Part of the impact of that alley scene is that they used the same sound recording technique that they learned on accident from Heat. Instead of putting in gunfire effects in post-production, they realized from Heat that the sound of the blanks was better because it echoed so well in that urban environment and felt way more real for the audience. So they did the same in the alley, but this time on purpose. (Learned that from one of the making-of extras.)
Interesting and to me that makes the most obvious sense.
"Yo Homie, that my briefcase?..."
Love the editing and the actual effort to go full costume and gear in all your Vids.
Appreciate the kind words. Thanks for tuning in!
Watched this scene over, and over, and over. One of the top ten movie shooting scenes in history. Good job on the breakdown, well done!
Much appreciated. Thanks for watching!
This is the best video of the USP .45 I've ever seen.
Much appreciated, thanks for watching!
This is some quality content.
Much appreciated!
I love that movie. But on the topic of iconic scenes...If I think about Collateral, I always think about the club scene.
The club scene is a close second. Would have loved to use the "Ready, Steady, Go," track in this video!
The club scene is a classic but Replacement Killers opening came first.
Slick Editing and a Great Topic, Def a underrated channel
Much appreciated! Thanks for watching.
Sick! Have 3 of them
I'm picking up my HK USP 45 on Tuesday. HKs are my favorite brand. I have quite a few models. I can't wait to add this classic to my carry rotation. 😎
How much was it?
@@itzjxcksxn2209 I don't share what I pay for stuff. Go to your LGS or online to compare for the best price.
@@itzjxcksxn2209 you can find on Buds gun shop around $1000
How are you doing with your USP.45?? …. I’m guessing you have plenty of rounds on it by now.. Have you tried any .45 super through it yet??… How you you like the USP.45 compared to the HK45?? …. Lastly, have you tried any of the USP compact models? If so, how do you like the USPc .45 compared to the HK45c??
@@user-sj4nx4mt8c Hey! The USP .45 is top-notch! Very smooth shooter. I also like my USPC .45s, USP Compact 9mm, and USP Compact 40. I don't have the HK 45 yet, but I will soon. As far as the HK 45c it is my EDC!
Great vid / editing / taste. Slight correction -- I believe -- about the order of development. I'm fairly sure the USP entered development before the SOCOM program for the Mark 23 (1989 vs 1990 or so). When development began on the Mark 23, HK based it on their preexisting concept for the USP. I remember hearing or reading SOCOM was afraid operators with heightened adrenaline would inadvertently decock the USP's safety/decock lever instead of simply disengaging the safety from Condition 1. For this reason, the functions were separated into two different levers on the Mark 23's large frame. Much of the development of the two pistols ran concurrently, of course, but the USP 40/9 were released to the public in 1993, and the .45 in 1995 -- then finally, the Mark 23 was delivered to SOCOM in 1996, same year as the release of the USP Compact. And the USP Tactical in '98 (I'm hazy on the Expert and Elite timeframe). Yo homie.
Wow- well put together vid.
Much appreciated!
Man I Hope Ur channel grows rapid
Much appreciated!
I’m so glad others saw that scene the same way I did. I was 21 when I saw that movie and had just purchased my first handgun so that was almost 20 yrs ago and that yo homie part I just kept rewinding it on the dvr over and over again and then also was In love with the USP from age 13 from using it in the OG RB6 I own an HK 45 c but still don’t have the USP but I will one day.
"Yo Homie!" will forever be a classic. Thanks for tuning in and sharing your experience!
I am so glad I kept my usp 45acp
beautiful love letter to both the usp and movie. if you grow your hair out you could use the suit for a val kilmer heat larp
Much appreciated! A Heat Larp would be awesome!
Amazing work good sir 🔥👏👏
Thank you, much appreciated!
For volume 9mm, for Schopin power 45 ACP. Great video! Getting a can for nefarious purposes would be difficult, and concealing adjustable sights wouldn't be reccomended but curious if the USP Tactical was considered for Vincent's wet work. For screen purposes/practicality the size and muzzle reports might have been a factor.
There's a 20rd 45acp version of the gun and that's scary😂😂😂
This is a great channel
Much appreciated!
Very nice editing
Thank you, appreciate that!
Your vid’s are awesome
Much appreciated!
Favorite movie of all time. Cruise busted his ass training for it.
He certainly did! Thanks for checking out the video.
Beautiful editing and good shooting! The usp 45 can push you around a bit, it takes being a little more deliberate with the fundamentals to shoot as well as a modern 9mm. But again, awesome production value
Thanks for watching!
underrated movie underrated preparation for all those scenes
Tom Cruise really got after it! Thanks for watching.
Vincent flies in LAX and gets a briefcase on the spot. He probably worked with the firearm that was included with the workups and details for the hits. He would not have necessarily have chosen it himself, if we follow the info provided in the film. Nice video!
Interesting perspective, thanks for tuning in!
The club shoot out was great too!
That it was, such an awesome scene!
love it when this channel uploads, keep up the good work classified! (also damn yt back on its bullshit, huh?)
Much appreciated. More content coming soon!
Well done
Much appreciated!
I just bought a USP in 9mm. I’m already have it in 40 cal. My next purchase for sure is the .45 ACP version gotta have the trifecta
You cannot forget there's the compact, tactical, expert, and elite. It's more than a trifecta.
Omg. Editing 10/10, shooting 10/10, music 11/10. Subscribed to your channel.
I would very appreciate if you could please share songs names❤I went to another channel which you provided in the description, but there’s too many soundtracks. I tried Shazam, but it didn’t work.
And thank you for this video again❤❤❤
Appreciate the sub, glad you enjoyed the content. I will post links to some of the tracks shortly.

What holster did you use in the recreation?
what kind of sights are you running?
What sights are on the USP? Is it a tactical model?
This movie had a great soundtrack
The club scene + "Ready Steady Go" was perfect!
@@OperatorClassified I’ve played Guero Canelo by Calexico on two dates now and the girls thought it was a cool song
Sick video, really well edited, but i need to know the track you used at 1:00
Much appreciated. Regarding the music, 99% of the tracks I use are from @whitebataudio.
I definitely got USP 45 on my radar. Just put a USP 9 Expert on layaway yesterday.
Do you mind sharing the cost of the expert? TIA
@@Rakaben I went a different route and got 3 other guns instead. The USP was in the shop for $1450 though.
@@Catgat37 Smart choice, thanks for your prompt replying, I appreciate it.
@@Catgat37 I’m sorry but I have to ask you another question if you don’t mind, was the USP expert new or used, and did it have the jet funnel if you happened to notice. I apologize again and thank you very much.
@@Rakaben New, no Jet Funnel.
is it just me or am i having deja vu
Its not you, had to re-upload due to a TH-cam issue. Thanks for tuning in!
so john wick inspired by collateral?
Sorry what's the name of the music at the beginning?
Opening track is "Be Quick or Be Dead" - Karl Casey

@@OperatorClassified ok, thanks a lot!!!
Are those mepro light sights on your Usp?
Believe so, previous owner had them installed and was actually impressed by them. Not "film correct" but enjoyable none the less.
collaterals biggest mistake was killing him at the end so you couldn't have a sequel
Indeed. I'd still watch a prequel.
Fifth round in the film was a miss, although it was Hollywood, and was deemed allowed for badass sake, but the fact of the engagement, in film, is 80% hit rate.
What a unique channel, you should call these series... Notorious?
Much appreciated! Solid idea!
@@OperatorClassified does this channel have a discord?
Is this a Popo Medic second channel?
As a Popo Medic fan I approve of this hypothesis
Conceal carries a .45 🗿
Dude please teach me how to make vincent hair
That my friend is a long lost art form...
HK fucking rules!!!
It does indeed! Thanks for checking out the video.
Not reversing the magazine's top round in your glamour shots of the gun reveals that you are an HK casual. Delete your channel.
Shout out to the USP9!
