venues science is what's killing us. Round up anyone..

I'm looking to do a 72 hour fast and will only be drinking the below. ( I Assume the below does not break the fast)
    1) Half tea spoon of Matcha green tea and pure ground ginger. (3-4 times a day)
    2) ACV in water. (3 times a day)
    3) Cut Lemon pieces in water with half teaspoon of Ginger (3-4L)
    4) 1 teaspoon tumeric powder in water ( 2 times a day)

Jesus did this, the ancient Jews did this at Yom Kippur at least; I haven't looked all the way into the Jewish fast, and the Mohammedans do this every year at Ramadan, so this is good stuff! I do it as well, every day! 💪❤️

As far as I know, they eat every night during ramadan. (I may be incorrect).

@@keithshaw2269 Yes, at dusk and before sunup, my studies indicate that they may. I have heard that they are discouraged from eating a lot quasi gluttony, but yes. I went on a 5-day fast doing 12 hours dry on each day with nothing more than hymalian salt, water, ACV, and black coffee (American and Greek "sketos" or no sugar). I was getting more and more alert and powerful as the days went on. On the last day, I was cranking out pushups, and typical "boot" training regiments from what I remembered in the US Coast Guard 30 years ago. I have never felt better. Truth be told, had I known this THEN, I would have fasted during a lot of boot and active duty because my energy is much better! Cheers!

Question. Does anyone know if taking colostrum in powder form breaks my fast? Currently doing Keto 20/4 daily fasting.

Can IDF (intermittent dry fasting) work in a similar way to IF (intermittent fasting)? Thinking of having a 9 15:9 or 8 16:8 hour drinking window.

I find dry fasting easier than fasting with water for 16 or 23.5 hr if not working outside
I found the not drinking water suppress hunger magicly

Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him dry fasted every Monday and Thursday. That's spaced out enough to shock your body and doesn't slow down metabolism . Also he fasted 3 days in the middle of every month.

So if I wake up in the morning after fasting and head out for a hike and realize I could be better hydrated don't turn around for water. I've actually thought about that and wondered. About to do a five day very wet fast. Maybe I'll try an unhydrated hike one morning. Should I jump off the cliff also?

Make sure you bring a water bottle just in case, when doing the unhydrated hike though. You surely know that you are taking some life-threatening risks there, right?
