    I would love a vlog about what made you change your views on witchcraft and what are they today? My love goes to you on your health. I have been seeing many women developing autoimmune disorders. I had dealt with chronic severe inflammation, pain and headaches for over 6yrs and it continued to get worse till I was bedridden. I researched and educated myself for years since Doctors only made things worse with pharmaceuticals. Today I am independent again and only have 1-2 headaches a month compared to before having them daily. My inflammation has gone down significantly and no longer need pain medicine. I am here if you need anything and I’m more than happy to share anything if it can help in any way ❤️

      Thank you so much for your kind comment and for your concern and support 💜 I am so sorry you dealt with chronic pain for so long. It’s wonderful that you’ve been able to reduce the headaches so much though, and that you’ve been able to get your life back! May I ask what helped for you? (You can also message me on Instagram or send me an email if you don’t feel comfortable sharing here).

      @@theskepticalwitch6611 Out of all the things I tried, there were a few that worked. The immune system was high jacked with foods that I was allergic to without knowing like: Gluten, Dairy and surprisingly some food preservatives.
      #1 eliminated food allergens
      #2 I did a parasite cleanse (1st with food-grade Diatomaceous Earth for 6months) (2nd Zahler ParaGuard Cleanse liquid drops for a month)
      #3 Coffee Enemas once a day (cafe MaM is specially made for enemas and is organic. ( coffee enemas reduce inflammation and pain as well as purge heavy metals and other toxins the have accumulated in the liver for years) Drink water or fresh juice before enemas*
      #4 I took Medical Grade RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) I found the best quality from: Cannabis Health Radio Podcast. This is potent for pain, autoimmune disorders and cancer. It’s intended to be used for 3 to 6 months ONLY. Except in cases were the patient has rare cancers that are allowed to take a lower maintenance dose to stay in remission.
      - The RSO was a game changer for me. My pain went from severe to mild and my insulin resistance healed and lost 40lbs as a result. I ended up with better digestion, better sleep, better concentration and memory and stronger immune system.
      #5 After 3 months of RSO I replaced it with NMN+TMG from donotage.com I researched for months and found that this company is transparent with their products and have 3rd party testing which is a must when buying supplements. I take 1g of NMN in the morning with water and 2 capsules of TMG at bedtime with water.
      You can learn why about NMN and TMG online. I recommend research documents or studies from David Sinclair to better understanding the benefits and importance of them.
      - Lab work is very important in my opinion as it sets a baseline for where you’re at health wise. I recommend a full CBC (complete blood count) and a thyroid and liver panel. This will be of great help to see if there are any hormonal imbalances, infections or abnormalities. Later you can check for inflammation markers and nutrients. I don’t recommend a food allergen test as they are not too reliable. You do best saving money and just doing an “elimination diet”.
      Best of luck. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me. I’m happy to help in anyway I can. Take care🌸

      I think it’s best to not skip health steps as they ensure your success in healing.
      I learned through many years of reading medical literature and research that the best approach is:
      • Eliminating
      • Clearing
      • Restoring
      • Maintaining
      - To (eliminate) the things or foods that affect our bodies. To (Clear) the body of toxins, parasites and heavy metals, so our organs can function properly and efficiently. To (Restore) our health through environment, supplements, foods best suited for our body type and gentle medicine. To (Maintain) your health by always educating yourself and keeping healthy habits that best suit your body type and lifestyle❤️

    I resonate with so much of what you said...I am an agnostic witch but I've been learning about Indigenous-led environmental activism and feel like there's so much benefit to looking at the Earth from an eco-spiritual perspective...and I'm so sorry to hear about your health.

      Also, wanted to add that working with elements (especially Earth) makes me feel more connected to the Earth.

    Absolutely loved your presentation (and the panel with Sedna!), definitely my fave things at the con and the "soft" animism/new animism and eco-materialism angle really hit me dead center in a bullseye as far as my own burgeoning and developing esoteric/magical practice! Excited to see more videos on those topics from you, but yeah absolutely go at your own pace. Whatever "regular" means, I'm down for any schedule that lets you express a passion and explore it while like not worsening migraine/mental health.
    Also completely agree with the Greek root of inquiring and questioning deeper into things being more what I identify with as a "skeptic", like in the sense of Pyrrho (or like, on the topic of appropriation, the likely Cārvāka/Lokāyata sages Pyrrho ripped his ideas off from while on campaign with Alexander in India same as Aristotle ripped off Buddhist and Hindu sages he debated while on the same campaign) rather than modern idk like reddit bro "skepticism", and definitely think critical has less baggage than skeptical despite that root being something I align with so much!

      Thank you so much!! And I’m glad you enjoyed those parts of he con. I’m excited to make more videos too, and would also love to hear your thoughts on animism and witchy/magical practice.
      Pyrrhoism is something I want to learn more about, as I find the philosophy very intriguing… I didn’t know about the appropriation though, but should have guessed haha. That’s super interesting, and I feel like I may go down a bit of a rabbit hole looking into that now!

    Please develop your ideas on animism with us. I like to realise, as I garden, that there are other agents in the world I inhabit. From the birds that want to share my crops to the microorganisms whose space I disturb every time I dig I try to be conscious of them and what we can do to get along better.

    • @theskepticalwitch6611
      @theskepticalwitch6611  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      That’s beautiful, I think gardening can be an amazing way of more deeply connecting with other than human beings. Thank you for your comment and suggestion, I’ll definitely make some videos on animism 😊

    Eeeeeeee! I was so jazzed to see that you posted!
    I’m so sorry to hear about the chronic migraines and needing to take a pause on your phd- chronic pain really REALLY sucks.
    I’m definitely interested in all those video topic ideas, but especially the animism. Recently I’ve really been thinking of myself as an agnostic animist witch, and trying to kind of be in a spiritual space that’s skeptical but playful but still spiritually meaningful. Plus, like, a heavy dose of folklore lol
    I’m going to try to go watch at least some of those recordings. I hadn’t heard about this con and I’m also pretty chronically low on energy, but it does sound really interesting and fun.

    • @theskepticalwitch6611
      @theskepticalwitch6611  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Thank you so much for your kind words! Your practice sounds so much like what I’m trying to cultivate in my own, especially the inclusion of more playful elements and folklore… I was in a rut with my witchcraft and spirituality for a while, and I’ve found putting more emphasis on just making it fun has been so helpful.
      I feel you with the chronically low energy haha. But if you’re able to I definitely recommend checking out the recordings, there were some really wonderful talks and discussions relating to things like animism and getting to know/working with one’s local environment on a deeper level 😊

      Very interesting point of view, could you please elaborate regarding implementing folklore in your witchcraft practice?

    • @brigittaalbares3417
      @brigittaalbares3417 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Snoopitsa0405 for me it influences how I think about and incorporate land and household "spirits" into my practice. I know other witches use it to inspire and inform the writing of new spells or incorporating folk correspondences into their spellwork. Also I just often prefer fairy tale figures over deities. I saw the author Kelden at a conference last winter and his talks about what exactly folklore is (anthropologically speaking), the different parts (stories vs superstitions vs rituals vs clothing etc) was really cool and I got a couple of his books. I haven't read them yet, but one fo them is next on my list for late autumn reading.

    This was so cool to see you experience the witchcon! Thanks for sharing. I very much enjoyed your talk by the way!! Hopefully you can get some rest and it's good to hear you're prioritising self-care! ❤ I also found it interesting to hear your thoughts about the words skeptical and skeptical witch. When I first found your channel it was so important to hear those skeptical/agnostic ideas (and they still are important for me) because I was trying to find my place within witchcraft and it helped to realise that I could create my own version of witchcraft/magick. But I understand that your view has evolved and I love to learn more from you and widen my scope as well. I'm also super fascinated by animism which I'm exploring slowly as well. So I'm excited for how your channel will evolve! (But self-care first, so no hurry or pressure making videos).
    PS. Thank you for mentioning my blog in the description!

      Thank you so much for your kind words! It was so lovely meeting you in (virtual) person at the con, and your workshop on zines was awesome. Hopefully I’ll get around to completing one soon!
      I’m so glad that my channel had that impact for you and others! Something I definitely want to continue to foreground on this channel is that people can create whatever version of a witchy practice that works for them, as I think this is so important! 😊 Thanks so much and I would also love to hear your thoughts on animism as well!

      @@theskepticalwitch6611Thank you! It was so cool that you participated in my zine workshop! Maybe I'll write a bit about animism in a future zine. But I need to do some more learning/thinking/practicing first. 🙂 Alex Wrekk is also really into animism. I hope they will publish a zine about it. Would be cool to have a panel or talk about it at the next con too.
