quick note: I am giving this review as a beginner to instant cameras (which i mentioned in the video). I wanted to be very transparent about my experience and things I learned along the way - like getting the right lighting for example. *My intended audience are people who are beginners to instant cameras, looking for something cost effective, and easy to navigate/use* , because thats me!! and thats the video i was looking for on youtube but couldnt find it, so decided to do my own review. Not every review I am going to post will be positive, but I want my audience to know that I'll always be honest with them. i really love how you take us through a journey with your camera. we get to see the pictures that turned out good and the ones that turned out bad while hearing your thoughts. the overall flow of this video is so nice and satisfying to watch!!
Polaroid Go is a great camera, but any Polaroid camera has a learning curve! Fuji is much more beginner friendly and usually gets the right shot, but I encourage you to keep playing around with the GO. I had a fuji instax 11 I used until I got the GO and now I never even pick it up because I love Polaroid so much more, Great video by the way! :)

Thanks for your honesty but this is what happens when younger kids who don't understand how film cameras work get one. Its not an iPhone or a digital camera, which is pretty much all most under 30 know these days. You have to understand lighting, how and when to use the flash, distance from your subject etc...People who don't understand these things are better off with the Fuji Instax cameras that does everything for you, they just don't have the Polaroid look. The Instax cameras all look too digital and too clean to me. I'll take your Go camera though :)
I appreciate your honesty as well! The Polaroid Go definitely requires more patience for the reasons you’ve listed. And I agree, Fuji instax is good for beginners on a budget :)

I may be giving a go for this Polaroid Go, despiste of the size of the film being tiny, tiny, tiny. I enjoyed the features, I think this is supposed to be fun, point and shoot etc. And that's the beauty of the instant photography. The more you know your camera, the better your pictures become. This is a great review. It's not very often that beginners can have a review from beginners. I hope from now you are mastering your camera and having fun with instant photography. Thanks for sharing!
I grew up using a film camera and I know about lighting, so I'm not discouraged by your review. I know how how to expose film and the fails you took are expected under the lighting conditions and the movement (walking down the grocery aisle). This camera and film combination have limitations, so it's meant for certain types of shots only. I'm sure it can produce wonderful shots in the right conditions. Thanks for the excellent review.
Omg the past few days I have been researching instant Polaroid photos, worked out hobi has the Polaroid go, found this video, and saw in the thumbnail ‘love yourself’ and I was like omggggg army!! Haha I love this video thank you so much!
@@AfraAlam omg definitely go for it! I love his theme and style! I loved Polaroid cameras before he got Instagram, but he’s making me gain much more of an interest and want to turn it into a hobby! He’s called hobi as well hahaha, dad Jin joke ik. But yeah for a while I was like what camera does he use? I was stuck between the polaroid now or the instax square sq2 that he could be using due to the picture type and photo quality difference. Then I tried looking again at his non polaroid photos and zoomed in and the camera he’s holding, matches the Polaroid go! Looked more into this camera and found your video!

I think a lot of people are so used to the control of a DSLR/Mirrorless camera, and the ease of camera on their cell phone they expect a lot more from instant cameras. Instant has a very limited range of shutter speeds, and the iso is fixed to the film. You also need to have a small bit of photography and Polaroid/instant knowledge to be able to compose your shot to have and have a idea of what the end result will be. Taking photos and just hoping they come out a certain way gets very expensive when it comes to instant photography.
My favorite feature is the double exposure mode!!! You can really get creative and come up with some cool shots. I love doing them when I go out with my friends, makes a fun souvenir at the end of the night for everyone.
Thanks for the review! I expected much worse from the thumbnail! Your pictures were quite good. You cannot really shoot a sky at night with most modern instant cameras, and double exposures are not easy - you need to turn the flash off and avoid white backgrounds (in your case both exposures were pretty light). One thing I didn't understand is why you had those issues with the camera. Might be the camera malfunctioning or some feature you activated?

as much as this could be some of the cameras fault it could also be some development issues like maybe you did not store the photos correctly because for me i have only had like 2 bad photos with the polaroid go
There's method to the madness of film photography. Double exposures only work of the forst picture leaves part of the film unexposed. The stop sign would have worked great if the aogn itself had left the film unexposed.

I bought one a few weeks ago, and i personally love it. All my photos are hit, and miss that are not perfect, but that is what i love.
I ordered the white one. I have an old school Polaroid so this kinda brings back memories. I hope to get some cool pictures.

Polaroid actually has a vıdeo on how to use the camera. After watching it, it was easy to use.
